As soon as she entered the room, a sour, pungent smell of vomit hit her, and Wan Qiqi almost vomited on the spot.
She lingered at the door for a while before she could adjust and carried the medicine inside.
Similar to where she lived, these people also lay on straw, except they had an extra tattered straw mat.
Wan Qiqi stepped forward with the medicine, trying to wake the patient, but the patient was already drowsy, so she could only feed him spoonful by spoonful.
Fortunately, the person was still subconscious and swallowed the medicine naturally when it reached their lips. Before long, the medicine bowl was empty.
And so, Wan Qiqi carried the medicine to the next location.
However, although the man was sober, he vomited after only a couple of sips of the medicine.
Wan Qiqi looked extremely uncomfortable, even feeling nauseous and wanting to vomit.
After a long while, the man finally finished drinking it and apologized to Wan Qiqi, "I'm sorry, I scared you. I just couldn't help it, the medicine was too bitter!"
"It's okay." Wan Qiqi understood this feeling.
Being sick is already difficult enough; to then force down bitter Chinese medicine would be unbearable, especially since she immediately added antibiotics to the medicine, making the taste even worse.
The man had probably never seen someone so calm and composed before, and he glanced at them a few more times.
Wan Qiqi fed the medicine to each patient in the room one by one. By the time she reached the last bed, her forehead was covered with a thin layer of sweat.
She thought feeding medicine would be an easy task, but she found it was more tiring than picking crabs or digging for wild vegetables. After all that, she was exhausted, but thankfully, only one person was left.
"Wake up, it's time for your medicine!" Wan Qiqi shook the person lying on the mat.
"Ugh~ Sister-in-law, I feel so uncomfortable."
