Cang Jue clenched his fists, and seeing that Arthur hadn't made a move, he couldn't help but wonder if he was afraid.
Carlos stared coldly at Cang Jue, wanting to see just how much trouble this eagle beast could cause.
Carlos waved his hand, signaling the males behind him to attack. Cang Jue realized they were about to gang up on him and immediately shouted...
"Hey guys, come down and have some fun!"
The orcs of the Sishui tribe, brandishing their claws in the air, swooped down, snatched up orcs, and dropped them high into the sky. The desert, devoid of trees and rocks, was like an air force without artillery or missiles; it was pure hand-to-hand combat, and the outcome was immediately clear.
Arthur had other plans. Seeing that he couldn't win, and that further fighting would only result in losses, he realized that summoning a horde of beasts wouldn't work either; the desert wasn't a forest, and there weren't enough ferocious beasts for him to use.
Just then, Miksen and Randy arrived, leading their orcish horde towards them. Seeing such a large number of orcs, they couldn't help but marvel.
"Azure Desolation!"
Mickson shouted, and Cang Jue saw Mickson and Randy leading the orcs towards them, but it was far from enough. Even with Arthur's orcs, there were at most two thousand orcs.
The enemy has nearly 10,000 of them. How can we possibly fight them? It's like throwing an egg against a rock.
Arthur stopped waiting and said to Cang Jue.
"You can fly, go find Guo Xiaoxiao quickly, don't linger in battle."
Cang Jue: "Where is she?"
Arthur: "Fly over the two sand dunes behind, to the largest cave, she's inside."
Cang Jue surveyed the surroundings and, realizing he had no other choice, transformed into an eagle beast and flew in the direction Arthur had indicated.
Carlos's goal was clear: to capture and abduct a female, not simply to fight. He wondered how Alark, whom he had sent, was doing.
Slaughter, looting, and screams filled the desert.
The entire sandy soil was stained blood red...
On the other side, Guo Xiaoxiao and Andrei discussed it and decided to stay put. Guo Xiaoxiao was convinced that Arthur was her male, and there was no point in running away. She trusted Arthur.
Andrei waited with Guo Xiaoxiao, but the commotion and sounds of fighting grew louder, making him anxious.
Guo Xiaoxiao glanced at Andrei's face, relieved that Andrei hadn't fainted from the skill; he was still as energetic as ever after the skill was used.
"Xiaoxiao..."
Guo Xiaoxiao heard Cang Jue's voice and immediately jumped up.
"It is Cang Jue, my male."
A fleeting shadow of gloom crossed Andrei's face. He stood up and pulled Guo Xiaoxiao back to sit down.
"I'll go outside and take a look. Don't move yet."
Cang Jue watched me steadily at the cave entrance. Andrei came to meet me, and before either of them could speak, Guo Xiaoxiao ran over.
"Cang Jue, is it really you?"
When Cang Jue saw Guo Xiaoxiao, he was overjoyed. He had finally found her. He went over and hugged her, as if she were a precious jewel.
"Xiaoxiao, I've been looking for you for so long!"
The two embraced, as if nothing in the world could distract them.
"But now is not the time for intimacy," Cang Jue said, releasing Guo Xiaoxiao.
"Come with me quickly, Arthur and the others can't hold out much longer. I'll take you away first."
Upon hearing this, Andrei did not stop Cangjue, and continued...
"Then take her away quickly, she'll never get out once Carlos has captured her."
Cang Jue turned his head
"And who are you?"
Guo Xiaoxiao introduced
"He's the one who rescued me. His name is Andrei, and he's a very kind orc."
"Oh, I see. Let's go first, we'll talk later."
Cang Jue glanced coldly at Andrei, then turned back, grabbed Guo Xiaoxiao's hand, and pulled her forward, leading her to the cave entrance.
"Wait, what will happen to Andre if we leave? Can you take two people with you?"
Guo Xiaoxiao looked at Andrei with worry. Cang Jue had a bad feeling; this orc was being so nice to Guo Xiaoxiao, he must have some ulterior motive.
Seeing Cang Jue's wary gaze, Andrei automatically withdrew from speaking.
"I'm fast, they can't catch me, you go with him."
After saying that, Andrei transformed into a leopard and ran away.
Cang Jue frowned. Giving up on Guo Xiaoxiao so easily? That shouldn't be the case.
Andrei ran several hundred meters before stopping. The closer he got to Carlos, the more oppressive the feeling became; the strong stench of blood made him nauseous.
Looking up, I saw countless eagles and beasts of various colors flying in the sky, their wings flapping wildly, stirring up a gust of sand.
Some captured orcs fell from the sky, crashing to the ground and breaking into pieces.
Forget it, let's retreat...
Arthur and Mickson were fighting and retreating simultaneously, while Cang Jue, carrying Guo Xiaoxiao, flew through the air and used loud bird calls to signal that they were in position.
Those engaged in the battle all looked up and saw Guo Xiaoxiao, her face veiled in black, looking down with wide, round eyes. The sight of the blood was terrifying and horrifying.
Then Cang Jue carried him away.
Carlos roared in fury, "Alark is such a useless piece of trash!"
Arthur shouted as the man was taken away.
"withdraw"
Arthur led the remaining members of his tribe in retreat, fleeing in disarray along with Randy and Mickson.
"Chase!"
Carlos roared in frustration.
Cang Jue carried Guo Xiaoxiao for a distance before landing on the ground. They were in the innermost part of the Forgotten Continent, a very remote place surrounded by desert and an aura of death.
They helped Guo Xiaoxiao find a clean spot on the ground to rest.
"Xiaoxiao, are you tired? Are you hungry?"
Guo Xiaoxiao looked at Cang Jue, who was smiling like a blooming chrysanthemum, and shook her head.
Not hungry
"That's good"
Cang Jue scratched his head. He was hungry, but there was nothing he could do. He'd looked around from the sky and there were no wild vegetables, fruits, or signs of animals nearby. Food was a major problem.
…
After a long time
After driving Arthur and his companions to the far reaches of the Forgotten Continent, Carlos instructed the orcs not to pursue them. The Grayrock Desert was geographically unfavorable to begin with, and further in, there would be no water or food; they would eventually emerge on their own.
