Chapter 251 The Fox Beastman's Work

Dongfang Chen didn't want Dongfang Meng to harbor resentment towards Haitang because of him. Upon hearing this, Dongfang Meng pouted and lowered her head, "Well, I have my brother anyway."

Although Dongfang Meng was close to Haitang, she had become even closer to her older brother, Dongfang Chen, since he had been taking care of her these past few days. She felt that as long as her brother was there, it didn't matter whether her mother was there or not.

Upon hearing this, Dongfang Chen couldn't help but laugh. He hugged his younger sister and sighed. The problem was that he wanted his mother. Actually, after thinking about it for a while, Dongfang Chen quickly understood.

Compared to Dongfang Meng, she was fortunate. Her sister had never even seen her father's face, but she had been raised by her father himself, even though it was sometimes painful.

For example, the fact that he transformed into a beast still made him feel warm, while his sister... had never seen their father since she was a child, and she rarely saw her mother either.

Thinking of this, Dongfang Chen felt even more sorry for his younger sister. When he returned, he found Haitang wiping away tears in her room, and Dongfang Chen felt heartbroken when he saw it.

Haitang was also a little sad. She wanted Dongfanglong to come back, but he couldn't come back for a while. She wanted to be a good mother, but she found that she couldn't do it at all.

Seeing the disappointment in Dongfang Chen's eyes made Haitang feel like a failure. She couldn't even protect her son, and seeing him with that expression made her feel like a terrible mother.

Seeing Haitang crying, Dongfang Chen ran in and hugged her. Haitang stared at Dongfang Chen, stunned. "Mom, I'm not angry anymore, really..." Hearing this, Haitang looked at Dongfang Chen and said, "Mom, please come back soon. I know I'm being willful. I just... want to be with you."

Hearing this, Haitang hugged Dongfang Chen and said, "Yes, Mommy knows you're the best." Haitang said, "You're the most obedient baby."

Dongfang Chen hugged Haitang and cried. He missed his father and didn't want his mother to leave at any time. For Dongfang Chen, his mother was everything.

Haitang and Dongfang Chen reconciled. Dongfang Chen is a very sensible child. He understands Haitang's pain and difficulties as a mother, so he tries his best to understand her.

On that day, Haitang stayed home with her child, and the next day she went to see Xiaohe. When Xiaohe looked at Haitang, she asked, "Sister... how have you been these days?"

"It's alright." Haitang nodded and said, "Although your brother-in-law isn't here, which makes me a little tired, it's not a big deal. By the way... how's Xiaolu doing?" Haitang asked.

"You mean Xiao Ye? She's recovered these days and got married last year to a beastman from the tribe." Xiao He said, looking at Haitang. "She's doing well now, but her health isn't great, so she avoids going out in the winter."

Xiao Ye is Xiao Lu's younger sister. After returning, Xiao He helped her recover. When she went to deliver food to Xiao Lu before, she met the orcs of this legion. They fell in love and got married immediately.

Haitang was a little taken aback by this turn of events; it was all too fast. They were getting married so quickly, though things were fast in modern times too.

In the past, blind dates and marriages could be completed in just a few days, and in this day and age, it goes without saying that it can be even more so.

Little Deer returned carrying things, and when she saw Haitang, she said, "Sister is here too." She immediately added coal to the stove for Haitang and prepared some food for her.

"I won't eat. I still have several children at home." Haitang shook her head and went back to see the children instead of sitting down to eat.

Haitang occasionally goes outside, sometimes editing books. The books are being revised, and several teachers have provided a lot of help.

They excelled in mathematics, while culinary arts and medicine were their most studied subjects. Fewer people studied mathematics, but many were still interested in it.

Haitang added some things to these books, and of course, she also found someone to help her with the editing. After Haitang finished editing, she sent them to be printed.

After Haitang finished making the food, she hugged Dongfang Meng and watched the other two children tell stories to the group.

The children all liked to listen to the story of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Of course, Dongfang Meng, being a girl, couldn't understand it because she was too young, and the other two boys didn't understand it very well either.

However, as Haitang vividly recounted her story, both children listened with wide eyes, as if afraid of missing any exciting details.

"Mom, what happened after the straw boats were used to borrow arrows?" Dongfang Chen asked, looking at Haitang. Haitang handed the book to Dongfang Chen, who blinked.

"You'll have to read it yourself. After you've read it, Mom will tell you a story," Haitang said, looking at Dongfang Chen. Dongfang Chen glanced at the book in his hand.

"Okay, I understand." Then she ran with Dongfang Meng to read a book not far away. Haitang hugged Dongfang Meng and said, "Let's go take a bath with Mom."

"Mom, I want to take a bath too," Dongfang Chen said, turning around. Haitang looked at Dongfang Chen.

"You're a man now, you should take a bath with your little brother, be good... Wait until Mom and Xiaomeng are done bathing, then you can come and bathe." Haitang said, looking at Dongfang Chen. "Also, you're a boy, you can't just casually say things like you want to bathe with girls."

Upon hearing this, Dongfang Chen couldn't help but nod, then pouted and went to read a book with the mermaid baby not far away. The mermaid baby was very obedient, learning everything from her brother.
