Chapter 539 After sending two away, two more arrived.
Chen Yongnian recognized the person at the door and opened it.
"Uncle-Master, Mo Lin, what brings you here?" His voice was light and cheerful, and a bright smile appeared on his face.
"I heard that Sister Qi is going to open a restaurant in Yunhe County, so I pestered my master to come and see if there was anything I could do to help."
Chen Molin craned his neck and peered inside, trying to find that familiar figure.
Xie Xing appeared indifferent, and gave a faint "hmm" after Chen Molin finished speaking.
Before either of them could move, the wolf in Chen Molin's hand moved first, taking two steps inside, nudging Chen Yongnian's legs twice, and then obediently sitting down.
Its docile appearance showed no trace of a wolf's wildness; it was more like a domesticated dog, appearing very gentle.
The noise from the doorway attracted Wan Qiqi's attention.
She put down her work and walked outside. Before she could see who it was, a dark shape rushed towards her.
"Azure Jade!!!"
Chen Molin exclaimed in surprise as the rope slipped from his grasp, his hand throbbing with pain.
But he had no time to think about that and rushed toward the fleeing "Azure Jade," not wanting it to hurt the people he cared about.
Chen Yongnian and Xie Xing jumped at the same time, reaching out to pull the rope.
But neither of them could stop the rampaging wolf, and they watched as Wan Qiqi was pounced on by Cang Yu.
Then, something unexpected happened.
Cangyu pounced on Wan Qiqi, but instead of tearing her prey apart as expected, she licked her cheeks with her tongue and wagged her tail very frequently.
Wan Qiqi plopped down on the ground, looking somewhat dazed, then disgustedly pushed away the wolf-faced creature that approached her, "Get away, you're filthy!"
Her complaints did not stop Cang Yu; on the contrary, they made him even more excited.
At that moment, Xie Xing pulled the rope, keeping Cang Yu away from the people on the ground.
Chen Yongnian immediately helped the person on the ground up and asked with concern, "Are you hurt anywhere?"

Wan Qiqi rinsed the cup with freshly boiled water before pouring Xie Xing a cup of water, saying, "The things have just been moved in, and many things are not yet set up. Please forgive me, Lord Xie."
Xie Xing glanced at the steaming water in front of him, smiled, and said, "It's alright. I was being presumptuous and shouldn't have come uninvited."

Wan Qiqi felt that Xie Xing's uninvited arrival must be ill-intentioned, and he might have some bad intentions.
However, he still had to put on a show, after all, this was Chen Yongnian's martial uncle.

"We'll be visiting each other more often in the future, so please don't mind me messing around with you two." Xie Xing said, glancing at Chen Molin in the courtyard, "Molin should be very happy that you're coming to stay in the county for an extended period."
Wan Qiqi looked at the courtyard and said, "Mo Lin has grown quite a bit taller in the past few months, and his speech has become much clearer."
