Chapter 90: A poor family with no chance of success

Chi Lanlan sneered: "Three dollars isn't much. Uncle, you turned into a lion after going out. Now you come back and ask for a lot of money, right?"

Chi Du: "Three hundred yuan is really not much for you. It's mainly because I've been in some trouble recently. Otherwise, I wouldn't have borrowed money from you."

"We don't have any money to lend you, so you should find a way somewhere else."

The old lady cursed again: "You bitch, get out of here!"

She looked at Chi Cheng, whose wound had been bandaged: "Second brother, I ask you again, will you lend it to me or not?"

Chi Cheng had already seen through his parents and brothers and said, “There is no money to borrow.”

"Okay, you're so broke, aren't you? Then I'll take it myself. Third brother, take the duck away and sell it in town tomorrow. I'll lend you the money first."

"Let's see who dares." Chi Lanlan swung the knife towards the old lady's hand and was about to hit her.

The old lady was so scared that she pulled her hand back and screamed "Ah".

It was like he had really chopped off her hand: "You, you want to kill me? Kill me, kill me."

"Killing someone means paying with your life."

Chi Lanlan snorted: "Your worthless life is not worth my effort, but if you insist on money, I will cut off your tendons in your hands and feet, send you to the hospital, and compensate you with 300 yuan. Do you want it?"

The old lady wanted money, but not her tendons. Her tendons were cut off. She shrank her head and cursed, "You bitch, how can you be so cruel? You dare to say such words to your grandmother."

"Are you my grandma? You keep scolding me. Who the hell are you?"

Chi Du spoke with the tone of an elder lecturing a younger generation: "Your grandmother has no education, can't read a single word, and speaks in such a rustic way. You are back from the city, so don't bother with your grandmother."

"Uncle San is really in trouble right now. If he wasn't in trouble, he wouldn't have come to your father. Considering that we are brothers and family, I have to help you no matter how little you need."

"Uncle San is borrowing money because he really needs it urgently."

"Did I tell you I can't borrow it? Go borrow it from somewhere else."

Ji Cheng: "You guys set up the rules and signed them back then. Do you want me to show you your signatures?"

At first, he went to his brothers to borrow money and asked his parents for help, but they refused to lend him money and forced him to sign a promise that he would never borrow money from them again.

How dare you come to me to borrow money?

The old lady said, "Back then, my family was in financial difficulty and I had no choice but to say those words to you. Why are you holding such a grudge against me just because of that? Bring me the written document and I'll tear it up. From now on, we can just pretend that never happened."

"Once the damage is done, do you think you can erase it with just a few words?" Chi Lanlan looked at the old lady coldly.

Ji Cheng, who was originally a little shaken, instantly strengthened his position because of his daughter's words.

If he is not firm today, the old lady will come to trouble him every time.

This is not what he wants to see.

Xia Ruyan stared at Chi Lanlan with a cold light in her eyes.

"The adults are talking, get out of the way."

Chi Cheng said angrily: "You have no right to tell me what to do."

Chi knew the effect of Chi Lanlan's words on Chi Cheng, and smiled flatteringly: "Lanlan, Third Uncle has been out all the time, and you just came back. If you don't understand Third Uncle and your father, don't add fuel to the fire here."

"I came to see your father today for a compelling reason. You are a girl, and since you are married, you should stop interfering in family affairs."

"It's not your turn to decide whether I take care of family affairs or not."

Chi Du's face suddenly turned ugly.

As an uncle, he had already given Chi Lanlan enough face by saying this.

Don't blame him if he doesn't appreciate it.

He raised his hand to hit Chi Lanlan.

But before he raised his hand to strike, his wrist was clamped by a strong force.

Chi Du's brows were twisted into a knot in pain. He turned around and saw Zhou Jingyun standing beside him with a sinister look, staring at him sharply.

Chi Du paused for a moment and said, "You, an outsider, have committed treason. You deserve to die."

Chi Lanlan sneered: "The Qing Dynasty has fallen, what are you still doing? If you say that again, I will report you."

Chi Du paused.

Zhou Jingyun sneered, "You bully my wife."

Chi Du's eyelids twitched and he said, "I haven't hit you yet."

Chi Lanlan: "Do you still need to fight me?"

Chi came here to borrow money, not to fight. Now looking at the situation in front of him, his eyes darkened.

Xia Ruyan said, "Second Brother, I'm putting this on hold today. You have to lend Third Brother's money whether you want to or not."

Chi Lanlan laughed and said, "You are so impressive. In my family, you are even more impressive than an official."

Old Mrs. Chi felt that everything was Chi Lanlan's fault and that she was the one stirring up trouble: "Shut up, you have nothing to do here."

Chi Lanlan: "You have no right to tell me to shut up."

Her eyes were too cold. The old lady had never taken advantage of her. She gritted her teeth in anger and said, "You are being disrespectful to grandma like this. I will teach you a lesson."

She raised her hand to hit someone.

Chi Yao helped the old lady teach Chi Lanlan a lesson.

Zhou Jingyun suddenly swept his hand, and Chi didn't stand still and fell backwards.

The old lady immediately shouted like a pig being slaughtered: "Lao San, my Lao San."

Chi Cheng looked at the scene in front of him and felt angry and helpless.

The old lady was like crazy, cursing, "Second brother, you bastard, I worked so hard to raise you, and now, this is how you repay me?"

"You're not afraid of being laughed at."

Chi Lanlan: "You come to our house every day to cause trouble, aren't you the one who should be laughed at?"
