Mickson pressed Guo Xiaoxiao back onto the animal skin mat.
"It's alright, you go to sleep, I'll go check on things."
Arthur got up and followed Miksen, while Cang Jue stayed behind to guard Guo Xiaoxiao.
Cang Jue gently patted Guo Xiaoxiao's back to comfort her.
"Go to sleep."
Guo Xiaoxiao couldn't sleep after the two disappeared into the cave; she was very worried about them.
"Eagle King sounds formidable; what if they can't defeat him?"
Cang Jue patted her head to comfort her.
"Don't think about it anymore, get some sleep."
Tonight was destined to be an unusual night; Guo Xiaoxiao intermittently heard continuous roaring sounds coming from outside.
They really started fighting. Cang Jue tried everything to soothe her and lull her to sleep, but she only became more awake.
The sounds of fighting outside grew louder and louder, mixed with all sorts of other noises, and continued incessantly.
It didn't disappear until dawn, signifying the end of the great battle...
They had taken a shower that morning before returning; they looked exhausted, but had no injuries.
They told Guo Xiaoxiao that everything was alright, that the bad guys had been driven away, but Guo Xiaoxiao knew deep down that the situation was worse than she had imagined.
Not only were there orcs fleeing from the outside world, but even the former kings of the Beast City, whose living space had been squeezed, were fleeing north for their lives.
The situation became out of control.
The Yushan tribe enjoys a superior geographical location; its caves are naturally formed and require no excavation, making it a natural target for the relentless attacks. Without recruiting manpower, it would have been extremely difficult to withstand the continuous assaults.
Guo Xiaoxiao arrived at the cave where the females gathered as usual, and everyone looked troubled.
When things are bad, the females also feel anxious. Although the war doesn't concern them, the involvement of the wandering orcs is troublesome; if they attack, no one can escape.
The fact that everyone was sitting together simply turned into a source of anxiety, but Amansa, with her positive attitude, kept comforting them.
"Don't panic. We have many chieftains and strong warriors in our tribe. We won't be defeated so easily. The fleeing orcs outside pose no threat to us."
Even so, it had no effect.
Guo Xiaoxiao still admired Amansa. While the other females were too scared to leave the cave, Amansa remained completely calm and composed.
When Amansa was captured by Cang Jue, she liked Cang Jue and even mocked him.
No wonder she spoke so strangely; Amansa is a good female, someone I can get along with.
"Guo Xiaoxiao, come out here for a moment."
Kasha called out from outside the cave entrance. Guo Xiaoxiao found Kasha annoying; was she here to cause trouble? She said irritably.
"what"
Kai'Sa remained proud and spoke in a commanding tone.
"I need to talk to you about something. Let's go out and discuss it."
Guo Xiaoxiao snorted coldly and disdainfully.
"Say it here if you have something to say."
Kaisa was momentarily speechless, but then regained her haughty demeanor.
"Come out here, I'll tell you."
I just don't want to talk to you.
The two had never gotten along well. When Kasha came to see Guo Xiaoxiao, Guo Xiaoxiao naturally didn't give her a warm welcome, especially given Kasha's attitude.
She owes her money, and she acts all high and mighty like she owns the place. Who cares?
Kasha snorted and stood motionless outside the cave. Amansa glanced at her and thought Kasha was acting strangely, unable to get along with anyone, like she hadn't grown up.
Aside from being pretty, she's a swearer; you'll never hear a kind word from her.
Kaisa softened her tone and said
"I'll tell you a secret, it's about Arthur, there's something he's been keeping from you."
Upon hearing this, Guo Xiaoxiao glanced at Kaisa, but decided not to blindly trust the woman.
"Don't lie to me. How could I not know if Arthur was in trouble? Are you trying to sow discord between me and Arthur? Let me tell you, not a chance."
Kaisa was so annoyed by Guo Xiaoxiao that she almost vomited blood. Guo Xiaoxiao is so irritating!
"It's true, come out and I'll tell you, come out now."
Why does she insist on staying home? Guo Xiaoxiao refuses to go out; she has absolutely no good feelings towards Kasha. It's better to be wary of her.
"Tell me if you want, I'm not your mother who forces you to. If you don't want to talk, then get lost."
"You—" Kasha gritted her teeth in anger.
Guo Xiaoxiao said without any politeness
"What do you mean 'I'? I'm too lazy to argue with you. If you want to leave, then leave. Don't stay here."
Kasha glared at her, turned, and left. Thinking about how she hadn't completed the mission and wouldn't be able to explain herself, she quietly lurked outside, waiting for her chance.
There was really nothing left to talk about, so the female gathering was over for today. Guo Xiaoxiao got up and went back to her cave.
Kasha followed Guo Xiaoxiao all the way. The males were still outside fighting off the outsiders and didn't have time to accompany her, giving Kasha room to maneuver.
Guo Xiaoxiao walked for a while and then keenly sensed that someone was following her.
Guo Xiaoxiao
Before she could check who it was, Kai'Sa exposed herself, sneaking out from behind.
Upon hearing this, Guo Xiaoxiao turned around.
"You again..."
Before she could finish speaking, Kasha sprinkled some white powder on Guo Xiaoxiao's face.
Guo Xiaoxiao felt dizzy.
"Haha, you're poisoned. Go get some sleep."
Kasha laughed mockingly at Guo Xiaoxiao. Guo Xiaoxiao struggled to stay conscious, slumped on the ground, not yet truly unconscious. She thought Kasha wouldn't go to such lengths just because she didn't like her; she had underestimated her.
Kasha saw that Guo Xiaoxiao was still conscious, her face turned dark, and she slapped her.
The slap was particularly hard; Guo Xiaoxiao's face stung.
Guo Xiaoxiao covered her cheeks and glared angrily at Kasha, unable to utter a single word. Her consciousness was blurred and she drifted out of sight, but Kasha didn't care.
"You're just waiting to die."
Guo Xiaoxiao could no longer hold on and fell into a coma.
Seeing Guo Xiaoxiao unconscious, Kasha finally breathed a sigh of relief. This time, she would definitely not let her live. Kasha carried Guo Xiaoxiao on her back and ran quickly away through the side path.
