"It's terrifying. Just imagine, parasites crawling around near your heart, eventually spreading throughout your body. They reproduce incredibly fast, constantly sucking your blood, and might even cause you to lose control and do something bizarre."
Arlo's character immediately became much more vivid, and Randy believed it; Arlo's expressions were too exaggerated.
Randy obediently lay down, allowing the two men, just to be on the safe side, to examine his body while wearing animal skin gloves.
They carefully examined Randy's chest cavity, abdominal cavity, under his eyelids, and between his legs, but found no trace of parasites.
Only after Randy proved to be uninfected did the two feel relieved and dare to speak to him face-to-face.
Monet laughed
"Luckily you weren't infected, otherwise you would be finished. Thank the Beast God for protecting you."
"Uh-huh"
Randy nodded, then asked...
"He's a living, breathing orc who isn't quite dead yet. His brother doesn't want to watch him be burned to death. Is there any other way? Please tell me."
The dangers of parasites were something their generation had never experienced before; Monet and Arlo had fled with their parents when they were young.
The horrific scene still sends chills down their spines when they recall it; the animal carcasses were covered in swarms of insects, forcing them to constantly migrate to avoid them.
Monet fell silent. Alo patted him on the shoulder and sighed helplessly.
"There's no other way, let's feed him some scorpion venom and make his death quicker."
Alo shook his head.
"Parasites are very peculiar creatures. They reproduce extremely quickly, multiplying at a rate visible to the naked eye. Generally, if only one parasite survives, it will spread. Moreover, it's not just one or a few, but a swarm. A single parasite poses a relatively small threat and can be ignored, but a swarm gathered together is terrifying. Therefore, it must be eliminated."
After a pause, Alo said
"If you really don't want him to be burned to death, take him to a faraway place and let him fend for himself. Remember, it has to be very, very far, across the continent."
