Some tried jumping into the river, but still couldn't escape being burned to death. Gasoline is insoluble in water, so it can't be washed off with water and must be cleaned with high-concentration alcohol. When gasoline comes into contact with water, even the small river catches fire.
Other eagle-beasts also set off torches in areas frequented by orcs, roaring as they did so to warn them.
"Run! Run for your lives!"
The orcs were burning and screaming, running around in all directions, many of them pinned to the ground, unable to move.
They tried to escape, but the fire spread too quickly; people kept falling and burning to death.
The manner of the death was gruesome and unbearable to look at.
Guo Xiaoxiao covered her mouth, unable to bear the horrific scene. Lin Zhi was the same; she couldn't bear to look. She was a ruthless character, but this was the first time she'd killed so many people at once.
…
Only Carlos calmly watched the fire rage. So that's how it was; the water he poured on had caught fire and couldn't be extinguished.
One of the orcs was also affected, and Carlos quickly moved away from him; the orc was also doused with gasoline.
skin burned
"Ah—" A piercing scream shattered the clouds, unusually jarring in the bustling night.
He struggled to grab Carlos, but Carlos didn't come near him and shrank back.
The orc fell to the ground, his body ablaze, and after crawling a few steps, he lay on the ground struggling in agony.
Even the leaves on the ground were on fire.
With a crackling sound, the leaves dried and smoked, and the flames quickly devoured everything.
Carlos stood there watching the disaster unfold, unresponsive. Fire raged both in front and behind him; he had no tolerance for flames and couldn't escape.
…
Ji Xing and his group broke through the gap, but were still blocked by the remaining troops. Without Carlos joining them, the orcs seemed powerless to attack them.
With Ji Xing, Will, and Randy all assembled, they were more than capable of wiping out a group of rogue beasts.
One by one, the stray beasts charged towards them, enraged by the sight of so many of their brethren being burned alive.
I wish I could drink their blood, eat their flesh, drink their blood...
The three main forces combined their strength to sweep away the enemy with overwhelming force.
Qianye got off Jixing and took the gasoline that Jixing was carrying off his back, holding it in his hand as well.
"If you dare come any closer, we'll burn you alive!"
Qianye spoke to the remaining stray beasts.
They all retreated to the side in fear, looking at him with dread. No one wanted to confront Qianye; they had all witnessed his formidable power.
They weren't afraid of death, but they were still quite fearful of a fate worse than death.
Randy was the one who felt the worst; the smell was too strong, and he felt like vomiting.
Ji Xing looked at him and said, "I'll cover you, you run first."
Randy shook his head, indicating that he was fine and that he had to step up at this crucial moment.
Qianye threw the gasoline at his feet, still warning, "If you dare come any closer, don't blame me for being impolite."
He was capable of defeating these wandering orcs, but having found the easiest way, he simply chose not to fight.
Will: "Kill them quickly, the fire is coming!"
There's no time to waste; we have to finish them off now, or we'll all perish together if we get caught in the fire.
Ji Xing and Will exchanged a glance and charged forward. Their target was the wandering wolf beast; if they could take it down, they could escape.
Kyle, the young leader of the wandering wolf beasts, was in charge. He had always followed Arak and was exceptionally intelligent. No matter how Ji Xing and his group attacked, he refused to engage them in direct combat, choosing to defend rather than attack.
They were forced to surround them here, which forced them to disperse and weakened their fighting strength.
Ji Xing and Will teamed up to deal with Kyle, while Randy and Qianye handled the other stray beasts. Qianye intervened when things got bad, also taking care of some of the beastmen.
Ji Xing watched for a while and then understood: Kyle was stalling for time to wait for reinforcements; he didn't want to confront them head-on.
Heh, you underestimated him. Ji Xing unleashed his full power, the pressure of the Reverse Star Ring overwhelming them. Ji Xing had been fighting for a day and a night and was exhausted, having forcibly released immense physical stress.
Kyle felt as if he were in an ice cellar, shivering with cold. He raised his arm, trying to resist the oppressive force, but found that he couldn't move it, and it was becoming increasingly heavy.
With his special abilities activated, Kyle finally panicked. He wasn't stupid; he knew he'd met his match, and it was too late to retreat.
Ji Xing didn't want to play along with him anymore, so he used his teleportation skill to appear beside him. His tiger claws crushed Kyle's shoulder, and Kyle screamed as he collapsed to the ground, barely alive.
Ji Xing bit down on his neck and ripped it off, tearing Kyle's head off. Blood gushed out, splattering all over Ji Xing's face.
"Pooh"
Ji Xing shook the blood off his head, kicked Kyle's corpse over, and tossed the head to Qianye.
"It's yours."
Qianye remained silent, offering himself up as a sacrifice? Was he disgusted by him?
He glanced at the severed head on the ground, then at Ji Xing covered in blood, and decided to let it go.
…
On the other side, Guo Xiaoxiao was still circling in the air, while Yan Fei and his several eagle beasts were still confronting the wandering eagle beasts. Below was a sea of fire, making it impossible to go down; they could only fly to a distance.
But once entangled, it's not easy to escape.
The fire engulfed the entire forest, billowing thick smoke and black fumes, and destroying the trees.
In just one hour, the forest was completely barren.
The stray animals fled for their lives, having no idea where to go, and could only wait to be burned.
This vantage point offers a perfect view of Carlos standing amidst the flames.
Guo Xiaoxiao glanced down casually, and her eyes immediately widened.
The flames glowed crimson. Carlos stood atop a rock, his posture upright. Though he was clearly burning to death, he showed no sign of pain. He gazed ahead, his expression cold yet resolute.
Carlos looked up and saw her too, a smile on his handsome face, as if he had seen something that made him happy.
