Chapter 3: I encountered a burly orc and got picked up by him, haha.

In her surroundings, Guo Xiaoxiao couldn't sleep at all. She kept playing on her phone until it ran out of battery, and finally, she was so tired that she curled up in a corner and fell asleep in a daze.

The next day, Guo Xiaoxiao was awakened by the sharp chirping of birds. She caught the dew left on the cave wall outside the cave and washed up.

To get the mission off to a good start, Guo Xiaoxiao put in all her effort, determined to earn the system reward through her own hard work. The healing technique sounded amazing, instantly opening up a fantasy chapter.

Come on, let's meet the challenge! Guo Xiaoxiao changed into light and easy-to-move clothes. The temperature difference between day and night here is huge. The ultraviolet rays are strong and very hot in the sunlit areas, while the shade is extremely cold.

She laid her luggage flat in a sunless spot in the cave, took out a fruit knife for self-defense, ate the last piece of bread, and set off to find food.

Surprisingly, the road here was easy to walk on after it dried out. It didn't have the appearance of overlapping peaks and winding mountain roads. It had become a flat road because many people had passed by.

After walking for half an hour, Guo Xiaoxiao finally saw the first living creature she had encountered: a rabbit, or maybe a rabbit.

A giant rabbit, it looks about a meter long. Except for its red ears, snow-white body, and enormous size, it looks exactly like a rabbit.

The giant rabbit was curled up on the ground, happily munching on a purple fruit, when the system immediately issued a notification.

"Host, why don't you find some fruit or something to complete the task? This rabbit is vastly different from the rabbits in your world; you can't beat it. I'll give you some extra scent to mask your strength. It's almost over; you'd better leave quickly."

No wonder no wild beasts have bothered me since yesterday, Guo Xiaoxiao thought to herself, swallowing hard.

"I know even if you don't tell me, I'm not going to make things difficult for myself."

Guo Xiaoxiao left quietly before the big rabbit noticed her.

"Since you're idle anyway, here's an extra task for you: stay away from any beastman in the Beast World for three days, and you'll directly obtain the skill, Lion King's Heart. Do you accept?"

"It doesn't matter, just answer it, why wouldn't you answer?"

Compared to finding food, this task was far too easy. Where could one find contact with orcs in the wilderness? Guo Xiaoxiao wandered aimlessly through the forest, using the scent concealment provided by the system, and basically made her way through without any obstacles.

However, the primeval forest was vast, and the tiny humans, new to it and completely unfamiliar with the terrain, quickly lost their way after just a few turns.

Sigh, life is so hard, Guo Xiaoxiao is exhausted.

"It smells so good!"

The fruit's sweetness wasn't from apples, but more like peaches. Guo Xiaoxiao was truly hungry, and the unusual fruity aroma immediately caught her eye. She eagerly followed the scent, completely forgetting the dangers of the world around her; after all, her current predicament was merely wandering in the wild without finding food.

Following the scent closer, Guo Xiaoxiao heard the voices of several people talking.

"What a fruitful day!"

Someone's there! Guo Xiaoxiao stopped and hid behind a towering tree, peeking out her little head and holding her breath to quietly observe.

Several men, covered in blood, were wiping themselves with animal hides. To be precise, they were several naked men, their genitals clearly visible. One or two were exceptionally handsome, with well-defined muscles, but the mud and blood covering them was chilling. Their eyes were unlike those of normal people, filled with the wildness of beasts.

Then the fruity scent disappeared, replaced by a pungent, nauseating smell of blood. Guo Xiaoxiao quickly covered her mouth and nose and hid behind a large tree.

This is a legendary orc. He's handsome, but his physique and posture are overwhelming.

When Guo Xiaoxiao first arrived, she imagined being picked up and worshipped by an orc. But after observing them up close, she finally understood why the female protagonists in novels would run away in fear at the sight of orcs.

Whether it's their physique, their bloodthirsty aura, or the visual impact of being naked, any one of them is enough to inspire fear.

Forget it, let's leave since they haven't found us yet. I remember reading about beastmen in novels, and they often described a kind of ferocious beastman, a wandering beast. They're probably like that—covered in blood, they don't look like good people.

"All done cleaning. We've tied up the game and carried it back. That's enough for today; we don't need to go hunting this afternoon."

A very authoritative voice rang out, deep and with the unique magnetism of a male voice.

"Warning: Odor masking, will disappear in 5 minutes."

"Are you messing with me? What kind of lousy system is this?" Guo Xiaoxiao was about to escape when she suddenly noticed a half-rotten fruit not far from her. It looked like a pear but was bright red.

"Let's go, we need to take the fresh tail-tail fruit back."

Guo Xiaoxiao remained motionless in place until the orcs had left carrying their prey bundled in vines. Only then did she cautiously run out, pick up the smashed fruit, and hold it in her palm.

"Ding, mission complete. Host has acquired the skill: Basic Healing Spell."

Wow, the cheat code may be late, but it'll never disappear! Guo Xiaoxiao's body was surrounded by a ball of green light, and a peculiar magic circle appeared beneath her feet. A second later, it was absorbed into Guo Xiaoxiao's body.

"User Guide: To cast a spell, simply raise one hand and say the words 'Healing Spell.' The skill has a 15-minute cooldown."

Finally, something went smoothly; the system wasn't so bad after all. Just as Guo Xiaoxiao was happily hugging the rotten fruit, the sun that had been shining in front of her suddenly dimmed.

A colossal object suddenly stood before Guo Xiaoxiao, blocking her view. Guo Xiaoxiao sensed something was wrong, looked up, and saw the fruit in her hand slip from her grasp and fall to the ground.

Similarly, the man was stunned by Guo Xiaoxiao. His finely arched eyebrows shone with an incredulous light, his nose was as straight as a distant, dark mountain, and his thin, pale lips were slightly parted, revealing a look of surprise. So beautiful, such a sweet fragrance, the same scent he'd smelled yesterday.
