Chapter 449 The Missing Iron Ox
As the sun sets at dusk, Hefeng Town is bathed in a warm yellow glow.
Si Xi followed Xiao Liu Zi to clean all the private rooms on the fourth floor before sitting down in an empty seat on the first floor to have some tea and catch his breath.
The deliveryman, having few orders, sat down to rest and listened to Xiao Ding talk about the layout of the alleys in Hefeng Town.
Si Xi looked around but couldn't find Tie Niu. He asked, "Isn't Tie Niu with you?"
Xiao Ding was taken aback for a moment and said, "I didn't see him. I thought he went upstairs to help you clean the private room!"
As everyone knows, Tie Niu and Sixi's relationship has improved a lot in the past two days, and they often chat and laugh together.
Of course, the relationship between the others and Sixi has also improved a lot, and it is not as tense as before.
Just then, someone said, "Sixi, just leave him alone. Who knows where he's gone to slack off!"
"Don't be fooled by his willingness to take on tasks every day. He's also someone who likes to slack off, but he's always being watched so he can't be lazy."
Everyone was joking around, not really caring about the missing Tie Niu, and no one said they intended to look for him.
Si Xi thought that these people had a good relationship with Tie Niu and would care about him.
Unexpectedly, these people not only didn't care, but also made jokes here.
In an instant, she lost much of her goodwill towards these people.
Erpang approached and said, "I remember Tie Niu went out. Could it be that Sister Qi asked him to do something?"
Si Xi thought about it carefully and shook his head.
They asked all the restaurant staff, but still no one had seen Tie Niu.
Sensing something was wrong, she ran to the kitchen, scanned the area but didn't see Wan Qiqi, and asked Panda, "Brother Da, where's Manager Wan?"
"Manager Wan and Gou Sheng have gone out!" Panda said.
"Little girl, what do you need Sister Qi for? Tell me, and I'll help you!" Lei Zi spoke directly as always.
He spoke rather rudely to others, but was slightly gentler with Sixi, perhaps because she was a woman.
"You probably can't help me with this. I'd better go find Manager Zhu!" Sixi said as he walked out of the kitchen.
Lei Zi felt something was off, so he followed behind her and asked, "What happened? Are they coming to cause trouble?"
"If they were causing trouble, we could at least yell back, but now someone's gone missing!" Sixi sounded anxious, and quickened his pace.
Upon seeing Xiao Liu standing in front of the counter, she immediately asked, "Brother Liu, where is Manager Zhu?"
"Upstairs in the study." Xiao Liuzi looked puzzled as he saw Si Xi rushing upstairs and asked, "What's wrong?"
Si Xi paused, turned to look at the waiter on the first floor, and said, "I have a feeling that Tie Niu might be in trouble!"
A moment later, everyone gathered in the lobby on the first floor.
Upon learning of the situation, Zhu Chengye made a decisive decision, saying, "Xiao Ding, you're familiar with the town, so take some men and search outside. Erpang, you know Tie Niu well, so search the places he frequents... Everyone, we must find them before dark!"
"Okay!" everyone said in unison.
Some people, still not realizing what was happening, asked, "Manager Zhu, nothing should happen, right?"
“It would be best if nothing happened. If something did, the restaurant would have a hard time explaining to his family.” Zhu Chengye was noticeably sterner than usual as he said to Liu Ji, “You keep an eye on the restaurant. I’ll go with everyone to look for him.”
Just as Zhu Chengye was giving instructions, Sixi looked at the delivery slips on the table and suddenly remembered something.
She remembered that Tie Niu had taken a delivery order that afternoon, and it seemed that she hadn't seen him since then.
"What's wrong?" Wan Qiqi returned from shopping and noticed that everyone's expressions were off, so she sensed something was wrong.
Si Xi hurriedly said, "Manager Wan, Tie Niu hasn't returned since he delivered the meal today!"
Wan Qiqi frowned slightly and said to Liu Ji, "Find the order that Tie Niu delivered this afternoon."
All delivery orders, except the one held by the delivery person, will be registered.
Soon, Liu Ji found the list in the register and said, "Manager Wan, South Alley, West Second Street..."
West Second Street is located on the west side of the town and is also known as West Alley.
The residential area in the south alley of West Second Street is the most chaotic, with all sorts of people, some of whom even make a living by petty theft.
Wan Qiqi has always kept a close eye on the delivery orders, and generally avoids delivering to some remote areas to prevent problems from arising.
It's obvious that Tie Niu took the order because the restaurant wasn't doing well.
"Gousheng, take a few men to the south alley of West Second Street and make sure you find Tie Niu!"
Wu Gousheng had just entered when he heard the news that Tie Niu was missing, and he also looked anxious. "Okay!"
He picked out a few guys who looked capable and immediately went out.
"I'll go too!" Sixi said hurriedly.
Before anyone else could speak, she had already chased after them.
Without hesitation, Wan Qiqi also prepared to go out and search together.
He had only taken two steps when Zhu Chengye stopped him.
“It’s getting late, and it’s not safe for you to go out as a woman.” Zhu Chengye wasn’t unconcerned about Tie Niu’s safety, but in his eyes, Tie Niu was not as important as Wan Qiqi.
If Wan Qiqi gets into trouble, he will lose a good partner and will have a hard time explaining to Chen Yongnian.
"There won't be any problems," Wan Qiqi said with a faint smile.
He had only taken two steps when he was stopped again, who said, "It's all just speculation. He might have been held up by something, but he'll be fine! I'll go, you stay at the restaurant and wait for our news!"
Wan Qiqi glanced at him for a moment, then slowly nodded and said, "Alright, then be careful. If there's still no news after 5 PM, I'll have someone report it to the authorities!"
At 7:45 PM, the streets and alleys were deserted, but the lights of Xinglong Restaurant were still burning.
