Chapter 328 Weird Roommate
The School of Medicine was indeed a bit far away. Fang Mingxiao and Jin Lan walked for a full twenty minutes before they reached the registration office of the School of Medicine.
After successfully registering, Jinlan asked, "Do you want me to take you to the dormitory?"
"No, I don't live in school."
Jin Lan was also from Kyoto. Upon hearing this, she thought Fang Mingxiao was also from here and lived at home like her.
But he still kindly reminded her, "Student Fang, the school requires freshmen to live on campus."
Fang Mingxiao frowned, "My home is nearby, can't I go back?"
"Of course you can go back during holidays, but the dormitory will check the number of people at night. Freshmen come from all over the world, so it is easier to manage them."
Fang Mingxiao sighed silently in his heart and felt a little unhappy. Wouldn't this reduce a lot of opportunities to be alone with Qingqing?
"Then please take me to see the dormitory!" Fang Mingxiao nodded politely.
"Of course, come with me!"
Jin Lan took Fang Mingxiao to the male dormitory of the medical department, registered him at the door, got him a water card, and let him go in and find the room he wanted to stay in.
There are four floors in the dormitory, and Fang Mingxiao lives on the third floor. Looking at the crowded eight-person dormitory, Fang Mingxiao's face was full of unhappiness.
After a quick look, Fang Mingxiao saw the bed with his name on it, the lower bunk near the window, so he walked out of the dormitory again and prepared to go back to get his quilt.
When Fang Mingxiao came out again, Jin Lan had already left. Fortunately, Fang Mingxiao had a good memory and walked out of the school gate smoothly.
After returning home to get some simple luggage and two thin quilts, Fang Mingxiao returned to school. The dormitory was already crowded with people.
There was someone making the quilt on each of the five beds, and one bed had already been made, but no one was seen.
Fang Mingxiao came to his bed, where there was a bulging woven bag. There was no one beside the bed, and the upper bunk was also empty.
Looking at the people busy coming and going, Fang Mingxiao scanned the area and silently took down the woven bag, placed it beside the bed, and began to make his bed.
Fang Mingxiao had just made the bed and hadn't even had time to turn around when he heard an exaggerated voice from behind, "What's going on? Why are you throwing my things on the floor?"
Fang Mingxiao turned around and shook his head innocently, "I don't understand what you are saying."
The visitor was furious. He pointed at the woven bag on the ground and said, "I mean, why did you throw my things on the ground?"
This time he spoke in Mandarin, but still with an accent. Fang Mingxiao could barely understand, "This is my bed."
"Then you should wait for me to come back and return the things to me!"
"Why?" Fang Mingxiao stood there quietly, looking at the pale and skinny boy in front of him.
The boy had a baby face and looked about the same age as Jiang Yanqing. He was so angry that his face and eyes turned red, and he looked like he was about to cry.
Seeing that the two seemed to be arguing, a boy came over and tried to persuade them, "Well, we will be classmates and roommates in the future, so let's forget about this little thing!"
Fang Mingxiao looked at the other person helplessly, holding his forehead weakly, "I, didn't say anything."
The boy also wiped his tears with the back of his hand and explained with a choked voice, "He, he didn't bully me. I didn't want to cry, but I couldn't help it."
Fang Mingxiao: ...Really, no one will believe you if you say that.
As expected, the person trying to stop the fight sighed and patted Fang Mingxiao on the shoulder, "Brother, forget it!"
Fang Mingxiao waved his hand, pushed the two people away, and walked out of the dormitory.
The boy sniffed aggrievedly and explained, "It's my fault, it really isn't his."
After explaining what happened, the man who tried to stop the fight, Qi Bin, also imitated Fang Mingxiao's actions just now, holding his forehead helplessly, "Why didn't you say so earlier?"
The boy's name was Wenhao, and his eyes turned red again. "I, I, I wanted to explain."
Qi Bin quickly changed the subject, "Alright, alright, stop crying. Why is a grown man always shedding tears?"
Wen Hao wiped his tears and said, "I, I can't control myself. No matter whether I'm happy or angry, tears just flow."
This is absolutely true. In their later interactions, Qi Bin and Fang Mingxiao were so helpless about Wenhao's crying behavior that they had to act as protectors.
After having lunch in the school cafeteria at noon, Fang Mingxiao returned to the dormitory and discovered that Wenhao was actually his upper bunk bed. He made up his mind to have less contact with him in the future.
But, a good girl is afraid of a clingy man, and here, a good man is afraid of an even more clingy man.
"Classmate, what's your name? Oh, it's on here. Fang Mingxiao. It sounds really nice."
"Classmate, where are you from?"
Fang Mingxiao glanced at Wen Hao coldly, "What's wrong?"
Wen Hao's eyes were slightly red again. "I just want to apologize to you. I'm sorry, it's my fault that you were misunderstood."
"Okay, I accept your apology. Can you please stay away from me?"
"I, I was wrong." After saying this, he temporarily moved away from Fang Mingxiao.
After a while, he came closer and said, "Mingxiao, can I call you that from now on?"
"Have you eaten yet? Do you want me to bring you some?"
"We will be bunk-sleeping brothers from now on. I will definitely get along well with you."
