Chapter 464: Going to Fight the Bad Guys (2/2)

It was Saturday again. After class, Qiao Mo followed Kang Mingyuan to the Kang family's old house.

"Grandpa, grandma, we're here." Kang Mingyuan shouted loudly as he approached the house.

"Mingyuan, is Qiao Mo here? Come in quickly." The old lady heard her grandson's voice and quickly responded, and was about to stand up to open the door for them.

"Uncle, aunt." But before she could stand up, Xiaojun and Xiaoliang ran out.

"Xiaojun, Xiaoliang, when will you come?" Kang Mingyuan saw his two little nephews running towards them, he opened his arms and hugged them one in each hand.

"We came here yesterday and will stay with our great-grandfather." Xiaojun replied quickly.

"Aren't you going to school anymore?"

"Grandpa helped me transfer to this school."

"Where are Mom and Dad?" Kang Mingyuan had a bad feeling.

"Dad is leading the troops to fight the bad guys. Mom is the team doctor and she is also going with them." Xiaojun's face wrinkled up. He knew that fighting the bad guys would also involve sacrifices. He hoped that his parents and uncles could come back safely.

"Be good, Xiaojun. Mom, Dad, and the uncles will all be back safely." Kang Mingyuan comforted him dryly. He had already explained all the precautions to them, and they had also learned Vietnamese Mandarin for a period of time at his suggestion. He hoped that these would be of some help to them.

"Yeah." Xiaojun nodded seriously.

"It's cold outside, let's go." Kang Mingyuan picked up one of them in each hand and went into the house.

At this time, Mrs. Wu had already prepared the meal, but everyone found it tasteless.

"Grandpa, grandma, Xiaojun and Xiaoliang are at home now. Can you take care of them?" After dinner, Kang Mingyuan sat on the sofa in the main room and asked the old man and the old lady, "How about we move in?"

"Xiaojun and Xiaoliang are both very well behaved. We can take care of them. You don't have to move in." The old lady shook her head. If the couple moved in, it would not be of much help to the family except for causing them trouble and affecting their studies.

When they come to live here, they have to go out at seven in the morning at the latest and don't come home until dark in the afternoon. Apart from sleeping at home, they can hardly help with anything else. Besides, there are servants, guards and drivers at home, so there is no need for them to work hard.

Kang Mingyuan thought about it and realized that they really couldn't help much in the future, so he had to write down the Wu family's phone number in the family phone book and told his family to call them if there was anything.

"You don't have to worry too much. We all survived the war. Your grandmother has been a military wife for dozens of times and knows how to deal with what's next." Grandpa Kang patted him on the shoulder and said.

"I know, and I believe they will all come back safely." Kang Mingyuan nodded. He felt a little more resentment towards Ji Ying in his heart. If she hadn't been such a shameless person, his grandparents wouldn't have to worry about the safety of their children and grandchildren and at the same time have to take on the responsibility of raising two grandchildren.

"I believe them too." The old man nodded.

That night, they stayed in the house with the elderly and children until they had rested before returning to their own rooms.
