Chapter 1: Orc Tribe

Chapter 1 Beastman Tribe

At the turn of summer and autumn, the entire Q Province was plunged into rain and gloom.

The rain lasted for half a month, the water in the river rose, the soil on the mountain became loose, and the local news reported several landslides.

The weather was bad, and people went out less. Jian Mo's pet hospital business was so quiet recently that he could hardly pay the rent.

He opened the door early in the morning and started to clean up.

When he entered the small warehouse, he found that the cat food was bitten by rats.

It was really a double whammy.

Jian Mo stood there and sighed, then bent down to pack up the bitten cat food.

It started to rain outside, and the wind blew the raindrops diagonally into the door. He stood up to close the door.

He looked out through the glass door. The sky was gloomy and the streets were empty.

Judging from the weather, there shouldn't be any business coming to the store.

Jian Mo hesitated for a moment, put on his coat, picked up cat food and canned food, and planned to bring back the stray cat he had set his eyes on.

The rat infestation in the store was getting worse and worse, and it couldn't be delayed any longer.

There were stray cats in the park behind the mountain, and he had already picked one.

After packing up, he closed the store, hung a sign with a phone number outside, and walked out holding an umbrella.

He wrapped his coat tightly against the autumn wind and walked towards the back mountain.

The rain washed the steps of the mountain park clean, and the mountain was shrouded in mist, and the rolling mountains were a dull blue-gray.

There were no pedestrians or animals on the road, only endless desolation.

Jian Mo didn't see the kitten along the way, so he had to walk up the stairs.

It was raining and the road was slippery, so he held on to the stairs carefully, and occasionally had to pull the grass on the road.

Just after passing the steepest section, his vision suddenly became darker.

He subconsciously looked up and suddenly found that the trees seemed taller, and the bushes and grass were denser.

He was stunned for a moment and turned his head to look back.

The fog around was thick, but the park trail could be vaguely seen.

Maybe because it was raining and he hadn't been here for a few days, so he felt that the scenery around him was a little different.

Jian Mo stood there for a few seconds and continued to walk forward.

Until he walked under a big tree and saw that the ground under the tree was relatively dry, he opened the can of food he brought with him, intending to lure the stray cats out.

The sky gradually darkened, and Jian Mo waited there. After waiting for a long time, there were no kittens.

He looked around and pinched his throat to imitate the cat's call twice: "Meow——"

He had used this trick before when he caught stray cats for sterilization, and it worked well.

The sound of meowing echoed in the woods. Jian Mo felt that the sound was a little strange, as if it was different from the sound of his usual cat meowing.

He looked around with a little suspicion, his heart was uneasy, and he always felt that something was going to happen.

His mobile phone was running out of battery, probably because of the rain, and there was no signal.

Or should he go back?

Just when Jian Mo was about to pack up and leave, a tender and hoarse cat cry came from behind him: "Meow."

It was the cry of a kitten.

He turned around and saw a little gray cat with ruffled fur standing under a tree not far away.

The little gray cat looked a bit like Maine, very big, but looked a little timid. It squatted there and didn't dare to come over.

After seeing a living thing, Jian Mo breathed a sigh of relief.

There was obviously nothing wrong, why are you so suspicious?

"Meow, come here. Meow--" Jian Mo waved at the kitten, pointing to the cans in front, "There are cans."

The kitten stood up, hesitated in place, took two steps forward, raised its right front paw in the air, and wanted to come over but didn't dare.

It seems that it is still a cautious kitten.

Jian Mo took two steps back to give the kitten the space in front of the can.

The can had been opened and was no longer fresh, so it would be great if the kitten could eat it.

The kitten looked at him, then at the can, its nose twitching, and it stepped over tentatively.

It walked very slowly, ready to run away at any time.

Jian Mo took two more steps back to give the kitten a long enough distance.

The kitten then moved all four paws together, ran over, walked around the can, looked at Jian Mo, sniffed the can, and then lowered its head to take a bite.

After tasting the taste, its eyes lit up, and it buried its entire little head in the can and ate it in big mouthfuls, making a gurgling sound in its throat.

Not only the snoring sound, but also its sparkling eyes showed that it was very happy.

Jian Mo looked at the kitten and approached it tentatively.

The kitten did not run away, but moved aside.

Jian Mo squatted down and touched the kitten's round little head.

The kitten tilted its head and put its head into Jian Mo's hand, pressing it against his palm.

The kitten's body temperature is quite high, and its long fur is very soft, feeling first-rate to the touch.

Jian Mo smiled, stretched out two fingers and gently pinched its chin, then lowered his head and asked it, "You don't dislike me, do you?"

The kitten lowered its head and continued to eat, still snorting in its throat.

Jian Mo touched the kitten from head to toe: "Then come home with me, I'll have enough cans for you in the future."

Although he didn't find the kitten he had liked before, this one was not bad.

Jian Mo liked it more and more as he looked at it, and squatted down to wait patiently for the kitten to eat.

The kitten quickly finished the whole can and began to lick the bottom of the can.

Jian Mo gently touched its little belly, and he didn't expect that it looked small, but it had a big appetite.

After making sure it had finished eating, Jian Mo picked it up, wiped its mouth with a tissue, and then wiped its pink paws.

The kitten looked at Jian Mo with its round eyes, full of curiosity, and a snoring sound came from its throat.

Jian Mo hadn't seen such a friendly and cute kitten for a long time, and he petted it.

The kitten turned over in Jian Mo's arms, spread its hind legs, and exposed its soft belly, making it easier for Jian Mo to stroke it.

The little fellow's fur was long and soft. Jian Mo touched it twice, and couldn't help but picked up the kitten and buried his face in his belly.

The belly was soft and warm, and the kitten smelled of milk.

Jian Mo put his face on its belly, and felt extremely satisfied.

The kitten was confused and pushed Jian Mo's face with its paws: "Meow?"

Jian Mo smiled, grabbed the kitten's paws to stop it from moving, and buried his face in his belly again.

Just as Jian Mo lowered his head to bury his belly, he heard a slight movement behind him.

He turned his head subconsciously. He

saw a "cat" with shoulders taller than a human standing not far away, staring at him with green eyes, and he didn't know how long he had been staring.

Seeing him looking over, the "cat" pressed its ears back and bared its teeth with a threatening expression: "Which tribe are you from? Let go of my brother!"

What? How can a cat be so big? ! !

What's going on?

Jian Mo froze in place, holding the kitten in his arms, completely unable to come back to his senses, but cold sweat oozed from his back.

Is he dreaming?

Jian Mo maintained the posture of holding the cat and dared not move. His eyes were fixed on the big cat in front of him, wondering if there was something wrong with his mind?

The little cat stepped on Jian Mo's palm with its soft paws, then jumped lightly to the ground and ran to the big cat: "Meow."

The big cat showed a relieved expression, lowered its head to lick its head, and then held its neck, swung it back, and threw it on its back.

After settling the kitten down, the big cat asked Jian Mo warily, "Stray beastmen?"

What beastmen?

Can this cat really talk?!

Jian Mo felt dizzy.

He must be dreaming now.

Jian Mo thought vaguely that he was having a lucid dream.

The big cat hesitated for a moment, raised its paw, and seemed to want to come over to take a look.

At this time, another sound came from the depths of the forest.

The big cat's face changed, and it immediately turned around, looking like it was going to run.

Before it could run, several tall "people" had already run out of the forest.

One of them ran up to the big cat, raised his hand and slapped him.

The big cat meowed and turned sideways to hide.

The figure raised his hand again and beat the big cat like a violent storm, but avoided the little cat on its back.

The big cat was beaten and cried "meow meow": "Dad, stop beating me."

The man said: "If I don't beat you, won't you go to heaven?! And you sneaked your brother out to play, who taught you that?!" The

big cat: "Meow, Banqiu wants to come out to see, so I took him out to see."

The man laughed angrily: "Banqiu is just one month old! If it says it wants to come out, you take it out, where's your head?!"

The big cat shrank its neck: "Ah, I won't do it again in the future! I really won't do it again!"

The man beat the big cat violently, and when he was satisfied, he raised his head and looked at Jian Mo, his eyes were so sharp that he wanted to pierce Jian Mo.

Jian Mo had a headache and could hardly stand.

He widened his eyes and stared at the person in front of him.

The man was very tall and handsome, with healthy wheat-colored skin and thin muscles attached to his skeleton. He looked like a model.

This was not the point. The point was that the man had two upright cat ears on his dark gray hair, and his eyes were round, with larger pupils than those of ordinary humans.

It was obvious that the other party was not a human.

He must be dreaming.

Jian Mo thought, what a strange dream.

The man stared at Jian Mo: "Foreign orcs?"

Jian Mo's voice was hoarse: "I..."

Several people behind him also rushed over and stared at Jian Mo:

"Which tribe is this orc? Why is he so small?"

"He is definitely not from a tribe near us. I have never seen him."

"His beast skin is so strange."

Jian Mo looked at this group of people with various beast ears, and finally realized that he was not dreaming!

He didn't answer, but turned around and ran back.

The first person who spoke shouted directly: "Ban Ming--"

The big cat heard the call and rushed directly towards Jian Mo.

Jian Mo crouched down, trying to avoid the attack, but his feet slipped and he rolled down the hill, rolling for several meters, and hit the tree trunk with a "bang". The

big cat was stunned, and looked back at those people, as if hesitating whether to continue chasing.

Jian Mo completely ignored the pain, climbed up, and limped to continue running forward

-he had never run so fast before.

Something bad has happened.

Jian Mo thought.

When he came, the main road behind him was easy to recognize.

Now running back, the mud road behind has almost disappeared, and only the gaps in the bushes can be seen.

He quickly ran to an open area.

Through the gaps between the trees, he saw the scene below the mountain.

There were no tall buildings, no roads, no familiar urban areas below the mountain, only a plain, and snow-capped mountains in the distance.

The rain stopped at some point, and the white snow on the top of the snow-capped mountains was dyed golden by the setting sun.

Jian Mo looked back stiffly.

The big cat carrying the little cat caught up with him, and other strange people also caught up.

They surrounded Jian Mo in a siege, but their attitude was not fierce.

Jian Mo took a small step back, raised his hand to show that he was harmless, and murmured, "I don't know what's going on."

The man with cat ears said to his companions, "Go find the patriarch."

His companions said, "Ye Luo has already gone."

Everyone stood there in silence, confronting each other.

Jian Mo didn't know how long he had been standing there, maybe a long time, or maybe only a few dozen seconds.

While his mind was in a mess, a huge silver figure rushed out of the woods.

When the silver figure stopped, Jian Mo realized that it was a white wolf taller than the house.

Being stared at by those ice-blue eyes, Jian Mo couldn't breathe at all, let alone move.

Sweat broke out on his back, and he felt a huge pressure in his heart.

What kind of animal is this?

I'm not going to die here today, am I?

After staring for two seconds, the giant wolf lay on the ground, rolled over, and turned into a tall and handsome man.

The man didn't know when a piece of silver-white animal skin appeared in his hand. When he turned around, the animal skin had already wrapped his lower body.

Jian Mo couldn't see the whole process clearly. When he could see clearly again, the man was already standing in front of Jian Mo.

Everyone greeted the man: "Chief!"

The man stared at Jian Mo with sharp eyes, and his tall figure brought an extremely severe sense of oppression: "Foreign orcs?"

Jian Mo already understood what was going on in his heart, but emotionally refused to believe it.

He couldn't lie under this gaze, but he couldn't answer either. He just looked at the person in front of him in a trance.

At this time, his head began to hurt, and there were many messy memories in his mind.

Everyone looked at Jian Mo together.

Seeing that he didn't answer, the man frowned slightly and put his hands on his waist.

Jian Mo subconsciously thought that the man was going to attack, so he took a step back and forced himself to respond.

He moved his tongue in an awkward manner and changed to an obscure language: "Orc?"

The man stared at him: "Which tribe are you from?"

Jian Mo murmured: "I don't know."

With the man here, the group of people who had surrounded Jian Mo before became much calmer and their attitudes were not so sharp.

Their beast ears were retracted, and their eyes turned into human eyes, with the pupils accounting for a much normal proportion.

Everyone looked at Jian Mo with curiosity in their eyes.

Wu Jiong: "How did you get here?"

Jian Mo turned his head with a pale face and pointed to the place that had completely turned into a forest: "I walked over there and walked here in a flash."

The others looked behind him.

Someone muttered, "Isn't there a forest behind?"

Jian Mo's lips were completely bloodless: "There was a road when I came here."

The big cat said beside him, "Look at his footprints, he seemed to have walked out from there."

The man looked at Jian Mo, "My name is Wu Jiong. The place where you are standing now is the territory of our tribe. Do you want to leave or return to the tribe with us?"

Jian Mo: "I, I want to go back and take a look first."

Wu Jiong stared at him for a long time and agreed, "Okay, you lead the way."

Jian Mo felt his head start to hurt. He walked in front and led a group of people around in the forest.

The surrounding plants had completely turned into unfamiliar plants at some point. Their leaves were shiny and huge, and the trunks were wrapped with some brown roots.

There were no archways or artificial steps nearby, let alone the city that Jian Mo was familiar with. The snow-capped mountains in the distance were clearer.

Not only did he not find the way home after wandering around, but he became more certain that this was no longer Earth.

His head hurt so much that all the blood had gone out of his face.

Jian Mo opened his mouth, not knowing what to say.

Wu Jiong walked up and said to the others, "Take him back to the tribe first and ask later."

Then he rolled on the ground, turned back into a giant wolf, and walked towards Jian Mo.

The giant wolf didn't wait for Jian Mo to respond, but directly picked him up, turned around and threw him on its back.

The terrifying wolf mouth and huge fangs looked terrifying, but the throwing action was surprisingly not rough.

Jian Mo endured the headache and lay on the wolf's back.

The giant wolf's hair was long and warm, with a faint scent of grass and wood.

These people didn't seem to be hostile to him.

Jian Mo thought, let's go back and take a look.

The pain and discomfort completely took away Jian Mo's willpower. He could no longer hold on, and he closed his eyes and passed out.
