Chapter 24 Independent Hunting

Chapter 24 Independent Hunting

Gu Zheng did not follow. He found a small pit to hide in and observed.

This was He Jing's first time hunting completely independently.

He needed to let go so that the kitten could grow up quickly. This little antelope was not tall and its horns were not long, which was just right.

He Jing emerged silently from the grass and appeared behind the tree.

The mountain antelope seemed to have discovered something and looked up.

There were occasional bird calls in the distance, and all around me was the rustling of leaves in the wind. I didn't notice anything.

He Jing held his breath, his eyes hidden behind layers of grass.

The antelope lowered its head and continued to eat.

At that moment! He Jing leaped forward and bit its neck accurately, his two front paws firmly grasping its back.

The antelope was pounced on the soft grass!

Her limbs struggled, but she could only kick up circles of air. He Jing observed her surroundings as the other antelopes scattered and fled. She held on tightly until the struggle beneath her subsided, then she slowly let go.

"I succeeded!" He Jing raised his head excitedly and looked back at Gu Zheng!

Gu Zheng walked over and patted the kitten's head, "Yeah! Great!"

He Jing tilted his head and rubbed it, then happily jumped off the antelope. This was his first time hunting! I really want to record it! Share it on WeChat Moments~

"Ding! 058 is here! Xiao He's heroic and handsome hunting process has been recorded! Automatically captured the handsome photos. Do you want to share them on Xunwang?"

He Jing blushed. What's going on with this 058? "No, no, no!"

"Huh? Did 058 sense it wrongly?"

"Wrong, wrong!"

"Send it to me."

"Um???"

"Replay."

"oh oh!"

"Review~" Gu Zheng glanced over, and 058 immediately became serious: "Okay, General Gu, it has been transmitted."

"Let the blood drain first, then move to another place."

He Jing nodded obediently and bit its neck like Gu Zheng did before, and blood immediately splattered out.

Gu Zheng quickly moved to pull He Jing aside, "If you don't want to get hurt, hide quickly."

He Jing nodded obediently again!

The two men dragged the little antelope to the river. He Jing really couldn't eat raw meat, so he finally chose to roast it.

He Jing was looking for wood nearby, and the kitten's singing could be heard intermittently, and it was obvious that the kitten was really happy.

Gu Zheng was dealing with it by the river, and the sounds of flowing water and wind in his ears became the background music.

The river water at noon was very dazzling. There were rocks nearby that had been hit by water. A few steps away was a small waterfall, and the stream rushed down from there.

The waterfall is very small, and the stream loses its momentum and slows down when it reaches the front.

This is safe, and if the kitten wants to catch fish in the afternoon, that's fine.

There are some grass, wild chrysanthemums and some unknown small flowers scattered in the cracks of the rocks.

He Jing found a flat stone and piled the branches he had found on it.

Then he ran around on the stones by the stream.

"Is this... forsythia?" He Jing couldn't believe it. She looked at the small bunch of yellow flowers growing out of the cracks in the rocks and marveled at the magic of this place again.

Surrounded by tall trees, it wasn't too hot even though it was midday.

The kitten ran around for a while like a treasure hunter, and then returned to the fire. She was really hungry.

Gu Zheng started grilling.

The aroma of meat gradually came, and He Jing started to swallow his saliva.

Gu Zhengxuan handed over the next piece of meat, and He Jing quickly took it.

He blew on it and ate it with a loud noise.

He Jing had finished most of her meal before she knew it. Gu Zheng, who had been grilling and chopping meat beside her, stopped and asked, "Are you full?"

He Jing nodded shyly.

"Don't think you can stop eating just because you've eaten too much. Eat until you're full, or you'll be hungry soon."

He Jing held his face and rubbed it for a while, "Then give it a little more!"

Gu Zheng chuckled and handed the meat in his hand over.

Finally, He Jing really couldn't eat anymore. She lay down in shock, holding her stomach.

Although this antelope wasn't big, it was still much bigger than He Jing, and she actually ate most of it! !

Shocked!!

Fortunately, I learned how to hunt, otherwise I would have starved to death! >︿<

After eating, she began to feel sleepy. She struggled and said to Gu Zheng, "I'm going to sleep. You don't have to watch over me. You go about your business. 058 will wake me up..."

He Jing thought that he might not be a pig!

Gu Zheng finished the rest and looked at the sleeping kitten while silently evaluating it in his mind.

It seemed to have grown a little bit, almost reaching his chest.

Hesitation flashed across his face. "058, if there's danger, wake her up and contact me."

"Okay, General Gu."

Gu Zheng caught an adult bushbuck nearby and left one leg for He Jing.

In the past two days, all departments have completely stabilized and returned to normal.

He Jing didn't sleep for long. When he woke up, Gu Zheng had not returned yet.

She felt that this was as it should be, and no one could always be protected by others.

She likes the current situation. The wilderness has dangers but also vitality.

There is no confusion, no boredom, no past, and no need to think about the future.

Nature has its own pace.

But once I leave here, all of this will come to me. Suddenly I remembered Gu Zheng’s proposal and didn’t know what to decide.

She followed the stream to the waterfall, the sound of the falling water filling her head.

A fragrance wafted over, and a head popped out of the river.

"Huh?" He Jing looked over and screamed, "Such a big rat?!"

"You are the mouse!! I am a beaver! Beaver!!" A beautiful female voice came out.

"Are you a forest cat? I wonder why I smell the admiral's scent on you?"

He Jing nodded. "Is the general you are talking about General Gu Zheng?"

"Yes! Do you know him? Have you been hanging out with him these days? No wonder you smell like him." The beaver floated over from the water, climbed ashore nimbly and shook off its fur.

He Jing thought it was so cute and couldn't help teasing it: "What, aren't you afraid that I will eat you?"

“???”

He Jing's hand stopped in mid-air, and his reaction to it was a little strange.

"Are you an illegal? The Federation has clear regulations prohibiting the taking of human lives. Even when high-ranking individuals are in beast form, they are still subject to its constraints and protection."

He Jing took his hand back and touched his nose awkwardly: "Just kidding, just kidding..."

"Hello, my name is He Xiangyi, a level A beaver." He Xiangyi didn't care and began to introduce herself.

"Hello, my name is He Jing, I don't know my rank, I'm a forest cat."

One big claw and one small claw clenched each other.

Then the big and the small stretched themselves out on the rocks to bask in the sun.

"So what is your relationship with General Gu?"

"Friends?"

"Why are you still unsure?"

"...We haven't discussed it." He Jing paused and said seriously, "But I think so."

"That's it."

"How do you know Gu Zheng?" Kitty asked curiously.

"You're calling each other by name, but we're still friends." He Xiangyi said with a smile, "We graduated from the same military academy, but I was a few years younger than him. After graduation, I joined the Third Division. I'm very good at water-related reconnaissance operations~"

The beaver raised his chin proudly towards the kitten.
