Sam was nearly dead, and she just stood by and did nothing. She still had a healing spell; if she went with Mikkelsen and couldn't heal him, she'd be exposed.

Miksen reluctantly transformed into his beast form, carrying Samto on his back; the back was just big enough for both him and the beast to sit on.
Sam was delirious and his eyes were unfocused. He smelled Guo Xiaoxiao's fragrance and felt a warmth in his heart. At least he had died protecting a woman he liked; he had no regrets.
“Sam…”
Guo Xiaoxiao placed her hand on Sam and felt his breathing become very weak.
Sam struggled to open his eyes, seemingly knowing he was about to give up; he wanted to remember Guo Xiaoxiao's face.

"Sleep a little longer, they'll be here soon."
Guo Xiaoxiao gently patted Sam's back. He couldn't hold on any longer; dark red blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, and he drifted off into a deep sleep.
Mickson carried them at a fast pace, and soon they arrived at Monet's Cave. The commotion had already alerted many orcs.
Everyone was standing on the perimeter, anxious and confused, not understanding what had happened.
"Monet, Monet"
Mickelson called out a few times, and Monet came out. He lifted the curtain, revealing a pair of golden eyes, and paused for a moment upon seeing them.
"What's wrong? What's going on?"
"Sam is injured, get him treated quickly!"
Mickelson and Guo Xiaoxiao went straight in and placed Sam on the leather mat. Monet immediately realized that Sam had been attacked.
Without asking any further questions, he quickly checked Sam's injuries.
Monet's expression turned serious when he saw the large mark on his chest.

Guo Xiaoxiao gripped Sam's hand helplessly, her beautiful almond-shaped eyes brimming with tears, looking utterly pitiful.

"Xiaoxiao, take care of Sam first. The chieftain and I will go into the forest to find some herbs."

Mikkelsen and Monet hurried out, but Monet, with his extensive knowledge, had to be taken along; he could recognize the healing herbs.
Guo Xiaoxiao found a fur handkerchief in a small ditch. Holding the handkerchief, she carefully wiped the dirt and dust off Sam's body. Looking at his weak and pale face, her heart ached terribly.

Orcs surrounded the cave. The female orcs, who generally disliked meddling in other people's business, were even more afraid to come out after hearing that strange orcs had arrived at the tribe.
The orcs knew that Sam and Guo Xiaoxiao were together, but because they were injured, they were still quite reserved and didn't barge in.

Guo Xiaoxiao coughed up blood and panicked.
"Sam, are you alright? Don't scare me!"

Mickelson said he didn't like Guo Xiaoxiao getting too close to Sam, but seeing Sam unconscious, he had to consider his health.

Having used a healing spell, Guo Xiaoxiao figured her life was no longer in danger. She left the cave and went to the center of the orcs. Mikel was there too, giving her a look to calm her down.
The two stood side by side, tacitly in sync.
Feeling a little thirsty, Guo Xiaoxiao relaxed and started to feel sleepy. Her mouth became dry, and she wanted to drink water. She said blankly...

A male beast handed her a gourd of water, and Guo Xiaoxiao didn't stand on ceremony. She hugged the gourd, tilted her head back, and drank it down.
The cool water soothed Guo Xiaoxiao considerably. Mikel, intentionally or unintentionally, dispersed the orcs, not wanting them to get too close.
Inside the cave, Monet found it strange that Sam's injuries had healed considerably, and the scar on his chest had faded.
