For the first time ever, Sheng Qian actually slept until eight o'clock.
Sheng Qian squeezed her soft arm, feeling a little worried. "I finally got my body back in shape, and now I have to start all over again."
Sheng Qian got up to cook breakfast. All the ingredients she had stored in her space were gone, so she could only cook rice. She rummaged through the kitchen and finally found a few pieces of pickled vegetables, which she ate two bowls of rice with.
Unlike those days when there were rice cookers, now there's only a small aluminum pot and a stove. Fortunately, Sheng Qian wasn't a pampered young lady who couldn't handle water; she knew how to cook and had quite a few survival skills.
After finishing breakfast, Sheng Qian slapped her forehead.
"Am I stupid?"
Her money!
We should have gotten some of the money from Shengli yesterday.
Sheng Qian went out for a stroll.
Familiarize yourself with the terrain.
Since I'm getting married right away, I'll definitely have to leave this family eventually.
I can no longer enjoy the village's resources.
Sheng Qian went up to the top of the hillside behind her, intending to run a few laps there to exercise.
"Sheng Qian".
After Sheng Qian ran five laps, slightly out of breath, a voice came from behind her.
Sheng Qian turned her head and saw a young man wearing a straw hat and sweating profusely talking to her.
She was quite clean-cut and pretty, and her age was the same as Sheng Qian's now.
"Didn't you get married? Why are you back in the village?" Liang Qiushen asked Sheng Qian.
Sheng Qian's eyelids twitched, revealing a hint of displeasure: "Just because you're married doesn't mean you can't go back to the village. Besides, what does this have to do with you?"
When Liang Qiushen saw the fierce look in the girl's eyes, he was immediately stunned. Then he said to Sheng Qian, "The township propaganda team asked me to do something. I'll be leaving the village soon!"
As he said this, a hint of smugness appeared in Liang Qiushen's eyes.
Sheng Qian raised an eyebrow: "So?"
“Sheng Qian, you’re married, but I don’t like you. So, don’t come looking for me anymore, it’s bad for me.” Liang Qiushen took two steps in place, seemingly hesitating about something, and said through gritted teeth, “Your brother fell from that height because he shielded you from that blow, it has nothing to do with me. Also, when you told me last time that you would give me that house, I… I didn’t take it seriously.”
"..."
Sheng Qian's eyelids twitched violently.
So, was Sheng Guanhua's injury caused by the original owner of the body?
Liang Qiushen glanced over again and saw that Sheng Qian's expression had changed. Thinking that Sheng Qian had not given up on him, he hurriedly said, "You're already married. I wouldn't do such a shameless thing. Even if you get divorced, I would never marry a divorced woman."
In those days, divorced women were seen as promiscuous and dissolute.
Liang Qiushen considered himself a high school graduate and an intellectual in the village, and he would never marry a foolish woman who had never been to school.
Moreover, Sheng Qian is already married.
Seeing that Sheng Qian's expression was even more somber than before, he stammered, "Of course, if you still remember how good I was to you before, and insist on giving me that house in town, it's not unacceptable. After you give me the house, I will..."
Sheng Qian curled her lips coldly, "Are you done? If you are, then get out."
What a big face.
Marry her? And you want her house too.
That was her betrothal gift!
For the sake of this house, she also has to take care of the wounded for a month.
No, I won't wake up; I'll have to stay here a while longer.
This kid came out and rattled off a whole bunch of stuff, and in the end he even wanted her house. He's asking for it!
Liang Qiushen's eyes widened, seemingly not expecting the gentle and weak Sheng Qian to say such cold and harsh words.
"Sheng Qian, you..."
"What do you mean, 'you'?" Sheng Qian's eyes were sharp, like shards of ice piercing through.
Liang Qiushen was so frightened by Sheng Qian's sudden fierce look that he took a half step back.
Sheng Qian narrowed her dark eyes. "You brat, you deserve a beating. Get as far away from me as possible, and don't let me see you again. I'll beat you every time I see you!"
Liang Qiushen's eyes widened even more, filled with disbelief.
Sheng Qian grabbed a clod of mud from the ground and threw it at Liang Qiushen.
The loose soil hitting Liang Qiushen still caused some pain.
Liang Qiushen quickly dodged and ran far away.
"You brat, you dare to try and swindle my house? You're asking for trouble."
Sheng Qian patted the mud off her hands and muttered a couple of curses.
Sheng Qian knew that the original owner had hurt Sheng Guanhua, so she lost interest in running downstairs and hurried home.
Sheng Li and Luo Minjuan went out and it's unknown when they'll be back, leaving Sheng Qian alone at home.
Sheng Qian didn't go to work. She looked at the things in her space, took out a bag of rice, and found that the magical situation from last night hadn't happened.
So I simply stopped having any wild ideas.
"Sheng Qian," a strong voice called from outside the door.
Sheng Qian was thinking about where to get some meat for lunch, as the original owner's malnutrition was seriously affecting her performance.
To recover, you need to eat meat.
Hearing the shouts outside, Sheng Qian was a little annoyed. "Who is it?"
Just as he answered, the person outside pushed the door open and came in, speaking in a very aggressive tone: "I've called you several times, why didn't you answer?"
Brother, you only called out once, why did you keep calling out repeatedly?
"What's the matter?"
When Sheng Muchen saw Sheng Qian giving him a cold shoulder, his expression immediately turned ugly: "You have nothing to do at home. Your grandparents live with us, don't you know how to go home and help with chores?"
Upon hearing Sheng Muchen's words, Sheng Qian knew that the person in front of her was her uncle's son.
Sheng Qian glanced at him out of the corner of her eye.
Although Sheng Qian was malnourished, her eyes and brows revealed a tenacious spirit, and at first glance, she was quite stunning.
Because of farm work, his small face, no bigger than a palm, had been tanned to a wheat color.
Even so, it couldn't hide her captivating charm!
