Chapter 346 He suffered a concussion.

Chapter 346 He suffered a concussion.

Seeing the man trying to run away, Li Wei immediately called for his brothers, who leaped over to catch him.

However, no one expected that the man would evade the martial arts school's capture in just a few moves.

The people were also frightened by the sudden fight and quickly scattered in all directions.

The man turned around and exchanged a glance with Wan Qiqi, seemingly understanding what she was about to do.

He suddenly grabbed a handful of sand from the ground, which blinded Li Wei, and then grabbed a pebble and threw it at Wan Qiqi.

Wu Gousheng used his umbrella to block the stone, but the stone pierced through the paper umbrella like a sharp blade, slowing its speed slightly as it headed towards Wan Qiqi.

Wan Qiqi then realized that she had underestimated this person's skills.

As the stone drew closer, Wan Qiqi suddenly fell backward.

She'd rather fall and smash her head than be crushed by a rock!

With a "bang," the stone sank into the wooden door.

Then, with another "bang," the wooden door collapsed to the ground.

The onlookers were stunned. What had just happened?

Someone is trying to kill someone?

"Take it down!"

As the sound subsided, a group of yamen runners rushed out, and the people hurried back.

Then, constables with knives rushed out and grappled with the man.

Just as the man was about to escape by trickery, a young man leaped into the air and struck him directly.

Caught off guard, the man was kicked away without any chance to resist, crashing into the wall with a bang.

"Cough~" The man fell to the ground and coughed up blood, showing that the person who kicked him had used a lot of force.

The man looked up, his face filled with terror, and immediately two gleaming knives were placed against his neck.

He hesitated for a moment, and before anyone could react, he slashed his neck with the horizontal blade, and blood immediately stained the blade red.

"Ah, someone's been murdered!" the timid villagers cried out.

"Silence!" the young man shouted sternly, taking out the ivory tag from his waist and raising it. "This is an official case; all bystanders must leave!"

The people were already terrified by the sudden turn of events, and seeing that the young man was fierce and a government official, they quickly dispersed.

As soon as Li Wei saw the scene before him, he was subdued by the yamen runners. He instinctively resisted, but was immediately subdued.

He squinted and stared for a long time before finally recognizing the young man.

In the Yunhe County government office, there was a skilled constable named Liang Pengfei, who had once studied martial arts at the Hefeng Town Martial Arts School.

By all accounts, he can be considered Li Wei's senior.

He immediately composed himself, bowed respectfully, and said, "Li Wei greets Constable Liang!"

Liang Pengfei ignored Li Wei, not even glancing at him, and simply waved his hand, signaling his men to release Li Wei.

Wu Gousheng, however, stared warily at Liang Pengfei, using the umbrella in his hand as a weapon.

Liang Pengfei had a ring of stubble around his lips and a pair of deep, sharp eyes; no matter how you looked at him, he didn't seem like a kind person.

Although the person was a government official, they might be there to arrest Sister Qi, so he couldn't let them get close.

Wan Qiqi sat on the ground, clutching the back of her head, her ears ringing and her vision blurring.

She felt like she had a concussion!

After a long while, she finally recovered and squinted at Liang Pengfei through the gap in Wu Gousheng's figure.

She didn't recognize the visitor, but she recognized the county government's badge.

He sat up, patted Wu Gousheng's trouser leg, and said, "Move aside!"

Wu Gousheng then stepped aside, allowing Liang Pengfei and Wan Qiqi to meet face to face.

Since Liang Pengfei appeared, he hadn't opened his eyes to look at any of them, and when he saw Wan Qiqi, he only glanced at her twice.

He asked in a cold voice, "You are Wan Qiqi?"

"Yes, it's me!" Wan Qiqi rubbed the back of her head and found that a bump had formed!

She reached out to Wu Gousheng, gesturing for him to help her up.

She staggered a couple of steps, but finally regained her balance.

Liang Pengfei didn't waste any more words with her. He raised his token and said, "I am Liang Pengfei, the head constable of Yunhe County. I have been ordered to come and invite Manager Wan to come over!"

A hint of surprise flashed across Wan Qiqi's eyes.

As she expected, there were government officials in the town.

If she guessed correctly, it should be the newly appointed county magistrate.

Although Wan Qiqi couldn't confirm who the new county magistrate was, she could sense that he probably didn't have any ill intentions towards her.

"Officer Liang, I..." Wan Qiqi took a step forward, her vision blurred, and her limbs went limp as if all the strength had been drained from her.

Wu Gousheng was so frightened that he suddenly lifted Wan Qiqi up, his face darkening as he asked, "Sister Qi, are you alright?"

"No...it's nothing, I'm just a little dizzy!" Wan Qiqi had barely finished speaking when she started gagging again.

Holy crap! This is outrageous!

Could he have really gotten a concussion?

Wan Qiqi, relying on Wu Gousheng's strength, didn't want to move at all and said, "Officer Liang, you've seen my current condition. I might not be able to leave with you immediately."

Everyone looked at Liang Pengfei.

Liang Pengfei's face showed no sympathy whatsoever, and even a hint of impatience.

When everyone thought he would refuse, he said instead, "I'll rest for half an hour."

Not only were Wu Gousheng and his group stunned, but even the constables who were with Liang Pengfei were stunned!

Normally, Constable Liang is ruthless when it comes to arresting people; he doesn't show any leniency and arrests them without hesitation.

Has Officer Liang taken the wrong medicine today?

Wan Qiqi didn't care about Liang Pengfei's past behavior. She sat down on the ground against the wall, not caring whether it was dirty or not!

All she wanted to do at that moment was sit down and rest to ease her discomfort.

After sitting for a while and drinking some water, Wan Qiqi finally recovered and recalled what had just happened.

She craned her neck to look at the pool of blood on the ground, then looked up and asked, "Dead?"
