"By the way, who are you? Are you from modern times? Your motorcycle is so cool!"
Ah Zhen didn't hide anything.
"We're from the same era, but I live in the apocalypse, while you live in ancient times."
"No wonder I felt a sense of familiarity with you. You're a woman, right? Your clothes are quite androgynous, but when I put my arm around your waist on the motorcycle, it felt so slender."
"Yes, I'm a woman. I joined the army in the apocalypse, so I have to dress like this to avoid being discovered."
Guo Xiaoxiao sized up Ah Zhen's cleaned body and her 1.7-meter height. She was wearing a mask and her hair was short, likely a wig, and quite fluffy.
"Ah Zhen, you can tell at a glance that you're a woman. In the midst of marching and fighting, people bump into each other and accidentally touch each other, so how come no one noticed?"
If they were in the 21st century, someone would definitely notice, but the apocalypse is also a world of beasts; it's not that no one notices, but rather that no one would even consider that possibility.
Ah Zhen said
"Where I am is also an orc world. They think I'm disabled and don't treat me as a female... The females are all kept in the capital city center, and no one would imagine that a female would join the army."
Guo Xiaoxiao suddenly realized
"You're also from an orc world, so no one expected females to join the army."
Ah Zhen is amazing! Disguised as a man, she infiltrated the army camp—a true Mulan of the beast world! Riding a motorcycle, she's so cool and dashing. Facing so many beastmen, she calmly and collectedly led them away.
Are there different levels for time travelers?
Finally, Guo Xiaoxiao asked Azhen if she had any special skills like Lionheart, which requires no resources, healing spells, or ability boosts.
The answer was nothing.
She had absolutely nothing. In the post-apocalyptic world, accumulating points among mutated beasts could only be redeemed for rewards in the in-game store; no skills were given to her.
Comparison is the thief of joy, and Ah Zhen felt resentful. She summoned the system and asked, "Why don't I have any skills or magic? If I had those skills, I'd be overpowered by now!"
The system brushed it off, saying that Ah Zhen had adjusted her physique and now possessed a two-star ring beast physique. It was normal for Guo Xiaoxiao, as an ordinary person, to receive some skill boosts; you're already very strong, no need to become stronger. And what you can exchange for, Guo Xiaoxiao can't.
Even so, Ah Zhen was still not happy. She couldn't break through to the second star ring and was stuck here. Anyway, she had to be given a skill. Rescuing Guo Xiaoxiao was a special mission, a cross-dimensional operation. What's the use of just giving points to exchange for things?
After much back and forth, the system compromised and agreed to grant Ah Zhen a skill, bestowing upon her an enhanced ability, which finally quelled her anger.
…………
That evening, Ah Zhen lit a fire, and the two ate some rabbit meat, then drank some water and went to sleep. Ah Zhen was physically strong and not afraid of the cold, while Guo Xiaoxiao was afraid...
It was freezing cold in the middle of the night, so she had to hug Ah Zhen to keep warm. Ah Zhen felt a little strange, but seeing Guo Xiaoxiao shivering from the cold, she reached out and hugged her, and the two of them slept on the floor.
The next morning, Ah Zhen woke up very early. The sky was overcast, and although it hadn't snowed, it was still incredibly cold. Guo Xiaoxiao was sleeping soundly, and Ah Zhen called her softly a few times, but she didn't wake up. Ah Zhen then quietly let her go, took her dagger, and went to gather some branches.
The nearly extinguished fire was reignited, raising the surrounding temperature.
The sound of rustling footsteps startled Guo Xiaoxiao awake. Azhen, thinking pursuers were approaching, immediately stood up and warily surveyed her surroundings.
Guo Xiaoxiao said
"Could it really be Carlos who's caught up with us?"
"Possibly," Ah Zhen gripped the dagger in her hand, ready to attack at any moment.
A dark figure emerged from the woods. Tall and slender, it exuded a dangerous aura. Guo Xiaoxiao was so frightened that she took several steps back and almost fell.
Ah Zhen, with lightning speed and a swift movement, blocked his path with a knife held horizontally in front of her chest.
"Don't come any closer!"
The man stopped, looking down at the two of them, his deep, pleasant voice...
"I am Andrei"
The man's voice was a little hoarse, but it was very pleasant to listen to, making one want to get closer.
"Andrei!!"
Guo Xiaoxiao recognized the man; it was him. "Thank goodness, I'm alright," she said.
"Ah Zhen, Andrei is one of us."
"who is he"
Andre asked
Guo Xiaoxiao didn't know how to introduce him, so she simply said
"A kind person I met"
Ah Zhen sheathed the dagger and pushed it aside, not wanting to communicate with Andrei.
Andre scrutinized Ah Zhen; she was dressed strangely, wore a mask, was short, and seemed very strong. He couldn't tell if she was female or male.
"Where are Arthur and the others? Didn't you run away with them? Did you get separated from them?"
"I'm here. I ran faster and got ahead; they're right behind."
Ah Zhen pulled the dagger out again and said...
"Someone else has arrived."
There seemed to be a lot of people. Their feet clicked and clattered on the fallen branches. Andre sniffed; it was a familiar scent—Arthur, Mickson.
"They're here, Arthur and the others."
They finally reunited, and Guo Xiaoxiao was overjoyed. Soon, most of the orcs began to gather around Guo Xiaoxiao.
Mikson, Cang Jue, and Randy stood unharmed before Guo Xiaoxiao. Having survived such a close call, Guo Xiaoxiao felt like crying; it had been so incredibly difficult. Oh my god!
Xiaoxiao
Mickelson went over first, picked up Guo Xiaoxiao, and nervously examined her.
Seeing that there were no wounds, he breathed a sigh of relief, then smiled and hugged her.
I was so worried!
Mickelson hugged Guo Xiaoxiao as if she were a priceless treasure.
Arthur also came over, patted Guo Xiaoxiao's head, and said...
"Don't be afraid, we're all here. Now we're going back to the ancient continent. Once we get there, if the orcs of the Forgotten Continent dare to cause trouble again, Beast City won't stand idly by."
