Chapter 576 Tang Qiwen's Visit

Chapter 576 Tang Qiwen's Visit

Xinglong Restaurant.

Customers came and went in a constant stream, and the staff were always busy.

"Young master, the restaurant has just started serving dim sum. It's soft, chewy, and delicious. I guarantee you'll want more after you finish it. Would you like a serving?"

The waiter greeted the young man who was standing at the entrance of the restaurant with a smile.

The young man glanced at the waiter with displeasure in his eyes, dodged the waiter's outstretched hand, and said coldly, "Is your Manager Wan here?"

The waiter was taken aback and looked at the man in front of him.

This man was handsome with delicate features, resembling a frail scholar; he was dressed in fine brocade, so he must be a young master from some noble family.

Upon closer inspection, the person seemed unfamiliar, as if I had never seen them before.

"Young master, please have a seat first. I'll speak with Manager Wan. What do you think?" The waiter did not directly refuse the other party.

He didn't know the other party's identity and dared not provoke them, so he could only invite them into the restaurant to calm them down before making any further moves.

The young man didn't say anything, glanced at the waiter, and stepped inside.

When the waiter couldn't see his face, the young man's eyes were full of violence, which was replaced by gentleness once he entered the restaurant.

Erpang was giving his partner some instructions when he looked up and saw the young man approaching. He froze on the spot.

"Brother Erpang, what's wrong?" The waiter followed his gaze but couldn't see anything wrong.

"You go ahead with your work, I have something to do." Erpang stuffed the things in his hands into the waiter's arms, his movements were a little flustered, and his hands were trembling slightly.

He ran towards the backyard, his steps hurried, and he almost tripped over himself.

"Brother Gousheng... Brother Gousheng, something bad has happened! Tang Qiwen is here!" Erpang rushed over and bumped into Wu Gousheng's arms, his legs still trembling.

Wu Gousheng looked down at Erpang, his brows furrowed. "Who did you say? Tang Qiwen?"

His tone was somewhat doubtful, as if he didn't quite believe it.

"Yes, that's him!" Erpang nodded affirmatively.

"Oh no! This guy coming over is definitely not good!" Wu Gousheng looked around, hesitating whether to tell Wan Qiqi.

What if he tells Tang Qiwen and then makes things difficult for Wan Qiqi just like Xiao Huai?

Needless to say, even these people would find it difficult to cope.

While Wu Gousheng hesitated, Wan Qiqi came out of the kitchen, tilted her head and stared at the two people hugging, and said, "What... are you doing?"

The two immediately let go.

Wu Gousheng quickly straightened his clothes, cleared his throat, and said, "Sister, why don't you go out for a stroll? Manager Zhu and I will take care of things at the restaurant!"

He patted his chest, looking as if he could rest assured that the matter was safe with him.

Wan Qiqi raised an eyebrow and turned to look in the direction of the hall.

Wu Gousheng and Erpang gasped, fearing that Wan Qiqi would see Tang Qiwen in the hall and be harassed by him.

Wan Qiqi tilted her head and asked, "An old friend has come?"

Both of them shook their heads, denying the matter.

"Lying isn't good for kids~" Wan Qiqi smiled, not giving the two a chance to react, and strolled towards the hall.

By the time Wu Gousheng reacted, Wan Qiqi had already reached the entrance of the hall. He wanted to stop her, but it was too late. He could only catch up with her and stay by her side, prioritizing her protection.

Wan Qiqi glanced to the side and tacitly allowed Wu Gousheng to follow.

In the lobby.

Tang Qiwen looked left and right, seemingly surveying the restaurant's layout and customer traffic.

Zhou Youcai stood in front of him, his eyes filled with doubt, wondering what this person was up to.

To deliver a letter, simply leave it on the counter; no one will be tempted by Manager Wan's intentions.

But this person insisted on handing it over to Manager Wan personally, and refused to reveal his name.

Although this person was strange, his attitude was gentle, without the arrogance of a young nobleman, and he was even very polite.

"Oh, isn't this Young Master Tang? What brings you here!"

A clear, crisp female voice rang out, drawing the attention of the two people at the counter.

Tang Qiwen's eyes flashed with a hint of murderous intent when he saw the approaching person, but it vanished in an instant and was replaced by a smile.

"I happened to see Manager Wan's letter and am sending it here; I also wish Manager Wan's restaurant a prosperous opening and great success."

His voice was calm and even, making it impossible to detect any problem.

Wan Qiqi seemed to see Tang Qiwen gritting his teeth.

No matter how well you pretend, you can't hide the resentment in your heart when you hate someone.

"I'm really sorry to trouble Young Master Tang to make this trip in person!" Wan Qiqi replied with a smile, extending her hand to Tang Qiwen.

Tang Qiwen clenched his fist, took the letter out of his chest, and handed it to Wan Qiqi.

The series of movements, seemingly ordinary, were slightly stiff.

Especially when Tang Qiwen placed the letter in Wan Qiqi's hand, his eyes couldn't hide the desire to kill someone.

Wan Qiqi, however, seemed not to have seen half of it. She took the letter without even glancing at it and placed it on the counter, saying, "Please keep it safe for me."

Zhu Youcai looked at Tang Qiwen, then at Wan Qiqi, and then at Wu Gousheng. He felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. He then carefully put the letter away.

Young Master Tang?

Is there a prominent family surnamed Tang in Yunhe County?

As he pondered, his fingers, which were resting on the abacus beads, flicked slightly, disrupting his previous calculations.

It's over, it's over!

He was roaring inside, no longer caring about what was happening at the counter, and was about to start recalculating the accounts.

Seeing Wan Qiqi's casual demeanor, Tang Qiwen clenched his teeth.

He had already read through the contents of the letter before sending it.

Even as he recalled what was on his mind, he gritted his teeth, wondering how this woman could be so nonchalant.

Wan Qiqi didn't need to read the letter to know what it said, because she had it written by someone else to lure Tang Qiwen over.

As for what he was thinking, it was all about provoking Tang Qiwen and figuring out how to deal with him.
