"Yes, it's only really useful when it can injure the eyes, but... it's not easy to shoot into the eyes, but it's still a good deterrent." Shi Hu nodded when he heard this.
Upon hearing this, Dongfang Long glanced at his waist. "If only we had this iron. It's sharp and hard, and should be able to pierce through the body of our prey, making our hunt much easier." Looking at the stone tiger in front of him, Dongfang Long sighed, "But there's so little of this stuff."
"Yeah, you only have one, so you'd better be careful." Shi Hu said immediately when he saw Dongfang Long. He also liked the knife in Dongfang Long's hand, but... well, he could transform into a beast, so he didn't want to waste any more words.
Upon hearing this, Dongfang Long nodded, glanced at the knife and then at the bamboo, and obediently got to work, using a stone tool to sharpen it.
Dongfang Long was reluctant to use his own knife; it was the best thing to use in dangerous situations.
Haitang made something delicious today: stewed pork with soybeans. She also cooked rice while it was cooking.
Haitang also changed her cooking method, making clay pot rice, one pot for one person. Clay pot rice is delicious, and Haitang made several pots.
We have porcelain pots at home, so one pot is enough for each person. When it's done, we just serve it up. There are chicken pots and other flavored ones.
As the food was being served, Dongfang Long and the others washed their hands, ready to eat. Upon sitting down, they looked at the food and exclaimed, "It smells so good..."
The rice was pre-crushed by Haitang, but even in that state, it was similar to modern rice. The clay pot rice was delicious, and Dongfang Long's eyes lit up as he ate it. Haitang also made some sweet and sour drinks for the group.
These were all the original fruits, stored in the cellar. They weren't spoiled when they were taken out, and eating them together under these conditions made them taste incredibly delicious.
Shi Hu, being a father, naturally couldn't tolerate people who only wanted sweet and sour food, so he started drinking. There was plenty of rice, including stewed pork with soybeans, and everyone ate heartily.
Haitang prepared different flavors for each person. Dongfanglong's was spicy, Xiaohe's was non-spicy, and Xiaolu and the others were about the same. Dongfanglong's bowl and chopsticks were the spiciest, but of course Haitang wouldn't let them get sick.
In this situation, I also prepared some herbs for him, a kind of herbal tea... intending for him to drink it at night to avoid getting too hot.
"It's delicious, I'll make it again next time." Dongfang Long said while they were eating. When Haitang looked at Dongfang Long, she immediately realized that she had been thinking wildly.
With his childish nature, Dongfang Long was hardly suited to find a female. He needed to be taken care of himself. Haitang took a towel and wiped the corner of his mouth. Dongfang Long blushed and lowered his head to start eating.
"Don't get too close," Haitang said to Dongfang Long. Dongfang Long nodded and started eating. Shi Hu blinked.
Something felt off. This situation... seemed familiar, but I couldn't quite place it. I shook my head. I guess I'd had too much to drink. Haitang had made me a clay pot rice dish with Chinese sausage, and I'd had a few too many drinks after the snow.
After everyone had eaten, Haitang started clearing away the dishes and washing them. Everyone ate very cleanly. Xiaohe took a few pancakes and went to find Xiaolu, whose room was a cubicle.
Next door, when she ran out to get some fresh air, she said, "Here..." and handed the pancake to Xiaolu. Xiaolu was slightly taken aback. "I saw it. You scooped a lot of food for my brother. Although they are growing, I won't let them go hungry, so you don't need to give them any."
Today, Xingxing and Yueyue thought the food was delicious and wanted to eat more. Xiaolu's food was served later, so we gave the two brothers about half of it. Xiaohe just watched without saying anything.
Upon hearing this, the little deer lowered its head and said, "I'm sorry, I..." The little deer looked at Xingxing and Yueyue with longing eyes and felt that it was right to give them what their master had given them.
“I’m not blaming you, but… don’t starve yourself. Don’t worry… my sister makes food in moderation, according to our appetites. If you only eat half, you’ll definitely be hungry at night. These pancakes were made by my sister and are still warm in the kitchen. Take them and eat them.”
Saying that, she ran back. Haitang looked at Xiaohe and asked, "Why did you run out?" When Haitang looked at Xiaohe's face, she couldn't help but hug her. It was cool. "Don't go out if you don't have anything to do, or you'll easily get a fever."
"Yes, I understand, sister." Xiaohe nodded. Haitang told Xiaohe to go to her room and not to come to the kitchen often, as it was well-ventilated. Xiaohe was even weaker than her, and among the family members, she was the least healthy.
Xiaohe went back, and Haitang packed her things. She looked in the kitchen and noticed a few pancakes were missing; it seemed Xiaohe had taken them out. She glanced at the room not far away, "That girl..."
Haitang shook her head and got up. After tidying up, she closed the door and got up. The two little wolves were sleeping in the deer's room, leaning against the deer. While the deer was eating, it rubbed the husky's head.
"Xiaohe is such a good girl." While eating, he felt something was off, but quickly shook his head, telling himself not to overthink it. He couldn't do what Dongfang Long did.
Xiao Lu wasn't stupid, yet she worried about this family. Dongfang Long's thoughts were obvious; he saw everything clearly. The problem was that no one in the family understood.
Whether it's Haitang or not, she's usually clever but doesn't understand at all. Dongfang Long's mind is solely focused on sleeping with her, while Shi Hu... is sometimes a bit dim-witted and doesn't think there's anything wrong with their relationship.
