Chapter 4: Taken Back to the Tribe

"It's just a little scratch, it's nothing. Just call me Guo Xiaoxiao, it feels weird to call me 'female'."

In Mikkelsen's memory, females were extremely fragile; they couldn't be cold, they couldn't be hot, and they absolutely couldn't be injured, otherwise they would easily die.

"Then, Xiaoxiao, let me see."

Mickelson lifted Guo Xiaoxiao's sleeve, revealing a small scrape on her flawless white arm. The injury wasn't serious, but the bloodstain on Guo Xiaoxiao's skin was particularly jarring.

Mickelson stared at Guo Xiaoxiao's arm and swallowed hard, wishing he could possess this female right now.

Meeting that overly eager gaze, Guo Xiaoxiao withdrew her hand and pulled down her sleeve. "Maybe I should put the animal skin back on; it'll be safer if I'm wrapped up properly."

Mickelson touched his nose, thinking Guo Xiaoxiao was shy.

"I'll go get some herbs and firewood. Sit down for a bit, and I'll roast some meat for you when I get back."

Miksen rarely eats roasted meat. He only roasts and shares it with other orcs in front of the fire during the tribe's rainy season fire festival. He usually eats raw meat. Now that he has a female, whose teeth are not as sharp as males', males with females will share their roasted meat with their own family.

Guo Xiaoxiao sat on the hay mat, listlessly daydreaming, her head drooping. She was contemplating the days ahead. Lazily living was not in her nature; she needed to find a way back to her original world. She hadn't finished her manuscript yet. Was there a time difference between the beast world and her own? Would it interfere with her attendance record?

"Xiaoxiao, I'm back."

With a large bundle of firewood in his left hand and some grass-like plants in his right, Mickson sniffed the air and was relieved to find no other orcs.

"So fast, did it fly?"

Guo Xiaoxiao yawned, feeling a little tired.

After setting down the firewood, Mickson knelt on one knee in front of Guo Xiaoxiao, chewed the herbs in his mouth for a while, and Guo Xiaoxiao understood what he meant and consciously rolled up her sleeves so that Mickson could cover the herbs on her.

Mickelson moved gently, carefully applying the herbs little by little. His reluctance to cause Guo Xiaoxiao pain made her lower her guard.

He didn't seem to have any ill intentions towards me; he was actually quite nice. Upon closer inspection, he was an incredibly handsome man. His smooth, voluminous blond hair perfectly framed his striking face. If you met a man like that in modern times, he'd have a ton of women vying for your attention. He was always so arrogant and aloof.

After treating Guo Xiaoxiao's wound, Mickson nodded, confirming it wasn't serious. Then, he smiled, revealing two adorable canine teeth, and said...

"Your wound isn't a problem, so let's mate tonight."
