Guo Xiaoxiao: "Arthur, do we still have the antidote for scorpion venom? I desperately need it."
Arthur was shocked: "You've been poisoned? What do you need the scorpion venom antidote for? Don't scare me!"
Carlos, startled by Arthur's mutterings, grabbed Randy and held him in front of Arthur, whispering in his ear...
"Who's been poisoned, Xiaoxiao? Explain yourself."
Arthur didn't have time to pay attention to Carlos before he heard what Guo Xiaoxiao was saying.
"No, the situation is complicated. I'll explain when you get back. Is there any antidote for scorpion venom? Tell me quickly so I can go find it, otherwise people will die."
Seeing that the three people lying on the ground were barely breathing, and knowing that if Arthur continued to hold them off, it would be too late to save them, Arthur, though unsure who had been poisoned, still told Guo Xiaoxiao where the antidote was.
"I gave each veterinarian a dose of the antidote; they should be able to find it in their rooms. It's a pure green powder that smells a bit foul."
Guo Xiaoxiao: "I have to go find the antidote now. Be careful."
Standing in this vast grotto corridor, each room unique, Guo Xiaoxiao was utterly bewildered. She had no idea where the veterinarian's room was.
They rarely communicated, and with the help of the healing water, Guo Xiaoxiao hadn't bothered to improve her medical skills, so she didn't know where they were.
Irina said she was going to Monet's room to get some herbs to help, but she's been there for ages and hasn't seen a soul in sight.
"Are they still searching the room?" Guo Xiaoxiao shouted towards the cave.
"Irina, where are you?"
Irina emerged from a doorway carrying a pile of herbs, standing directly opposite Guo Xiaoxiao. The grotto was circular, making it easy to identify.
"What are you holding? They've all been poisoned by scorpion venom; I need to find the antidote."
Irina held only herbs for treating external injuries, but no antidotes. She glanced at the herbs in her hand, then looked at Guo Xiaoxiao.
"Oh, I recognize it. Wait a moment, I'll get the powder. Just stand there and don't move."
Guo Xiaoxiao had no choice but to wait where she was, but she waited and waited and still didn't see Irina.
Did Irina go the wrong way?
Guo Xiaoxiao called out a few more times.
"Irina, what are you doing?"
Still receiving no answer, Guo Xiaoxiao decided to go to where Irina had just gone. Turning the corner, she found Irina lying unconscious on the ground, clutching a pile of herbs and a small animal skin bag.
Guo Xiaoxiao quickly helped Irina up.
"Oh my god, Irina, wake up! What happened? Are you hurt too?"
"What...what's wrong with me?"
Irina gradually woke up, as if she were asleep. Guo Xiaoxiao was terrified when she first woke up, thinking Irina had also been poisoned.
"I was just about to ask you what happened? Did you faint here? Are you feeling unwell?"
Irina shook her head and quickly got up from the ground.
"I brought the antidote for scorpion venom. Let's go quickly. I sometimes faint suddenly, but it's probably due to my constitution and it's nothing to worry about. I'm taking medicine regularly to nourish myself."
Could it be the legendary hypoglycemia? Hypoglycemia can sometimes cause fainting, which is very similar to Irina's symptoms. Guo Xiaoxiao didn't have time to investigate further and ran to Kasha's room to feed the green powder to Diva and the other two.
He visibly regained his senses, and his pale face turned rosy; the antidote must be working.
Diva and the two females were quite heavy; even combined, Guo Xiaoxiao couldn't budge them after trying for a long time. Irina's strength was also pitifully small.
Amansa and Linda had to drag him out to a nearby room, a male's quarters, belonging to a bachelor. It was a little messy, but since he was alone, they didn't pay much attention.
Irina dragged Guo Xiaoxiao aside, as if admitting her mistake.
"Xiaoxiao, I have something to tell you. It seems like this was my fault. Should I go and apologize to Daiwa and the others?"
“You didn’t poison them, so why are you apologizing? You were eating fruit with us when they were poisoned,” Guo Xiaoxiao said.
However, that wasn't what Irina meant. While she didn't give the poison directly to Kai'Sa, she gave it to Batul.
“Kasha lost her hands and feet for making a mistake. Her partner felt she wouldn't be able to protect her in an emergency, so he asked me for some scorpion venom as a defense. Instead, Kasha poisoned all three of them. Do you think I'll be blamed later?” Irina said, her tone calm and serious, yet filled with inner anxiety.
It's alright, Guo Xiaoxiao thought. It wasn't Irina's fault. She gave her the scorpion venom not to harm anyone, but simply to protect herself.
"No, we're all reasonable people. If someone slanders you, just tell the truth."
Irina: "Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, but I'm afraid the females won't forgive me, especially Diva. I offended her yesterday over something trivial, and I'm worried she'll think I'm targeting her."
Irina was overthinking things. She didn't even commit indirect murder, and besides, she didn't send Diva to cause trouble for Kasha; Diva herself led her people there.
Irina was still talking about going up to take a look, which was clearly unrelated to her.
"No, no, don't worry. It's all over now. Let them rest well. We'll go down and wait for the male to return."
Arthur chased the people away, along with the stray beasts. Ling Feng discovered the secret of their gourd, but could only obtain one bottle.
Faced with such a powerful attack, they were utterly powerless. Although giving up this territory was extremely difficult, they had no choice but to look elsewhere.
Arthur secretly suspected that the battle was not over.
