Chapter 131 Old Man Qin Lies

Fang Mingxiao took the porcelain jar that Jiang Yanqing stuffed into his hand in a daze, then looked up at Jiang Yanqing's back and smiled helplessly.

But she still obediently used a cotton swab to dip the ointment and applied it on her legs little by little.

Considering Fang Mingxiao's allergies, Jiang Yanqing didn't make anything too complicated for lunch. She fried an egg, made a simple broth, added two bowls of clear soup noodles, and served them out.

After a while after dinner, the urticaria on Fang Mingxiao's body subsided a lot, so Jiang Yanqing did not stop Fang Mingxiao from going out, as he still had to give extra lessons in the afternoon.

The two of them will be returning to the county town tomorrow. Jiang Yanqing suddenly remembered that Old Man Qin was alone. Since she had nothing to do in the afternoon, she decided to take some food and go see him.

Jiang Yanqing prepared some easy-to-digest cakes and biscuits, wrapped them in oil paper, and picked up a basket of vegetables and meat. Then he put on his hat and went out.

Jiang Yanqing has always had a good memory. He had been here once before, and this time he didn't take any detours and arrived near the county government compound.

Jiang Yanqing turned and arrived at the house where Old Man Qin lived. She knocked on the door, and a strong voice came from inside, "Who is it?"

Jiang Yanqing answered loudly, "It's me, Grandpa Qin." It was strange to say, he had never been a person who liked to meddle in other people's affairs, but he inexplicably felt a sense of closeness to an old man whom he had only met a few times.

Perhaps she really missed her grandfather so much that she subconsciously found a person to rely on in this strange world. This is how Jiang Yanqing comforted herself.

Just as Jiang Yanqing finished speaking, there was a burst of hurried footsteps from inside, accompanied by the sound of the door opening, revealing an old face with a smile as big as a chrysanthemum.

"Hey, Xiaoqing, you're here. How come you have time to come and see me, an old man who has no one to take care of him?"

Jiang Yanqing took a step forward and replied leisurely, "Grandpa Qin, I know no one cares about you, so I just came to see you!"

Old Man Qin looked at the large and small bags in Jiang Yanqing's hands and quickly reached out to take them. He said politely, "Look at you, you came just in time and brought so many things. Oh, there's even meat. Make me some braised pork tonight, please?"

Jiang Yanqing followed Old Man Qin into the house. After putting all the things on the table in the main room, she took a look around the courtyard.

Fortunately, he is a clean old man. Although there are a lot of things in the small yard, they are arranged in an orderly manner and the house is also clean.

It only took a blink of an eye for Jiang Yanqing to take a look. After sitting down at the table, he replied, "Grandpa Qin, I came here suddenly. I hope I didn't disturb you."

Old Man Qin took out a box of tea from the cabinet, put it on the table, and said cheerfully, "No, I'm so happy. Oh, Xiaoqing, you don't know, I sit alone in this yard every day, from day to night, and there is no one to talk to."

"I haven't boiled any water yet. I'll go boil some water to make tea. Xiaoqing, please sit and wait for a moment."

Having said that, without waiting for Jiang Yanqing's answer, he hurriedly walked towards the kitchen in the west. Jiang Yanqing looked at the old man Qin who was so lively, rubbed his forehead helplessly, and said nothing.

Old Man Qin was busy in the kitchen, and smoke soon came out of the roof. Jiang Yanqing was bored sitting in the main room, so she stood up and was about to go to the kitchen to help.

Hearing the movement at the courtyard door again, he shouted, "Grandpa Qin, someone is coming."

Old Man Qin was just heating up the firewood and didn't hear what Jiang Yanqing called out. He just casually replied, "You go."

After hearing the answer, Jiang Yanqing walked to the door and opened the yard door. Standing at the door was a young man in his twenties. He was fair-skinned, wearing glasses, and wearing a casual shirt and trousers.

The man pushed his glasses up on his nose, squinted his eyes and looked at Jiang Yanqing, then asked, "Who are you?"

Jiang Yanqing was also a little confused and replied, "I'm here as a guest at Grandpa Qin's house. Who are you?"

The man nodded and replied politely, "I'm Qin. The Grandpa Qin you're referring to should be my maternal grandfather. My name is Yu Jiahe."

Jiang Yanqing opened her eyes slightly. Grandpa? Didn't Old Man Qin say he was a lonely old man? Was he lying to her?

Thinking of this possibility, Jiang Yanqing became slightly angry. She turned and walked to the kitchen door, grinning through her teeth as she shouted word by word, "Grandpa Qin, your grandson is here."

The firewood in Old Man Qin's hand dropped with a click, and he hurried out. He glanced at Jiang Yanqing, who seemed to be smiling, and then glanced at Yu Jiahe who followed him in.

I thought to myself, oh no, my secret is exposed. This kid didn’t come earlier or later, but today at least. What an unfilial descendant.

After thinking for a while, his face changed, and he pointed at Yu Jiahe and cursed, "Who are you, you stinky boy? You pretend to be my grandson, but who am I to blame? Do you think you can cheat me of my property just because I'm alone?"

Yu Jiahe has an innocent face. The Qin family has so many grandchildren, but his grandfather usually loves him the most. What is he doing?

Thinking about it, he glanced at Jiang Yanqing who was watching the show with his arms folded, and understood in his heart, because of this little girl?

But Yu Jiahe couldn't figure it out, so he could only say weakly, "Grandpa, please don't be like this, I'm scared."
