Chapter 215 The Wolf and the Eagle Fight
The house was filled with constant clanging and banging, and faint sounds of animal howls and bird calls could be heard.
Wang was washing vegetables in the courtyard, listening to the sounds coming from inside, and she felt that something was wrong.
Suddenly, she remembered that there was a child and a wolf cub inside, and she pushed the door open and went in.
Although the wolf cub was small and looked cute, it was raised by mountain bandits and when it roared, its sharp teeth were terrifying.
The peregrine falcon spread its wings and flapped, trying to fly up and grab the wolf cubs with its talons, but it was too used to being domesticated and could not fly up with its arms outstretched, only kicking up layer after layer of dust.
Dust filled the room, and the ashes and embers from the stove flew around with it.
Fortunately, it was an open space, so nothing else was burned or damaged.
The door opened, and the little monkey's eyes were filled with terror and fear; it hugged its arms and trembled.
He opened his mouth as if to explain something, but could only make "uh uh" sounds.
Pingping had never seen such a scene before, and was so frightened that she quickly hugged her younger sister and held her protectively in her arms.
An'an, nestled in their arms, was calmer than the two of them. She revealed a pair of curious eyes, carefully examining the wolf cub and the peregrine falcon, as if trying to see what they would do next.
Seeing this, Wang thought that wild birds and beasts had frightened the child, so she quickly grabbed a stick and hit it at the entangled wolf cub and peregrine falcon.
The stick landed right between them and hit them all!
Two different cries rang out, both pointing outwards towards Wang, as if they were very dissatisfied with her behavior and wanted to teach this arrogant human a lesson.
Seeing that the wolf cub was angry, the little monkey ran over barefoot without even putting on his shoes, picked up the wolf cub, and ignored its struggles.
An'an naturally realized that the peregrine falcon wanted to hurt Grandma. She shoved Pingping aside, rushed over, grabbed the peregrine falcon by its two wings, and dragged it inside, muttering, "If you dare to hurt Grandma, I'll have my dad stew you!"
"Coo coo~" The peregrine falcon turned its head, saw that it was its master, and could only give up struggling and let the other party drag it away.
"Coo coo~" it cooed twice more, as if expressing its dissatisfaction and discomfort.
Wang was stunned.
I don't think I'm as capable as my two kids...
The commotion in the main room also woke Wan Qiqi up. She put on her coat, her shoes barely on, and hurriedly came in.
Dust was still flying, and the wolf cub and peregrine falcon lay listlessly in their owner's hands, looking like corpses.
She paused, smiled, then frowned and asked, "You guys were fighting?"
The three children quickly shook their heads.
Pingping replied, "They started fighting!"
Wan Qiqi stared at the wolf cub and the peregrine falcon, looking helpless.
You really can't keep birds of prey and wild animals at the same time in your home, they're bound to fight!
Chen Yongnian also rushed into the main room at the same time.
Compared to Wan Qiqi, he was dressed rather lightly, without a coat, and his shoes were on backwards.
"Don't let them stay together from now on." Wan Qiqi continued to put on the sleeves she had only half-pulled on, and only sat down after buttoning them up. She said, "It's okay if they fight, but it's not good if they hurt someone."
An'an immediately tapped the peregrine falcon, grinned, and said, "Mom, I've already scolded it, don't be angry anymore, okay?"
With that, she abandoned the peregrine falcon, plucked a feather from its paw, and trotted over to Wan Qiqi's side. "Mom, this is for you. From now on, it will listen to you!"
Wan Qiqi seemed to see the peregrine falcon roll its eyes.
She took the feather, a gentle smile on her face, and reached out to gently stroke An'an's nose. "Okay!" she said, patting the fine feathers off An'an's body. "Go wash your hands, you're filthy!"
The peregrine falcon seemed to hear its mistress saying it was dirty.
It looked at its own feathers; they were so clean, where was there any dirt?
Pingping walked towards Wan Qiqi, lowered her head, and said, "Mother, I'm sorry, it was my fault."
Wan Qiqi chuckled twice, patted his head from behind, and waved to the little monkey, signaling him to come over.
The little monkey looked at Wan Qiqi, then at the wolf cub, and abandoned the wolf cub aside.
He stepped barefoot on the ground and patted himself all over to make sure there were no more wolf hairs before carefully walking to Wan Qiqi's side.
Like Pingping, he lowered his head to express his apology.
It was because he failed to properly manage the wolf cubs that they started fighting with the eagles.
Wan Qiqi knew that although the little monkey couldn't speak, he knew everything and was very careful in everything he did, for fear of being abandoned.
She reached out and grabbed the little monkey's hand, and at the same time grabbed Pingping's hand, putting both hands together.
At the same time, the little monkey and Pingping looked up at each other.
Wan Qiqi looked at the little monkey and said gently, "You are a guest in my home, not a prisoner. You don't need to be so careful. You can play with my children."
Then, she looked at Pingping, her tone becoming more serious than before, "You are the little man of the family, and you will be the man in charge in the future. As the master of the house, you should act like the master of the house."
She looked at Pingping and asked earnestly, "Did your mother teach you what to do when guests come to the house?"
Pingping pursed her lips and replied, "We should treat our guests well and make them feel at home. That's how we can build a lasting relationship."
Wan Qiqi nodded. "So, did you manage to do it this time?"
Pingping then realized where she had gone wrong!
But when he saw his mother holding the little monkey and not holding him at all when she came back, he felt sad.
He thought this person was here to steal his mother's love for him and his sister!
"I'm sorry, Mother, I was wrong!" Pingping lowered her head, her attitude sincere.
"That's a good boy!" Wan Qiqi patted Pingping's head and stretched out her arms. "Come here, let Mommy give you a hug."
