Before losing consciousness, Shen Miao heard several anxious voices.
Some called out "Mother," while others called her name. She carefully distinguished them, and one voice seemed to belong to Qingchen.
However, she could no longer think too much; she had completely fallen into boundless darkness.
When she woke up again, a beastman and a majestic snow wolf were sitting by her bedside. Both of them were looking at her with concern. A trace of confusion flashed in Shen Miao's eyes, but she quickly regained her senses.
"You've been watching over me the whole time?" Shen Miao slowly sat up.
Jiuying helped her up, and Shen Miao smiled and said, "No need to help me, I'm not actually injured, I'm just too tired."
Although the giant fish was ferocious, it did not harm her.

“And us too.” The four little ones peeked out from under the bed.

The snow wolf also joined in the fun, licking Shen Miao's hand with a soft "woof woof".

When evening came, Shen Miao had finished cooking, but couldn't find anyone. Just as she was getting anxious and about to go out to look for them, the children ran back from outside.
"Where did you go?" Shen Miao quickly stepped forward and asked.
Erbao exclaimed excitedly, "Mommy, we saw a giant fish! It's so big!"
As he spoke, he stretched the fish apart as far as he could to show its size, completely unaware that Shen Miao's face had turned as black as the bottom of a pot.
Seeing that things were going badly, Da Bao and the others turned pale. They tugged at Er Bao's clothes and whispered, "Don't say anything, Er Bao."
"You went to the pool?" Shen Miao asked through gritted teeth, enunciating each word clearly.
Erbao finally realized what was happening, and quickly covered his mouth with his hand, backing away frantically, his eyes darting around in a panic: "I...I...I didn't say anything, I don't know anything."
Da Bao's forehead was sweating: "Mommy, Er Bao is..."
"I'm asking you, did you go to the pool, Sanbao and Sibao?" Shen Miao's expression was more serious than ever before.
Sanbao and Sibao were timid and, when called upon, they stammered, "Mother, Mother, we just went to take a look, and came right back."
Shen Miao laughed in exasperation, "What did you promise me? I said what would happen if I didn't listen?"
Erbao's face turned pale: "I'll spank you."
"Alright, now turn around, bend over, and stick your butts out!" Shen Miao commanded.
The children didn't move, looking at Shen Miao pleadingly.
Shen Miao raised an eyebrow: "What, don't want to get a spanking? Then tell me who started it, and I'll only spank him."
His gaze swept over the cubs.
The babies fell silent, looked at each other, said nothing, and simply turned around, sticking their little bottoms up.
Shen Miao sneered, "Fine, so you've all learned to try and fool me together, huh? Fine, then let's fight."
She pulled out a small stick from the side and started slapping the four little bottoms.
With each tug, the little bottom would twitch back. Shen Miao was both annoyed and amused, but her hands didn't stop moving. Before long, several little bottoms turned into a red patch.
Shen Miao deliberately said, "I won't hit anyone who tells me who the leader is."
Even when picking up the baby, they gritted their teeth and refused to say anything.
"What, none of you are going to say anything? Fine, then I'll keep fighting and see who can hold back first," Shen Miao coaxed.
Da Bao tilted his head and said, "Mother, don't hit Er Bao and the others. I was the one who said I wanted to go see the giant fish."

Shen Miao narrowed her eyes. What was so glorious about this? They were even fighting over it in front of her. Her hands were itching even more. Suddenly, she felt like she could spend another two hours.
Jiuying came over and advised, "Chenmiao, let it go. They're just little kids, it's normal for them to be curious. Just don't do it again next time."
Shen Miao said coldly, "Do they look like they know they're wrong? I'm sure if we let them off this time, they'll do it again next time!"
Jiuying hurriedly said, "Dabao, quickly apologize to your mother, tell her you know you were wrong and won't do it again next time, hurry!"
