Chapter 103 Young Master Tang
Wan Ziyan was still immersed in the joy of Wan Qiqi recognizing him.
He thought that after that sudden family reunion, the other party would think he was a liar and would never talk to him again.
Now that I see it, he was overthinking it!
He chuckled, "Little sister, shall we go eat wontons?" His eyes lowered, and he noticed the white gauze wrapped around Wan Qiqi's hand. His expression changed, and he exclaimed in surprise, "You're injured!"
Wan Qiqi looked at the back of her hand and smiled faintly, "It was just a bee sting, nothing serious."
She spoke casually, but Wan Ziyan's expression grew increasingly grim.
What do you mean by "just"? If it were a venomous bee, one bite would be fatal!
What's wrong with the Chen family? Not only do they make her come out to earn money, but they also make her do such dangerous things!
Wan Qiqi didn't pay attention to Wan Ziyan, but stared intently at Chen Yongliang, noticing that his gaze kept darting away.
She asked casually, "Third brother, are you that familiar with the Tao family?"
"No, no." After saying that, Chen Yongliang immediately left Tao Jing and prepared to return to his sister-in-law's side.
Seeing that the situation was not right, Tao Jing grabbed Chen Yongliang and ran over with a smile, "Sister Wan, are you in a bad mood? How about I take you shopping? Whenever I'm unhappy, I go shopping and I feel better after I finish shopping!"
Wan Qiqi was surprised that Tao Jing was so thoughtful, and also found it surprising that people in this era would go shopping when they were in a bad mood.
Sure enough, no matter the era, shopping is a woman's nature!
However, she doesn't have the means to shop around right now. She has a sick person, a pregnant woman, and two children at home, so she needs to go back and get busy as soon as possible.
Wan Qiqi was unaware that her life had already revolved around her entire family, and she considered herself a member of it!
Her silence drew all eyes to her.
Wan Ziyan said, "Little sister, if you encounter any problems, you can discuss them with me. Brother Tao and I will help you together."
Wan Qiqi's gaze swept over the group, finally settling on Wan Ziyan. "Second Brother, thank you for your kindness, but I..."
Wan Ziyan stopped Wan Qiqi with a gesture, "Alright, I understand, you don't need to say anything more."
In fact, Wan Ziyan would help Wan Qiqi with many things if she just asked. But she felt that Wan Ziyan's status made it inappropriate for him to get involved in any of the matters.
He was the renowned Master Wan of Hefeng Town; how could such trivial matters tarnish his reputation?
Furthermore, Tang Qiwen and the Wan family live near each other and may be neighbors they know. If they have a conflict because of her, it will be another headache.
Ultimately, Wan Qiqi felt that she herself was the only one who was truly reliable.
Wan Qiqi did not refuse Wan Ziyan's invitation to eat wontons together. After watching the classes at the academy, she took Chen Yongliang and drove a mule cart to the market.
Seeing that they intended to set up a stall, Madam He hurriedly said, "You still dare to set up a stall? Young Master Tang has been keeping a close eye on things these past two days. Don't let him smash your things again!"
Chen Yongliang slowly stopped what he was doing. "Sister-in-law, shall we go to another town?"
"What's there to exchange?" Wan Qiqi glanced at him and slowly moved the water-filled wooden buckets off the mule cart. "What are you standing there for? Give me a hand!"
Chen Yongliang knew that once his sister-in-law made a decision, nothing could change her mind, so he could only shut up and help her.
“If he really has his eye on you, even if you go somewhere else, someone will still cause you trouble.” Wan Qiqi thought for a long time before deciding to return to her original spot to set up her stall.
Tang Qiwen has connections in the county and his family is wealthy, so he must have acquaintances in every town. Even if they move to another place, the result will be the same.
She still held the same idea: instead of waiting for someone to come to her, she should go to them herself, at least she would have the initiative.
Rather than going to another town and getting smashed a few more times, it's better to go back to where we are and see what this young master Tang really wants.
Chen Yongliang felt that it was okay for him to be beaten, but he couldn't let his sister-in-law be beaten too, otherwise he wouldn't be able to explain it to his elder brother or his mother when he got back.
The stall had barely been set up when it attracted a lot of customers.
"Your sweet soup tastes just like the one from Xiangmingxuan!"
"Yes, I remember there's a dessert shop in the east of town that sells it too, and it tastes exactly the same as yours."
"How do you manage to make your sweet soup taste exactly like theirs, and at the same price too!"
Wan Qiqi replied with a smile, "I supply the two companies you mentioned, so they are the same."
"You're the supplier!" the man exclaimed in surprise. "I never expected the young lady to be so capable!"
"Don't lie to me. Those are all well-known shops. You?" The burly man looked Wan Qiqi up and down. "You're just a countrywoman. How could you possibly supply two shops with their goods!"
Faced with the doubts, Wan Qiqi was unimpressed and did not bother to explain.
But this person did remind her that she should get herself a new outfit!
When doing business, one should dress more presentably and not wear patched-up clothes.
Just then, a commotion arose from the crowd in the distance, and several people dressed identically walked directly toward the dessert stall.
Chen Yongliang caught a glimpse of this and quickly grabbed Wan Qiqi's arm, his body trembling and even his lips shaking, "Big...Sister-in-law, quick...quick...run!"
Wan Qiqi put down the bamboo cup and returned the copper coins she had just received to the customer. "Sorry, we're not doing business today!"
Her expression was calm, which made people feel a little puzzled.
Soon, the group of servants stopped at the dessert stall and chased all the customers away.
Seeing this, the surrounding vendors moved their stalls aside, afraid of being affected.
"Oh, there's a young lady here today!" A male voice came from behind the servant.
At this moment, the servants parted to make way, and a young man dressed in a brocade robe walked over.
