Wan Ziyan pretended to think, a faint smile curving his lips. "I saw you eating the pancake the other day, and I want to try it."
Upon hearing this, Wan Qiqi turned her head and smiled, "Sir, you are so wealthy, yet you actually look down on the cakes I use to fill my stomach?"
Wan Ziyan took out a handkerchief, wiped the water off his hands, walked to the stall, tilted his head and asked, "What? Do you think I'm not good enough for your... cakes?"
"No, I was just worried that Mr. Wan might not be able to swallow it." Wan Qiqi said as she squatted down, found a clean cup, and made honey grapefruit tea for Wan Ziyan.
She had some doubts; was this person really the Master?
Why does he sound so frivolous, like a spoiled young master?
Wan Qiqi stood up, holding a bamboo cup, and was about to hand it over when someone took the cup from her.
Looking down, I saw a hand with calluses on its fingertips, the exposed skin appearing somewhat dark.
She let go, allowing that hand to snatch the bamboo cup.
"Young master, your sweet soup." Chen Yongnian stared intently at Wan Ziyan, the veins on the back of his hand holding the bamboo cup bulging.
Wan Ziyan frowned, seemingly displeased with the sudden appearance of the person. He still glanced at Wan Qiqi, as if asking her who this was.
Wan Qiqi could clearly sense that Chen Yongnian's mood was off; he seemed somewhat angry, and even hostile towards the person in front of him.
A sudden surge of curiosity arose in her heart, and she smiled and said, "Sir, this is my husband."
Wan Ziyan then turned his gaze to Chen Yongnian, looking the man up and down, his brows furrowing deeper and deeper.
This person was tall and thin, dark-skinned, and didn't seem very bright. Standing next to Qiqi, it was like the difference between a toad and a swan.
Is he Chen Yongnian? Qiqi's husband?
