Aunt Zhang gave a thumbs-up and said, "Your grandmother is a clear-headed person. She didn't help her son and grandson exploit her granddaughter."
Qian Duoduo took the two cloth bags from the handlebars of the bicycle at the right time and handed them to Aunt Zhang. "Auntie, these are snacks I bought for the children. Take them home and give them as a snack."
Aunt Zhang took it with a smile, "You kid, why are you being so polite?" But when she picked up the bag, she almost dodged, "Oh my god, what is this? It's so heavy?"
Seeing a cigarette from the seam of her bag, she swallowed and said, "You are so polite, kid."
Liu Changshan took a look at it. The outside of the package was square and angular, and it didn't look like a pastry. "You go with your aunt to her house first. I'll go find the families in the west of the village and see if anyone is willing to sell their house and what the price is."
Qian Duoduo nodded and said, "Thank you for your hard work, old man."
Liu Changshan paused and said, "How about you look at the house today? I'll hold a meeting tonight to ask the villagers for their opinions and give you a reply tomorrow?"
Qian Duoduo smiled sheepishly, "Uncle, I'm taking the 6:30 train tomorrow morning to Shanghai. I'll be gone for almost a month. Liu Changshan nodded, put his hands behind his back and walked towards the field.
