Chapter 21 Going to Town

"What did you just do?" Wan Qiqi looked at Chen Yongnian curiously, finding it hard to believe that he would throw copper coins at Aunt Dazhuang.

Chen Yongnian blinked, looking puzzled: "Didn't you say you'd refund one penny to Aunt Dazhuang?"

He didn't mean to hit Aunt Dazhuang, but he accidentally used too much force and it just so happened to land on Aunt Dazhuang's face.

Wan Qiqi choked up. She began to wonder if Chen Yongnian was really stupid or just pretending. Why did it always seem like he was faking it?

The people on the cart initially had a decent impression of Wan Qiqi, but after seeing her kick someone off the oxcart, they suddenly felt that she was truly barbaric and shrewish. They all sat far away from her, afraid that her anger would affect them.

Wan Qiqi found that the surroundings were empty. She glanced at the crowd of people crammed together and felt rather helpless. These people really treated her like a demon and were so afraid of her!

She suddenly noticed the bag next to Chen Yongnian and had a bad feeling. She frowned and asked, "What's inside?"

Chen Yongnian lowered his voice and said, "Sell the snake for money."

Upon hearing this, Wan Qiqi immediately shrank back and moved far away from Chen Yongnian.

She never expected that Chen Yongnian would catch snakes to sell for money!

That's a snake!

Although she didn't see what kind of snake it was yesterday, in Wan Qiqi's eyes, all snakes are poisonous.

By the time we arrived in Hefeng Town, the sun had already risen above the horizon.

The sunlight, unobstructed by the clouds, shone on Wan Qiqi and Chen Yongnian.

In addition to the neatly arranged stalls on both sides of the street, there are also villagers sitting on the ground with bamboo baskets in front of them, filled with wild vegetables and fruits picked from the mountains.

As soon as the two got off the oxcart, a strong smell of meat buns wafted towards them.

At this moment, both of them were tempted, and Wan Qiqi went after smelling the aroma.

The steamed bun vendor smiled and said, "Young lady, would you like to try some freshly steamed meat buns? Three coins each."

Wan Qiqi couldn't help but frown. She remembered that when the original owner came to town last time, the most expensive meat buns were only two coins each. How come they've become three coins now!

She felt it was a bad deal, since they only cost two coins each in the mall!

On the other side, Chen Yongnian was negotiating with a vendor while holding a snake, "Boss, didn't a snake used to sell for 60 coins?"
