Chapter 185 The Eve of the Storm

When Haitang came from the other side, looking at the mountains in front of her, the other person was smiling, but that smile was tinged with sadness. Haitang had just heard those words.

Perhaps the other party felt it was desolate. The Tiger Tribe did tell the child these things, but these things were also the truth. The reason why humans could not transform into beastmen was because their food conditions were not as good as those of beastmen.

It was because this matter was exposed that many orcs felt some pity for humans, especially for their own brothers. In the orc circle of the Tiger Tribe, who didn't have human brothers? Although they weren't close, none of them had the heart to eat each other.

However, Haitang herself didn't know why other tribes had evolved into the image of demons in the eyes of all the slave races before her. When Haitang looked at the mountains, she wondered, "Why aren't you eating?"

Upon hearing this, Da Shan looked at Hai Tang and said, "I remember your Holy Maiden here. It seems many people respect you." Then, looking at Hai Tang, Da Shan asked, "Then tell me? What's the point of keeping us around?"

"We need you to do the work; we need manpower and resources," Haitang said. "And you are all excellent laborers." Haitang explained that the Tiger Clan tribe needed these laborers.

In the current orc community of the Tiger Clan, they are almost all supported by humans, while the orcs protect the humans. When he heard this, Da Shan looked at Hai Tang.

Looking at the crabapple tree, he said, "Aren't you afraid of raising a tiger that will turn on you? What if something happens to us one day?"

“Don’t worry, nothing will happen to you. Besides, I believe that sincerity can be reciprocated. All you want is to have enough to eat and wear. We’ve given you enough to eat and wear, so why are you still making a fuss?” Haitang said directly.

In this era, unlike modern times, almost everyone thinks that they want to enjoy a good life, quit their jobs if they are not happy, and not want to live if life is not good. In this era, everyone wants to live and tries very hard to live.

Upon hearing this, Da Shan fell silent. After being starved for nearly seven days, Da Shan was sent to the breeding farm and ranch of the rebel army. Everyone there had a bad feeling about Da Shan.

After feeding me water, he sighed again, "Brother Dashan is really stubborn. We've been here for several days and he doesn't feel anything is wrong."

"That's right, the work isn't tiring, and we have food all day long. It's much better than when I was in the rebel army and as a slave." They were all children who had suffered hardships, and looking at Da Shan, they couldn't understand why he was like this.

When Dashan woke up, he heard noises outside. People were working, digging in the cleaned area to loosen the soil. Under these circumstances, the people around him worked very hard.

After finishing our work, we sat down to eat a short distance away. There was no way to distribute the food; everyone took their own portion. While eating, we reached out and touched our stomachs. It was incredibly comfortable.

After everyone had eaten, they lay down on straw mats not far away and went to sleep. When Da Shan came out, some of the rebel soldiers saw him and said, "Brother Da Shan, you're awake. Want something to eat?"

"Are you all alright here?" Da Shan asked as he looked around. The rebels smiled and nodded.

“Very good, we are all doing well. The injured have had their wounds bandaged, and we don’t have to worry about going hungry. The more we work, the more we earn. As long as we work, we will have food. This is for you, Brother Dashan.”

"Eat up, Brother Dashan, you'll starve if you don't eat." Hearing this, Dashan nodded and sat down to eat, glancing at the distance as he ate.

"It seems you're all doing well." In just three or four days, the lifeless look on everyone's faces has disappeared.

The Tiger Tribe was adept at winning people's hearts. Upon hearing this, the Human Rebellion Army smiled and said, "By the way, Brother Dashan, you don't know, but the beastmen from the Sheep Tribe live next door."

"The orcs of the Sheep Tribe?" Da Shan was slightly taken aback when he heard this. "Yes, they are the orcs of the Sheep Tribe. The food we eat is given to us by the females of the Sheep Tribe. I heard they have been here for three winters."

"Have they ever lost any men?" Da Shan asked upon hearing this, and the rebels immediately shook their heads.

"No, they're all here. Their leader is a man named Yang Ming. When they came, they were all prepared to risk their lives to survive, but now that's no longer necessary. As long as they hand over what they grow and raise, they can live, and there's plenty to eat," said the human rebels. "Most importantly, this tribe really doesn't have to worry about being eaten. Even the orcs of other sheep tribes don't worry, so why should we humans?"

Upon hearing this, Da Shan fell silent. He then began to work, though he wanted to run away, but he also kept an eye on the people outside, the people from the Sheep Tribe.

The people of the sheep tribe were not exactly polite to the rebels, but they didn't hate them either. They were all in the same boat, and none of them were any better off than the other.

Under these circumstances, Da Shan learned from the sheep tribe that the tribe's custom was to love raising and planting things.

"What are you going to do?" Da Shan asked as the rebel army was about to leave.

"We're going to harvest wheat. I heard it's edible. The orc legion escorted us to collect it. It can be used to make noodles and for winter storage." Hearing this, Dashan went along.

While following along, Da Shan wondered if he was afraid his men would run away. He quickly realized that there was no need to be afraid. Every member of the rebel army was eating very well, almost like they were in paradise. Anyone who ran away would be a fool.
