“These are the ones you gave me last time. They’ve already provided a new batch, and my people have received them,” Long Yunting said, looking down at her with gentle eyes. “Thank you!”
“It’s what I should do,” Sheng Qian said, raising her hand to hook the back of his neck. “I will give you even more in the future. I’m happy to be able to help you.”
"I have nothing to give you..."
"Didn't you give him to me?" Sheng Qian smiled and kissed him on the corner of his mouth. "You are the greatest return gift."
Long Yunting's eyes darkened slightly, and he kissed her deeply for a while before letting go: "Were you drinking outside?"
“No, I just had a meal with my cousin and I smelled of alcohol,” Sheng Qian said, not mentioning Song Yuzhou, as she didn’t think it was necessary. “I went to the Helan family today; my grandmother and the others wanted to meet my adoptive parents.”
"You've made your decision, so go ahead and do it. Don't worry too much about others. Think about yourself too, Qianqian. I want you to be happy."
Sheng Qian smiled and snuggled into his arms, feeling very safe and secure leaning against him.
Long Yunting hugged her and leaned down to kiss the top of her head.
The next day.
Sheng Qian then went to see Sheng Li and Luo Minjuan.
Hearing that Sheng Qian had something to say to them, the two were a little confused, but they still sat at home waiting for her to come over.
Sheng Guanhua and the others had already been sent away, leaving only the couple at home.
"What's the matter that requires Guanhua to leave?" Luo Minjuan asked, somewhat impatiently, when she saw Sheng Qian.
Sheng Qian glanced at the two of them and said, "You probably already know about my background."
The two women froze abruptly. Luo Minjuan forced a smile and said, "What background? What are you talking about? I don't understand."
Luo Minjuan simply refuses to admit it, and as long as she doesn't admit it, Sheng Qian will never learn about her true parentage.
Sheng Qian didn't say anything more, but sat down opposite them and said directly, "I have already reunited with my biological parents."
