"You're scaring me."
Long Yunting's voice was hoarse, concealing fear.
Sheng Qian was taken aback, then hugged him back: "I'm sorry, it won't happen again. This was just an accident, I'm perfectly fine."
When she said this, Sheng Qian herself wasn't very confident.
Because she saw her body momentarily become transparent.
She was scared too.
I'm afraid I'll disappear from this world without a sound.
She feared that she had come here only to fulfill her wish to cleanse the place, and would then return to her original position.
Sheng Qian suppressed her fear and told herself not to overthink things.
Knock knock knock!
Long Shaotian and Long Xingzhou knocked on the door.
The two then released each other and looked at the two people who had entered.
"Second sister-in-law, are you alright?"
"It's alright, I'm sorry to have worried you all," Sheng Qian squeezed Long Yunting's hand, "I'm fine now, go back so your family won't worry."
“My second aunt and the others are on their way,” Long Xingzhou said. “Everyone was very worried when you suddenly disappeared. They’re here to make sure you’re alright.”
“Call them. They don’t need to come over. We’ll leave the hospital now,” Sheng Qian sighed. “I don’t want to cause trouble for my family over such a small matter.”
“Okay,” Long Yunting nodded and got up to go through the formalities.
Long Xingzhou raised his hand to stop him. "I'll do it, Shaotian. You call your second aunt and tell them we've gone back now, so they don't have to make another trip."
"I'll go make a call right now," Long Shaotian glanced quickly at Long Yunting and went out to make the call.
Long Xingzhou also went to complete the formalities.
Long Yunting turned around and tidied up Sheng Qian, "Are you hungry?"
Long Xingzhou and the others had already bought breakfast and brought it in, placing it aside. Long Yunting opened it for Sheng Qian, where there was still warm porridge and side dishes.
"I can do it myself," Sheng Qian said with a smile as she took over the task of feeding him.
Long Yunting watched her eat, his eyes filled with a fear that she might suddenly disappear.
Sheng Qian felt helpless under his intense gaze: "You should eat too, don't just watch."
Long Yunting then took another portion to eat.
After Sheng Qian and Long Yunting finished breakfast, Long Xingzhou completed the formalities and was ready to go home soon.
They came in two cars. Long Xingzhou told them to take one car back, and Long Yunting arranged for someone to drive the other one.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Long Shaotian kept glancing back. He could see Long Yunting holding Sheng Qian's hand tightly, while Sheng Qian, feeling a little tired, was leaning on Long Yunting's shoulder with her eyes closed, resting.
Long Yunting gently brushed the hair that had fallen onto Sheng Qian's face, a true display of tenderness amidst toughness.
Long Shaotian couldn't describe how he felt at that moment.
His second brother was overjoyed with his second sister-in-law.
No.
I should say I absolutely love it.
Long Shaotian didn't even dare to imagine what his deeply affectionate second brother would do if something happened to his second sister-in-law.
*
As soon as they arrived home, they saw Hou Guifang and a few others standing at the door waiting. Before the car had even come to a complete stop, they ran up to her, asking, "How is Xiaoqian? What did the doctor say? Is she alright?"
Sheng Qian opened the car door and got out. "Aunt Fang, I'm fine. I'm sorry to have worried you."
"It's alright, it's alright," Hou Guifang quickly took Sheng Qian's hand: "Come on, come inside. We've already prepared a nutritious soup for you. Drink some and then get some rest."
"Yunting, you've been up all night too, go and rest with us."
"Second Aunt, I have something to do at the company," Long Xingzhou glanced at the time and hurriedly left.
Long Shaotian also had something to do, but he only made a phone call and asked for a day off.
Greyley walked over and exchanged a glance with Long Shaotian.
Long Shaotian shook his head at her.
We should talk about it later.
"grandfather."
Sheng Qian greeted Elder Long.
Elder Long was also very worried about Sheng Qian and didn't sleep well all night.
"I'm sorry to have worried you, I just suddenly had a bit of low blood sugar."
"Yunting, take Qian back to rest. Since everything is alright, don't stay here. Go do what you need to do."
Once Elder Long spoke, everyone stopped bothering Sheng Qian.
Without saying a word, Long Yunting led Sheng Qian back to her room, and soon after, Hou Guifang brought soup into the room.
Sheng Qian drank it before going to sleep.
Long Yunting also didn't sleep a wink all night, and Sheng Qiande pulled him to rest.
Sheng Qian woke up after a while, and looking at the person lying next to her, her eyes couldn't help but soften.
Looking down at their tightly clasped hands, I couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache.
Although Long Yunting didn't say it, he must have been terrified.
It scared him yesterday too.
"I'm sorry, I scared you," Sheng Qian gently touched his face, "I won't leave you."
In the following days, Long Yunting stopped patrolling the compound and stayed by Sheng Qian's side even when there was something to do. During this time, they also visited He Lan's house.
Life suddenly seemed to become quite pleasant.
Sheng Qian quite liked this comfortable life.
“I heard that the Helan family is going to hold another graduate student recruitment fair in District S,” Sheng Qian said, lying on a bamboo chair facing the clear sky. “My dad mentioned it when I went back to the Helan family last time.”
"It's not a big deal, and the graduate student recruitment didn't violate any rules," Long Yunting said, so he had no objections?
Sheng Qian wouldn't get involved in the S area, so she didn't deliberately inquire about what happened there, although some people still mentioned it.
She guessed a lot as soon as she heard it.
