Chapter 2 Collecting Interest
It's not that Qiao Mo didn't think about resisting, but going to the countryside was an established fact. If she regretted it, she would be a deserter, which would have no effect on her future work and life.
As for the fact that Qiao Dong took over her job, it was obvious that Qiao Chenglin bribed the key people. She would have to pay a lot to turn the tables. If she offended those people, she would not be able to move forward even if she entered the factory. She wanted to exchange it for money, but she would be going to the countryside in two days and would not have time to make any moves. Therefore, it would be better for her to use this as a handle to negotiate with Qiao Chenglin and strive for the greatest benefits.
Thinking of this, she got up from the bed, stretched, washed up, and went to the kitchen to find something to eat.
The pot was spotless and there was no rice left for her, so she took two eggs from the kitchen cupboard without hesitation, opened the door of the honeycomb coal stove, and waited for the fire to come up. She put the pot on the stove, added water, oil and salt, and when the water boiled, she beat the eggs in. After a while, the poached eggs were cooked.
"It's so delicious! I haven't had such delicious fried eggs in a long time." Qiao Mo ate two eggs in a few bites, drank the soup in small sips, washed the dishes, and went to bed after washing up. She wanted to plan how to arrange her future life.
But her eyelids were drooping and she fell asleep before she could realize what was happening.
"Qiao Mo, why haven't you gotten up to cook yet? Do you want to starve us to death? Hurry up!" A rough voice woke Qiao Mo up. When she opened her eyes, she saw a mean face. She recognized that it was the original owner's cousin Qiao Hong, but ignored her. Instead, she turned her head and looked out the window. The dazzling sunlight was gone, and it seemed that the sun had set.
"Get up quickly, or I'll take action." Qiao Hong roughly pulled off the sheet covering her stomach and said viciously.
"I'm not your servant, why do you want me to cook?" Looking at this vicious face, hatred was like spring weeds, quickly growing all over Qiao Mo's heart. She knew that this was the original owner's emotion, but she didn't intend to restrain herself, so she raised her leg and kicked Qiao Hong, and she fell heavily to the ground.
"Ouch, it hurts so much, Qiao Mo, you dare to hit me, you don't want to live anymore." Qiao Hong covered her painful tailbone with one hand and supported herself on the ground with the other hand. She stood up with difficulty, and then pounced on Qiao Mo like a madman.
But before she could jump to the bed, Qiao Mo, who had already stood up, kicked her hard in the stomach. She stuck to the wall like a kite with a broken string, and then slid down from the wall.
Qiao Mo jumped off the bed, walked over, grabbed her hair, and punched her hard in the chest and stomach several times, making her scream miserably: "Qiao Hong, I've tolerated you for a long time. I was just worried that I had no chance, but I didn't expect you to come to me. I'm just asking for some interest."
"Help, help, Dad, Mom, Qiao Mo is going to kill someone." Qiao Hong cried out for help, her eyes full of hatred as she looked at Qiao Mo. "You eat our food and wear our clothes, so what's wrong with asking you to do some housework?"
A little girl who lives under someone else's roof dares to hit her. She is so bold. She has parents and brothers. If she dares to hit me, she should be prepared to be beaten to death or disabled.
"I only have 35 yuan a month for living expenses, but I eat and wear your family's clothes. Should we go to the neighborhood committee and complain? Do you think I am living a life of luxury in this family? I give you so much money, but I still need subsidies from your family?" Qiao Mo laughed in anger.
