Chapter 1 Crossing into the River

thump……

Gurgle gurgle...

"Ouch! The little girl from the Jiang family jumped into the river! Hurry up and save her!"

"Is he alright?"

"Oh, why is this kid so desperate? If he jumps into the river in the middle of winter, he'll probably freeze to death if he doesn't drown!"

"Who says it's not? And she's a girl. She's going to suffer a lot in the future. This child has a miserable life."

The chattering and incessant talking gave Jiang Yanqing a splitting headache, and a piercing cold spread throughout her body, chilling her entire heart.

Jiang Yanqing subconsciously wanted to open her eyes, but her eyelids seemed to be stuck with glue and she couldn't move.

What made Jiang Yanqing even more horrified was that she didn't even have the strength to lift her eyelids, let alone check what was going on with her.

But something is wrong. I am clearly in the bathtub at home, drinking red wine, watching TV series, and taking a nice bath. Why is it so cold?

Jiang Yanqing's heart was pounding. The voices coming from all around her gave her a bad feeling. She was afraid that she was in big trouble this time.

Moreover, perhaps because it was too cold, Jiang Yanqing felt a splitting headache. After a few seconds, her neck tilted and she lost consciousness.

Seeing Jiang Yanqing fainted, the aunties and sisters-in-law who were watching the excitement nearby hurriedly shouted to send him back to the Jiang family, trying their best to save his life.

I don’t know how long I was in a daze. Jiang Yanqing was lying on a wooden board, covered with a dirty and clumped quilt. She was curled up tightly, with a wrinkled and pale face, and she looked very uncomfortable.

Jiang Yanqing, who was trapped in a dream, was really having a hard time at this moment. Fragments kept flashing through her mind, as if she was looking at other people's lives from a God's perspective, but she also felt as if she was the protagonist herself.

The protagonist of the story is also called Jiang Yanqing. The little girl is only fourteen years old. Before this year, she was a happy little princess, the only daughter of her parents, and was loved by everyone.

However, just half a year ago, her parents died overnight due to a sudden mine accident. The little girl was sent back to her father's hometown, and her nightmare life began from then on.

What made Jiang Yanqing frown was that the scenes in the dream seemed to be the streets, houses, and monotonous clothing of the 1970s and 1980s.

The scene changed, and Jiang Yanqing suddenly appeared in the home she had lived in before the accident. It was a luxurious villa. Looking around, everything seemed so familiar. It was the home her parents had given her after bringing her to the city.

Jiang Yanqing looked down at her clothes. She was wearing a patched blue jacket and was barefoot. Her white and tender little feet didn't seem to be her size 39 feet.

Jiang Yanqing's heart skipped a beat. Oh my God, what is going on?

Just as Jiang Yanqing was about to go to the cloakroom to look in the mirror, she suddenly felt a strong force pulling her, and the person on the wooden bed suddenly opened his eyes.

The faint sunlight shining in from above made Jiang Yanqing, who had just woken up, feel confused. It seemed that she had never seen a roof with wooden beams like this since she came to the city at the age of twelve.

In addition to traveling, there are some wooden houses and earthen houses in the tourist attractions, but they have been well repaired. How could the roof be so shabby as this one?

His eyes rolled around, scanning the mottled walls within his sight. Combining this with the scenes in his dream and the feeling of physical discomfort, Jiang Yanqing had some guesses in his mind. He sighed helplessly, supported himself with his arms, and sat up.

After sitting up, my vision became much wider. This seemed to be a woodshed?

Jiang Yanqing had a big question mark in her mind. Isn't it too harsh to treat a patient like this?

But on second thought, considering what the original owner had gone through in the past six months, he was lucky not to be thrown into the back mountain while sick.

At this time, Jiang Yanqing was basically certain that she had caught up with the time-travel trend and traveled back in time to become Jiang Yanqing in the early 1980s.

Although I don’t understand why taking a bath in the bathtub at home can make me feel like I’m traveling through time and space.

Just as Jiang Yanqing was about to sort out her memory, the already shaky door was suddenly pushed open by someone from the outside, and a big-faced woman wearing a khaki jacket came in.

The woman had a big, round face and a plump body. It was obvious that she ate well. However, the moment she opened her mouth, Jiang Yanqing was so angry that she clenched her fists.

"You silly girl, you're still lying here pretending to be dead after waking up. Hurry up and get up to the mountain to collect pig grass."
