Chapter 704 Imprisoned in the Tang Mansion
"Miss, the master said it's not safe outside, please go back!"
The Tang family steward blocked Fang Luxue's way, preventing her from leaving.
Fang Luxue crossed her arms and coldly stared at the people blocking her way. "What do you mean? You won't let me out? You're imprisoning me?"
"That's not what I meant at all. It's just that Master gave the order, and we servants have no choice but to obey. Please don't make things difficult for me, Miss."
The butler said this while standing very straight, showing no intention of backing down.
"Instructions? Instructions for what? I'm just going out for a walk to clear my head, what danger could there be?"
Fang Luxue wanted to force her way in.
Unexpectedly, the other party didn't care at all and simply had several maids block the doorway, forming a human wall.
"Miss, please don't make things difficult for this old servant!" The steward's tone became a bit harsher.
Seeing this, Fang Luxue knew it was almost impossible to get out like this, so she changed her mind and said, "I want to eat at Xinglong Restaurant, go and buy it for me!"
"Miss, we have a cook in our house. What would you like to eat? We can have the small kitchen make it for you!" the butler said, bowing.
"You won't let me go out, fine, but now you're even restricting what I eat. Are you going to not let me leave my room at all tomorrow?"
Fang Luxue glared at the butler and raised her hand to slap him.
With a "slap," the butler's face immediately turned bright red.
However, the butler remained standing, saying, "Miss, please don't make things difficult for this old servant!"
Fang Luxue had never realized before how arrogant the steward of the Tang family was.
She was so angry that she stood there and stormed off, wanting to confront her uncle.
But thinking about it, I haven't found any clues about my father's death yet. If I make trouble with the Tang family now, I'll be the one who suffers.
She glanced at the housekeeper and said coldly, "You treat me like this just because I want something to eat? I'm going to tell my grandmother!"
Fang Luxue snorted coldly and turned to walk back.
As she walked into the corridor, she couldn't help but glance at the courtyard wall again.
I realize I seem to be trapped here!
She wondered to herself, "How is Sister Qi doing now? Is she alright?"
At this moment, Wan Qiqi is separated from Fang Luxue by only one wall.
Fang Luxue was stopped from leaving, while Wan Qiqi was blocked at the door and not allowed to enter.
"I'm sorry, but the Tang residence is currently closed to visitors!" the servant said coldly.
"Is it that you refuse to see guests? Or that you refuse to see me?" Wan Qiqi tilted her head.
The servant did not answer.
Wan Qiqi never expected that Tang Bingfeng would actually do such a thing!
After bringing the person back to the Tang family, they imprisoned him there.
They're just taking advantage of their family ties and having no one to stop them, so they can do whatever they want!
Since I can't see him openly, I have to find another way!
Wan Qiqi turned and left.
The servant was somewhat surprised. "They're leaving already?"
Although he didn't believe it, he didn't investigate further and simply stayed at his post.
An hour later, the woman who had left returned, this time with a man by her side.
The servant said coldly, "I have already said that the Tang family refuses..."
"Excuse me, I'm not a guest!" Wan Qiqi raised the food box in her hand. "The Tang family sent someone to Xinglong Restaurant half an hour ago to place an order. We're here to deliver the food!"
"You're talking nonsense! I didn't see anyone go out!" The servant didn't believe her, thinking that Wan Qiqi was bluffing.
"Believe it or not, it's up to you! If your master doesn't get what he wants to eat, who's responsible? I remember the person who ordered the food said it would be sent to the West Garden of the Tang Mansion..."
As Wan Qiqi spoke, she quietly looked at the servant.
"West Garden!" The servant was startled.
The West Garden was the old lady's residence.
If it really was an old woman who ordered from Xinglong Restaurant and you delayed delivering it, then that would be troublesome!
But he was also afraid that Wan Qiqi was playing tricks, and he was extremely conflicted.
"Oh, by the way, there's a bowl of dessert inside that needs to be refrigerated, otherwise it'll melt if left out too long!"
As Wan Qiqi spoke, a troubled look appeared on her face.
Seeing this, the servant finally wavered and said, "You wait at the door, I'll go ask!"
"Please!" Wan Qiqi smiled and gestured.
The servant cautiously opened the door, afraid that Wan Qiqi would rush in.
He was relieved only after he went inside and locked the door, and the other party did not make a sound.
Remembering Wan Qiqi's words, the servant felt they were true and immediately ran towards the West Garden.
West Garden.
Fang Luxue sat in Madam Tang's courtyard embroidering, appearing absent-minded.
The embroidery in her hands was even more indescribable.
Seeing this, Old Madam Tang sighed, "Xue'er, if your embroidery skills are like this, you'll only bring shame to your husband's family after you get married!"
Fang Luxue put down her embroidery and sat down next to Grandma Tang. "Grandma, I just want to go out for a walk and clear my head."
Madam Tang shook her head. "The Tang family garden isn't small either. You can just stroll around in the garden!"
"Grandma~" Fang Luxue tugged at Old Madam Tang's hand, pouting and clearly unwilling.
"Xue'er, listen to your grandmother!" Old Madam Tang patted Fang Luxue's hand. "The situation in Yunhe County is turbulent. Your father has passed away. The enemies you made in the past may not retaliate against you and your mother. Your uncle is doing this to protect your safety."
"Grandmother, you can send someone to follow me. I'm not going far!" Fang Luxue still refused.
"Xue girl, I thought you would be more sensible after your father passed away, but why are you still the same as before?"
Madam Tang's attitude was noticeably sterner than before, her tone carrying a hint of gentle reprimand.
Fang Luxue pursed her lips and said nothing more.
She sat down to the side and continued embroidering the unfinished piece.
The already messy embroidery was further ruined by her antics, becoming unrecognizable.
