Chapter 10: Crossing

Su Xia was carrying the fruits, vegetables, and milk powder she bought for her mother, and she went in as soon as she turned the key.

The mother looked surprised and said, "My daughter, why didn't you tell me you were coming back? I'll buy you something delicious."

"The case is over. I'll take a two-day break and come back to see you. Aunt Pei, Aunt Sun, hello."

"Your mother is so excited when you come back," the two aunts said jokingly.

Su Xia called her mother and said, "You guys chat while I wash the fruit."

Su Xia's mother has met a group of like-minded friends in recent years, and she has to come over every five days. These two live close to her, so they basically report every day.

The base is my home. A few of us drink tea and chat about the gossip of the neighbors. Your son is my daughter, my son is your son-in-law...

Su Xia brought the fruit to the coffee table, and seeing that they looked so happy about whatever they were talking about, she also smiled.

I went back to the bedroom and lay on the bed. In case I was really not there, there were so many people accompanying my mother, hoping that this would divert her attention.

Before I knew it, I fell asleep.

Su Xia was woken up by her mother.

Watching my mother prepare a table of dinner, stir-fried meat, garlic vegetables, and egg soup, it really makes me hungry.

Su Xia took the rice her mother served and ate it without even looking up.

"Burp..." After eating two bowls of rice, I feel really comfortable.

"My girl, I'll make you braised pig's trotters and sweet and sour pork ribs tomorrow. You look so skinny."

"It's okay." He touched his arm and there was no change.

Hey, there is a kind of thinness that "makes your mother feel".

"Mom, you usually eat meat yourself, don't keep it in the refrigerator for too long, it's not good."

"Don't worry, your mother has everything she needs. Every day when your aunts come, one brings some vegetables, the other brings some fruits. Every two days they buy some fresh meat, and we even had hot pot yesterday."

Seeing her mother's proud face, Su Xia felt more at ease. With these friends, her mother would be much happier.

After dinner, Su Xia went downstairs to eat.

Walking around the streets of the community, there are all kinds of shops, eating, daily necessities, entertainment, and there is also a market. The geographical location here is really convenient.

I saw the "Multi-Store" and walked in to have a look. In fact, Su Xia likes to go to this kind of store the most. The products inside are really complete, and it feels like shopping on Taobao.

Hair bands, combs, mirrors of different sizes, small hair clips of all kinds, earrings, various necklaces, which also look good on the neck.

...For dressing up, no matter adults or children, buy the largest bag possible, and save it until you can open a store.

Small bowls, cups, chopsticks, plates, large bowls, ceramic and stainless steel basins, 10 of each in small sizes,

There are 5 pieces of each of the kitchen utensils, such as spoons, shovels, colanders, scrapers, and shredders.

Wet wipes, garbage bags, disposable condoms, and rubber condoms, 5 of each.

Mop bucket, sweeper, folding wooden table, 2 sets of each old style and large and small chairs.

Children's toys: building blocks, magic, chess, backgammon, poker, glass balls, pinballs, skipping ropes, footballs, tennis balls, basketballs, table tennis... 3 sets of each.

Listening to the "clicking" of the boss's calculator, Su Xia calmed down.

In the end, all these amounted to only 1,600 yuan. Su Xia saw that the balance was 380 yuan, so she added a lot of towels, alarm clocks, electronic watches, calculators, and various small household items.

Finally, I added another twenty pairs of slippers and ten pairs of cotton shoes.

Su Xia carried two large bags and walked one by one to the outdoor stairs downstairs. This folder was very hidden, and she put the things into the space.

Then I went to the store one by one... I ran back and forth 5 times. You can imagine what Su Xia bought.

Su Xia was so busy that her mouth was dry and she didn't want to go upstairs. She just wanted to go there slowly.

Su Xia crossed the street to study on the other side. There was a high school on this side and there were many people in the store.

I bought a cup of milk tea and walked to the side of the road, drinking it while watching the phone.

There are students all around me, in groups, and everyone has a smile on their face. However, the height of children is really high now. Even the girls are half a head taller than me.

Su Xia was also very happy watching them playing and fighting!

Suddenly, there was a "bang" like something falling silently...

The sharp sound of brakes scared the students around. They seemed to be frozen, staring blankly at the students who were trembling all over on the side of the road.

Su Xia felt that her consciousness was becoming increasingly unclear, her whole body was aching, and something seemed to be flowing out of the back of her head.

I stared at the opposite side with blurry eyes, thinking about the last WeChat message I sent to my mother on my phone.

Su Xia slowly closed her eyes, holding the phone tightly in her hand: the screen showed her husband chatting on WeChat...

Seeing the bright red blood flowing out and soaking Su Xia's clothes, the passers-by around them woke up and called the police and an ambulance, but Su Xia was unaware of these.
