Guo Xiaoxiao stared intently at the woman called "female," her eyes sparkling. "She's amazing!"
"Berlie, is something the matter?"
The hyenas were quite wary of her and kept retreating.
Beryl leaped off the bear-like beast and walked toward Cang Jue, her eyes filled with fervor. He was the male she loved; he was so handsome!
Cang Jue sensed her malicious gaze, and strangely enough, looked at her warily.
Beryl approached Cang Jue, put her right arm around his shoulder, and said generously.
"Cang Jue, we meet again. This time, you must become my partner?"
Cang Jue pushed her hand away with disdain and said unhappily.
"Don't touch me, I already have a partner."
Wait, you call him Cang Jue?? They knew each other. Cang Jue carefully examined her face; it was rugged and bold, with fairly regular features, but her physique was too muscular to be female. He couldn't recall any female like her. Cang Jue asked...
Who are you?
Beryl narrowed her eyes; her dark face held a fierce edge.
"I'm Beryl. We met when we fled north, don't you remember?"
Guo Xiaoxiao looked at the two of them, puzzled. Something was wrong.
Cang Jue thought for a long time but couldn't recall it, and shook his head in confusion.
Beryl stared at him, her anger rising rapidly.
"You don't remember me? Then let's get to know each other again. I'm Beryl. We've met before. When the wandering beasts attacked the ancient continent, you saved our tribe's orcs. I was willing to let you be my male. You clearly agreed, but then you suddenly disappeared, making me search for you for so long."
What?! He cheated on me?! Guo Xiaoxiao stared wide-eyed at Cang Jue in disbelief.
"Azure Desolation!!"
Cang Jue was completely bewildered. What the hell? When did he save this female tribe of orcs? He had absolutely no recollection of it, but upon reflection, the strong female seemed vaguely familiar.
Cang Jue coughed awkwardly, holding Guo Xiaoxiao's hand with one hand and pointing at her with one finger, saying...
"She's my partner, we're already married, so I can't just say things like that. I've never agreed to be anyone's partner."
Being misunderstood by Xiaoxiao would be a huge offense.
"Is she your female?"
Cang Jue nodded: "Of course."
Beryl turned and walked to the side, angrily crossing her arms and glaring at Guo Xiaoxiao, who glared back defiantly.
