Cang Jue's lips curled into a mocking smile, his indifferent tone disgusting the orcs.
"You bastard, I'll skin you alive today!"
With a furious roar, Mikson took off running towards Cang Jue, one arm swinging as he pounced on Cang Jue like a tiger, the other hand clenched into a claw and aimed for Cang Jue's neck.
A battle between a tiger and an eagle
"Bang!"
The two collided, and both involuntarily staggered backward.
Cang Jue's cold gaze swept over Mickson, who refused to back down. The two stared at each other, ready to clash at any moment.
Mikel and the others, fearing Mikeson would be at a disadvantage, leaped up to attack Cang Jue. Cang Jue coldly snorted, transformed into an eagle, spread his wings, and met them head-on. After a brief struggle, he ascended into the sky.
The beast-like tigers couldn't hook him from the ground and were helpless, so they could only howl at Cang Jue.
The commotion was so loud that it startled many orcs. The male beasts heard it and all came over. Upon seeing Cang Jue, they didn't even ask him a question but took a defensive stance.
Cang Jue utterly disdainful, completely disregarding it. He spread his wings, unleashing a gust of wind that whipped up a cloud of sand, swirling it across the sky and blinding the orcs.
"Micken, I challenge you to a duel!"
The sound reverberated throughout the entire stadium.
They were already mortal enemies.
"A duel? I'm ready!"
Miksen roared at the orc in the air.
He was just looking for an opportunity to kill him to vent his anger, but unexpectedly, Cang Jue delivered himself to his doorstep. He still didn't forget to ask...
"What did you do to my female?"
"Don't worry, she's perfectly fine!"
Cang Jue, disdainful, said no more and flew even faster, instantly reaching above Mikexon's head. He then transformed into human form and stood before Mikexon.
The orcs charged forward to prepare for an attack, but Miksen blocked them with both hands.
"Stop right there!"
Yes, everyone reluctantly stopped, but remained vigilant.
Cang Jue stretched out his palm, and a bright orb of golden-blue light appeared in his palm. The totem on his chest appeared, shimmering with an eerie blue light, intimidating the other orcs.
"I've said I'd duel you, but not now."
Miksen squinted, not surprised to see the blue ball in his palm; Cang Jue was a beastman by lineage, and the blue ball was his inherent ability.
A cruel, bloodthirsty smile curled at the corner of Cang Jue's lips. He gathered immense power in the blue ball and slammed it down.
Mickelson reacted quickly, dodging to the side without fear.
"Boom!"
A tree as thick as a bowl exploded instantly. Cang Jue showed no killing intent and slowly exhaled...
"Guo Xiaoxiao said..."
"Don't mention her name."
Miklin impatiently stopped him; the mere mention of Guo Xiaoxiao's name by Cang Jue was an insult to females.
Cang Jue spoke slowly
"She said she likes strong males, and whoever wins will gain the right to mate. So I'm here today to tell you that the duel will take place in front of the Mingbei Stele in three days. How about it?"
It's perfectly normal for males to fight over females, but for two leaders from different tribes to fight over a single female is truly unprecedented.
The Mingbei is a place similar to an ancient gladiatorial arena, a venue for serious duels between males. However, most males simply train on the spot, and the name Mingbei hasn't been heard for a long time.
"Hehehe, Mingbei, I promise you."
Miksen laughed, a truly hearty laugh. Mingbei—he could finally take Cangjue's life himself, using orc tradition, and even, in front of Guo Xiaoxiao, prove himself.
"See the Mingbei in three days."
After uttering those words, Cang Jue soared into the sky and departed.
Miklin watched Cang Jue's departing figure but didn't chase after him.
"Father Beast, what does 'Mingbei' mean?"
The young beast beside him asked in confusion.
"The Mingbei... is a huge stone tablet, engraved with various animal-shaped patterns. Each pattern represents a male, and each victor leaves their mark on it."
This monument has existed deep within the jungle for over a hundred years, and no beast has ever been able to break it. Its hardness is extraordinary, and it holds great significance in the eyes of the mighty beasts of the beast world.
Cang Jue flew back to the wooden house. Guo Xiaoxiao, wrapped in animal skin, was half-asleep and watched as Cang Jue casually wiped her body with the animal skin.
"where have you been?"
Guo Xiaoxiao muttered
"He's gone to find Mickelson. Go to sleep."
"oh"
Guo Xiaoxiao closed her eyes and continued sleeping, then... she sat up with a thud.
"Why didn't you tell me you were going to see Mickelson?"
Cang Jue didn't think it necessary to report this to Guo Xiaoxiao, saying
"Don't worry, you'll see him in a few days. I'll defeat him in front of you and we'll officially become partners."
His tone was very certain; he truly possessed the ability and confidence.
Guo Xiaoxiao remained silent for a moment, filled with worry, fearing that Mikesen and Cang Jue might get hurt. She said...
"Do you really want to duel?"
Cang Jue dried himself off, removing the tiger clan's aura, then stepped forward and ruffled Guo Xiaoxiao's soft, long black hair, his teasing expression fading.
I will prove that I am worthy of you.
His eyes were deep and earnest, making it impossible for anyone to refuse.
Guo Xiaoxiao bit her lip, looked away, and started writing eom.
Cang Jue rolled over and lay down on Guo Xiaoxiao's bed. He didn't try to take advantage of her; he was quite obedient. He decided that after the female saw his strength, she would give herself to him completely.
Guo Xiaoxiao tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep, her mind filled with images of two people fighting brutally.
She...regretted it...
What if one of them dies? Wouldn't she become the legendary femme fatale? Should she just run back and check? But the mountains are high and the roads are far; she can't go back.
Guo Xiaoxiao became increasingly conflicted, tossing and turning unable to sleep. Finally, she got up, carried Cang Jue on her back, and secretly slipped out of the wooden house, heading to the tree trunk.
She leaned against the tree trunk, looking down at a towering tree high above the ground, its dense foliage obscuring her view.
