Shen Miao pretended not to hear.
Green Pearl was taken back to the tribe, where she cursed incessantly. After Jiu Ying kicked her a few times, she finally quieted down.
Shen Miao asked Jiu Ying to inform the other beastmen. They rushed over and beat Green Pearl, cursing her for harming their own tribe and for being vicious.
Some of the orcs wanted to kill her on the spot, but Shen Miao stopped them.
“Now is not the time to execute her. The clan leader and elders are not here. If we kill her like this, it will be difficult to explain to them,” Shen Miao said calmly.
An orc said angrily, "She's already colluded with the enemy. If we don't kill her, who knows if she'll contact that Bloodworm Clan again next?"
All the beastmen felt that keeping Green Pearl was dangerous.
Shen Miao pondered for a moment and said, "How about this, leave her with me, I'll watch over her and make sure she doesn't go out and cause any trouble, what do you all think?"

Green Pearl kept making a fuss until very late, finally calming down when she was completely exhausted.
Shen Miao admired her for being so troublesome. She told Jiu Ying to only give her two meals a day, just enough to keep her alive, so that she wouldn't eat her fill and then continue to curse.

Shen Miao smiled without saying a word, and handed another portion to the cat-beastman. The cat-beastman exclaimed in surprise, "Why did you specially prepare a portion for me today? How can I accept this?"

The cat-beastman happily accepted it, and without disturbing the two, went to eat it on the side.
