Chapter 181. Mickelson and his crew devoured the chicken without spitting out the bones; Carlos went on a killing spree.

"Follow me"

Cang Jue held her hand and walked forward along the mountain wall. Suddenly, a huge colorful butterfly flew by.

Its wings were multicolored, fluttering and dancing in the air.

Grabbing Guo Xiaoxiao's hand, Cang Jue ignored the butterfly. In the north, all flying animals are collectively called birds and beasts; butterflies are just larger and pose no threat.

Not long after they left, Cang Jue said

"We're almost there; the habitat of the colorful beasts lies ahead."

Guo Xiaoxiao could hear the crowing of chickens, the chirping of chicks, and oh dear, quite a few of them.

If we catch them all, how long will it take to eat them? We'll stir-fry eggs and tomatoes together, then use the vegetables to make chicken soup, tsk tsk tsk…

They entered the colorful beast's lair and, sure enough, found many chickens.

Their nests are quite peculiar.

They were found either in the cracks of rocks, on tree branches, or in piles of grass, each one round and plump, glistening in the sunlight.

Mainly, they are large, have lots of feathers, and are cold-resistant; they are the fighting chickens among chickens.

Upon seeing the unfamiliar orcs intrude into their lair, they immediately became agitated and charged towards Cang Jue and Guo Xiaoxiao.

They huddled together in a tiny ball, almost scaring Guo Xiaoxiao to death. She couldn't let the chickens suck her food!

Fortunately, Cang Jue protected her in time, otherwise she would definitely have been attacked by the flock of chickens.

Cang Jue kicked two chicks over, scaring the other chickens, who scrambled to escape. Cang Jue put Guo Xiaoxiao down and chased after the remaining chickens and chicks.

He ran violently, stomping three chicks to death in one go, finally driving them all to another path.

He placed Guo Xiaoxiao high up in the trees, and she pointed to the egg at Cang Jue's feet.

"Cang Jue, be careful not to step on the eggs!"

Cang Jue: "Oh, okay."

To make it easier to take Cang Jue away, he even brought a rope. He used the rope to catch the chickens, but they were difficult to catch; they jumped up, flapping their wings so hard that Cang Jue couldn't hold them at all.

They can cooperate in groups, disrupt Cangjue's vision, predict directions, and more. Not only are they large, but their intelligence is also that of a fighting rooster.

Guo Xiaoxiao directed: "Cang Jue, you're behind me."

"It's flying up there!" "Watch out!"

After a long time, Cang Jue figured out their habits, captured five or six of them, tied them together with rope, and placed them at Guo Xiaoxiao's feet.

"Xiaoxiao, you play first, I'll catch some more."

"Uh, I'm not playing."

"I want to eat it," Guo Xiaoxiao said, feeling ashamed.

Seeing that five or six were enough, but Cang Jue was still catching more, Guo Xiaoxiao shouted.

"Okay, okay, we'll just take some eggs back, stop catching them."

Cang Jue stopped and looked at her: "Don't you want them anymore? Since we left last time, they seem to have bred a lot of offspring. I'll have someone come and catch them when we get there."

Guo Xiaoxiao said, "Don't catch them all! Just catch them when you want to eat them. It's so convenient to keep them here; you don't even need to feed them."

Cang Jue: "That's right. Once they're born, we can come and catch them every few days. You can always have some to eat if you want."

The two then played around in the valley for a while before returning to the tribe with the eggs and chicken.

The colorful beast wasn't on the orcs' menu; there was too little meat—it would be gone in a bite or two—and its little legs were incredibly fast, like tiny whirlwinds, making it difficult to catch.

It's better to aim for bigger prey.

That evening, Guo Xiaoxiao and the others had scrambled eggs with tomatoes and chicken soup with vegetables.

The chicken cooking method is simple; Cang Jue handles everything—plucking, bleeding, and cutting—while Guo Xiaoxiao teaches him.

Cang Jue followed her instructions and prepared the chicken. Practice makes perfect; next time, he'll cook it himself.

After Arthur and Mickson return

Three heads surrounding a pot of chicken soup

There's hardly any meat in it, is it even edible?

Guo Xiaoxiao served each of them a bowl.

"Don't just look! Eat some meat!"

Cang Jue and the others used forks to put the chicken into their mouths and taste it.

Mmm, very tender, the bones are crispy, and the chicken meat is soft and chewy.

Arthur loved it: "Delicious!"

Guo Xiaoxiao took a sip of soup: "Right? Eat more."

They were eating meat, making crunching noises, and Guo Xiaoxiao spat out a lot of chicken bones. The area in front of them was empty. She looked at them, puzzled, wondering where the bones were.

Cang Jue looked at the meat in his bowl and asked her...

"What's wrong, Xiaoxiao? Are you complaining that we're eating too fast? We've already tried to eat as slowly as possible."

Guo Xiaoxiao shook her head, "I just spat out bones, how come you didn't spit anything out?"

Cang Jue: "?? You want to spit out the bones?"

They were all swallowed? Guo Xiaoxiao was shocked.

"Do you eat meat without spitting out the bones? You just swallow it raw?"

There wasn't much meat to begin with, and the bones weren't hard, so Arthur said, "Just eat them to avoid trouble."

"Are the bones poisonous?"

"It's not a question of whether it's poisonous or not," Guo Xiaoxiao said.

"It's not poisonous, I was just worried you might have indigestion."

Arthur said casually, "Oh, as long as it's not poisonous, it's quite crunchy."

Mickelson chewed it thoroughly and swallowed: "It's not hard, it tastes good."

Like Arthur, we ate all the chicken bones.

Alright! You wild animals have good digestive abilities, but she can't. Guo Xiaoxiao stopped asking questions. Since she can chew it up, there shouldn't be any problem.

She ate by herself, and Cang Jue found her expression quite amusing. Guo Xiaoxiao was different from others; when she ate, her eyes were wide open and her expression was very serious.

Cang Jue sometimes thought Guo Xiaoxiao wasn't eating enough, but when he asked her, she said she couldn't eat anything, no wonder she was so thin.

The three chickens and the scrambled eggs with tomatoes were all eaten up.

The three of them devoured all the bones that Guo Xiaoxiao had spat out; she couldn't even look directly at the chicken.

Even if it's delicious, you don't have to suck on the chicken bones, especially since she'd already gnawed on them and spat them out.

It's so eye-watering!

………

The kings who stubbornly defended the beast city ultimately had to grit their teeth and fight on in the face of cruel reality.
