Randy didn't linger. Without further ado, he needed to find someone to try his luck with. Who could he ask? He ran back to the White Stone tribe and found Ian.
Ian was back in his tent, sharpening his knives—his only pastime in life—frantically crafting bone knives.
Bone knives come in various shapes; the ones he invented include conical, serrated, and long and short daggers.
Seeing Randy was quite unexpected; he thought Guo Xiaoxiao had something to do. Randy told him the purpose of his visit.
Upon hearing Randy mention skill nullification, Ian recalled that when they entered, they sealed their beast-transformation abilities, but the tree attack caused Randy to transform into a wolf-like beast that flashed past him.
He was wondering, how come some fish slipped through the net and weren't caught?
If it's an ineffectiveness, then it makes sense. Ian put down what he was doing, stood up, and activated the inherited skill.
His pupils changed color as he unleashed his power, and Randy stood on the opposite side, enduring the attack.
But as time passed, Randy felt nothing and could still transform into his beast form.
"Nullified?" Ian looked at Randy with disappointment. His pride and joy had been rendered useless by Randy.
Ian refused to believe it and tried again, but the result was the same.
Randy was overjoyed. It was his special skill; no one would ever say he was too young again.
Ignoring Ian's frustration, Randy rushed back to the tent where Guo Xiaoxiao was.
Everyone was eating around the fire when Guo Xiaoxiao excitedly entered and said...
"Where did you go? I've looked for you everywhere and couldn't find you. Come sit down and eat!"
Randy: "I know my special ability now!"
Everyone turned their attention to Randy.
Arthur: "What is it??"
Randy rarely smiled: "Skill Nullification"
Haha, he was right. Carlos put down the piece of meat.
"See? I noticed it last time." Then...
"There's nothing to be happy about; it can only counter Ian's abilities, it's not a powerful skill."
