Chapter 42 Hunting
"We are together and must not separate." Han Yimo said seriously, "There are many unknown dangers in this mountain. We can't be careless."
"I know, it's just to avoid any eventuality. After all, when traveling deep in the mountains, accidents are inevitable." Qiao Mo nodded. She certainly didn't want to part with them, so she had to consider everything carefully.
"Mo Mo is right. Just in case, we should not only carry water but also dry food." Kang Mingyuan felt that what Qiao Mo said made sense, so they decided to carry their own water bottles and divide the dry food into three parts, with each person taking one part.
After eating and drinking, they began to look for prey. The three of them moved slowly in the woods and soon found their target: they heard the call of pheasants.
Everyone smiled at each other, then quietly sneaked in that direction.
"There are five pheasants, and we can't let any of them go." Qiao Mo had already seen five pheasants pecking at food there.
Such a small creature didn't need a bow and arrow, so she didn't take it off. Instead, she picked up a few stones from the ground. Seeing that the distance was about right, when Kang Mingyuan shot the first arrow, she quickly threw a few stones, and the five pheasants fell down one after another.

Han Yimo happily picked up all the pheasants. They were not dead, just knocked unconscious. He cut some straw, tied up the chicken wings and feet, and then put them in his backpack.
"It would be nice if I could come across a roe deer, or a lone wild boar would be nice too." Han Yimo said dreamily.
"It's possible for roe deer, but it's difficult for a lone wild boar." Kang Mingyuan said lightly. Wild boars are social animals and rarely live alone.
"Is there a water source nearby? Animals should drink water in the morning, right?" Qiao Mo asked.
"There is water in the valley ahead, but we don't know if animals need to drink water after getting up like humans." Han Yimu said with a smile.
"Whether they drink water or not, let's go over and take a look." Kang Mingyuan said with a chuckle.
No one had any objection, so the three of them headed all the way over there. Before they reached the valley, they found a roe deer.
"Brother Han, now your wish has come true." Qiao Mo said to Han Yimo.
"With your good wishes, Brother Yuan, leave this roe deer to me." After saying that, Han Yimo took out his bow and arrow, and then he took aim, drew the bow, and shot the arrow in one go. With the sound of the arrow breaking through the air, the roe deer fell to the ground.
The roe deer was not dead, but its legs were nailed to the tree next to it by Han Yima's arrow, so it couldn't run away.
"Brother Han, you are the one." Qiao Mo knew that they all had martial arts skills, but he didn't expect that his archery skills were so good.
"It's not as good as Mo Mo's magical power of stones." Han Yimi said with a smile.
