He walked to the counter and asked, "Have you seen Manager Wan?"
"She seems to have something to do; she went out with Wu Gousheng." Liu Ji glanced at the water clock and said, "Manager Wan should be back soon!"
Wan Qiqi had said before leaving that she would be back in about an hour.
"Alright, you keep an eye on the restaurant for now. Report back to her when she gets back. I have some business to attend to and need to go out for a bit." Zhu Chengye's expression was slightly anxious.
Upon closer inspection, Liu Ji noticed that the shopkeeper had changed into an exquisite set of clothes, as if he were about to meet someone of high status.
He thought for a moment and quickly said, "Manager, you go ahead! I'll take care of the restaurant."
Zhu Chengye didn't say much, went out, got into the prepared carriage, and drove away from the restaurant.
The carriage drove through bustling streets and alleys before finally entering a deserted alley.
Although there was no one in the alley at the moment, the houses on both sides were neat and tidy, with green tiles and blue bricks, unlike ordinary residential areas.
Zhu Chengye dismounted from the carriage, walked to the front of the courtyard, and knocked on the gate.
A moment later, the door opened and a man dressed in black came out.
Zhu Chengye bowed respectfully to the other party and said with a smile, "Officer Liang, it's been a long time."
Liang Pengfei looked Zhu Chengye up and down, a hint of surprise in his eyes. "Manager Zhu, how did you know I was back?"

He opened the door and said, "Come in and have a seat. My mother just warmed a pot of fine wine. Manager Zhu, please enjoy it with us."
"Then I shall respectfully accept your offer. Thank you very much, Officer Liang!" Zhu Chengye walked into the courtyard.
The courtyard gate was immediately closed.
