Fu Huoqing had an inexplicable fondness for Sheng Qian.
He wanted to give Sheng Qian the best, which was very illogical, but it happened to the two of them.

Sitting at the table by the window, Yan Shuze straightened his suit and stood up. Ever since Sheng Qian appeared, his gaze had never left her.
The possessiveness in his eyes was enough to make one's scalp tingle.
Fu Huoqing and the others were perceptive people. They realized that Yan Shuze was coming towards Sheng Qian, and subconsciously stepped in front of Sheng Qian to block him.
Xie Linlang, who stood up with Yan Shuze, pursed her lips slightly and, following his gaze, immediately noticed Sheng Qian.
She hadn't known Yan Shuze for very long; it was only in the last year or two that his personality changed, making him difficult to understand. Even in the last year or two, she had become quite familiar with the changed Yan Shuze.
His possessiveness towards that beautiful woman was so intense, so undisguised.
Xie Linlang slowly clenched her fists, trying to calm herself down in this situation.
Yan Shuze didn't like women who caused trouble; he preferred women who were intelligent and decisive—in short, unique.
Sheng Qian felt a warmth in her heart as she watched Yan Shuze walk towards her and saw everyone blocking her way.
"Young Master Yan, no, I should say Patriarch Yan, congratulations on gaining control of the entire Yan family," Sheng Qian said, though her words were congratulatory, the sarcasm in her eyes was undisguised.
Yan Shuze smiled wickedly, his gaze fixed on her. "Qianqian, it's been a long time. I think we'll meet every day in the future."
A faint, cold smile appeared on Sheng Qian's lips. "Yes, we will meet every day in the future, Patriarch Yan. No matter what methods you use, I will accept them."
Sheng Qian's aura changed dramatically in that instant.
Despite the presence of so many people, the aura between the two was so strong that no one could penetrate it.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” Yan Shuze said with a smile, taking a step closer.
"Patriarch Yan, it would be best to keep some distance," Fu Huoqing said coldly, reaching out to block his forward movement.
Yan Shuze's eyes turned cold, and he was about to grab Fu Huoqing's hand, but Sheng Mu raised her hand to block him first.
The atmosphere reached its peak.
Sheng Qian smiled and patted Fu Huoqing, signaling them not to block the way. She walked to the front, keeping a few steps away from Yan Shuze, a dangerous distance.
But Sheng Qian showed no fear.
Yan Shuze, standing before them, exuded an aura of malevolence, as if he were about to strike at someone at any moment.
Sheng Qian looked at him and said, "Patriarch Yan, let's talk about our matter later. I see the woman behind you is still waiting."
Xie Linlang then stepped forward, extended her hand to Sheng Qian, and said with a graceful and poised manner, "My surname is Xie, Xie Linlang."
"Sheng Qian," Sheng Qian said calmly, without shaking hands.
"Surname Sheng?" She couldn't help but look at Sheng Mu.
Sheng Mu said nothing, seemingly acknowledging that Sheng Qian was a member of the Sheng family.
Sheng Qian replied, "There are many people with the surname Sheng in Country Z, but not everyone with the surname Sheng is a family. There are also countless people with the surname Xie, so it's impossible for everyone with the surname Xie to be a member of the Xie family."
Xie Linlang smiled slightly, "You're right, it's really fate that you two can be friends."
“Miss Xie is right, we have a connection from a past life,” Sheng Qian said, looking at Miss Xie with a half-smile.
From the moment she opened her mouth, I could sense Miss Xie's hostility towards her. Without a doubt, she's another one who likes Yan Shuze.

Yan Shuze raised an eyebrow, his gaze turning cold.
"Ms. Xie, we are only in a cooperative relationship; we haven't reached the point of sharing weal and woe yet."
Xie Linlang could barely maintain her smile. To be humiliated like this in front of others, Yan Shuze was indeed different towards Sheng Qian.
Xie Linlang knew that angering Yan Shuze at this moment would be pointless and would only make her feel bad.
We might also miss out on future opportunities.
Gritting her teeth, Xie Linlang forced a smile and said, "Then I'll take my leave now. I hope to see you at the Xie family home tomorrow."
After saying that, he nodded slightly to them, turned around and went downstairs.
When she reached the first floor, she looked up and glanced back upstairs.
No one gave her a second glance. From her angle, one could see even more clearly Yan Shuze's infatuated gaze towards Sheng Qian.
