Chapter 108 Silkworm

"Tangtang, look, is this a silkworm?" Haitang looked at Dongfanglong. "I saw one yesterday, but I don't know if it is... I need to take it back, these things are too fragile,"

“It’s a silkworm,” Haitang had told Dongfang Long about silkworms, mulberry leaves, and the existence of silkworm beastmen in the world. So after Haitang asked him about it, Dongfang Long brought people to see it as soon as he found it.

When Haitang saw this, she became a little happy. Then she heard a noise below. A wild boar was digging in the soil under the tree. When Dongfang Long saw this, he took his bow and arrow and shot it.

Dongfang Long dared to bring Haitang here because he had the ability to carry her. The first arrow hit its mark, but the injury wasn't serious. Dongfang Long immediately shot a second arrow, this time hitting the boar directly in the eye. The boar quickly fell to the ground.

"Tangtang, what are you planning to do with this?" Upon hearing this, Haitang nodded. It was a bit troublesome, so in the end she could only pick the leaves and put the silkworms and mulberry leaves in the basket.

After doing quite a bit, Dongfang Long took Haitang downstairs and then led her inside. Haitang followed Dongfang Long, who would sometimes carry her in a basket. When Haitang looked at a place, she would look at Dongfang Long and ask him to climb in. Haitang nodded and climbed in.

Dongfang Long quickly crawled inside. "Ginseng..." Haitang was stunned. It was a ginseng. Dongfang Long nodded.

"Well, didn't you say that this thing should be dug up carefully? I felt that I might damage it, so I brought Tangtang with me." Hearing this, Haitang nodded in agreement. This ginseng was a bit small, but it was still several hundred years old.

Haitang started digging; there were several here. "They're clustered together," Haitang looked around. It was a nest; there must have been animals there at first.

"This was a fox's den, but I chased after it and the fox ran away. Then I found the ginseng. But the fox probably won't come back." Foxes are very cunning. Once you leave your scent, the other fox won't come back.

Haitang nodded, then noticed movement in the haystack not far away. Dongfanglong immediately ran over to check, and when he lifted it up, he found a small white creature.

Not only that, but there was also a bloody smell. Dongfang Long lifted the lid and looked inside, and found that another wolf cub was dead. It must have been eaten. The fox had stolen someone else's cub to fill its stomach, and now there was only one left.

The little creature was a wolf. It looked thin and hadn't eaten for several days. Its white fur looked wrinkled. It must have been born only about half a month ago before being brought here.

When Haitang looked at the white wolf, she found it was alive, so she carried it back. She also dug up the ginseng. Dongfanglong then carried Haitang down the mountain. When they got down the mountain, the wild boar was gone.

Dongfang Long couldn't help but frown. He squatted down to examine the footprints, his brow furrowing in displeasure at having his prey stolen by another beast.

But his wife in his arms was more important, so he carried her back to the carriage. Haitang sat in the carriage and saw Dongfang Long reach out and grab her. "You just said it was a wild tiger that carried it away, so why did you chase after it?"

"But it stole my meat," Dongfang Long said unhappily. Haitang immediately hit him with a hammer, told him to get in the car, and drove back.

"Then we can only let it go," Haitang said. Hearing this, Dongfang Long sighed. Fortunately, the bow and arrow had been put down. On the way back, Haitang gave the little white wolf honey.

The little white wolf groggily opened its eyes, looking at Haitang with a hint of fear. It opened its mouth to bite, but unexpectedly bit Dongfang Long's hand instead. "That beast Tangtang has become aggressive; let's just throw her away,"

Wolf cubs around two weeks old usually exhibit aggressiveness, and he was worried. Hearing this, Haitang looked at Dongfang Long's hand and quickly applied medicine to disinfect it. "No, we finally found them; they'll be fine after some training,"

Moreover, the little white wolf looked good and handsome, and Haitang couldn't bear to lose it. Of course, she also couldn't bear to give it to the tribe. Upon hearing this, Dongfanglong looked at the little white wolf with a dangerous look in his eyes, and the little white wolf immediately trembled. Erha walked over and protected the little wolf cub.

The little wolf cub immediately nestled in the husky's arms, looking at the two of them with fear. Haitang couldn't help but smile. "Don't worry, Little Dragon won't bully it,"

The husky relaxed and then nuzzled the white wolf's body with its head, howling a few times, almost like a conversation. The white wolf looked at the two of them without speaking, but it also lost much of its aggressiveness.

Haitang breathed a sigh of relief, got some water for the little white wolf, and after drinking it and eating some paste, the little white wolf fell into a drowsy sleep.

Today's outing was fruitful; we got several ginseng roots, which will be valuable. After drying the crabapple, we plan to keep them for those who come to save their lives. We also gave one to Xingxing and Yueyue.

From her previous life, Haitang still has a lot left over. Since Dongfanglong can transform into a beast, no one will eat that stuff. However, Haitang didn't leave it at Shi Hu's house. Instead, she gave some to him and kept the rest with her.

Ginseng is a life-saving treasure. It is the best way to keep someone alive when they are on their last breath. After drying the ginseng, Haitang started to have the silkworms spread out in the warehouse not far away.

The silkworms were happily munching on mulberry leaves, completely unaware that they had moved their nest, as Dongfang Long observed. "What's the use of these things?" he asked.

"It's for weaving. We won't need to go out to exchange fabric anymore, and we can even let others come here to exchange it," Haitang said. Upon hearing this, Dongfang Long immediately became happy.
