The Green Bamboo Sect orc was furious. Holding a stick as thick as a bowl, he pointed it fiercely at the demonic wolf and said, "What are you looking at? You want to get beaten up again?"
Fearing that the demon wolf might say something outrageous and get a beating, Shen Miao quickly replied, "No, you're not telling us where I'm going. It just wants to say goodbye."
After saying that, Shen Miao waved to the demon wolf and forced a smile: "Go back and lie down. It's alright, we'll meet again."
The wolf said nothing, watching as Shen Miao was led away.
Along the way, Shen Miao tried every trick in the book to get information from the orcs who were escorting her. She asked one of them, "Are you going to send me to my companions this time? By the way, my companions are a few male beasts. They were captured with me."
She kept talking, but the orc didn't answer.
Shen Miao didn't give up and kept babbling on and on until the beastman got annoyed and yelled, "Shut up!"
Shen Miao shut her mouth.
Looking around, she was surprised to find that she seemed to have been taken to a desert.
What are they trying to do? Do they think that locking her in a dark room isn't enough to torture her, and now they're going to throw her into the desert?
The Green Bamboo Sect really knows how to torment people.
The desert was very hot, making walking difficult. Shen Miao quickly became so thirsty that her throat felt like it was on fire, but the orcs escorting her didn't even think of giving her a sip of water. They just kept urging her to hurry up.
Shen Miao slowed down more and more, and she said with a bitter smile, "If this continues, you'll probably only be able to imprison a corpse."
"Enough with the nonsense!" the orc grumbled. "Get out of here. Think about your companions. If you don't want them to die for no reason, then behave yourself."
Shen Miao swallowed her anger and kept quiet.
But she was so tired that she was seeing double and her body was swaying precariously.
Suddenly, a body of water appeared before her, and she found herself in it, with a pair of eyes watching her from all sides.
A pair of scarlet eyes, eerie and full of malice.
Shen Miao shook her head. What was wrong? Was she hallucinating because she was thinking about water so much?
However, she quickly realized that was not the case.
The image that just appeared in her mind might be a harbinger of the future.
This has happened once before.
So, next, this orc will take her to a body of water where an unknown creature is waiting for her.
As Shen Miao pondered these thoughts, her steps slowed down.
"Didn't you eat? Hurry up!" The Qingzhu Sect beastman shoved her hard.
Shen Miao staggered and fell directly onto the sand, swallowing a mouthful of sand.
Lying down is so comfortable, she really doesn't want to get up.
But the next moment, she was lifted up by the back of her neck without any politeness, and the Qingzhu Sect beastmen forced her to continue walking forward.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, just when Shen Miao thought she might never see the water and would die in the desert, the orc suddenly said, "We've arrived."
Upon hearing her voice, Shen Miao raised her head, her pupils widening slightly.
What appeared before her was a body of water. At this moment, Shen Miao no longer cared about why there was such a body of water in the desert. Her mind was filled with the thought that her premonition was about to come true again.
"Didn't you want to drink water? Now there's enough water, go and drink it."
The orc pushed her from behind, shoving Shen Miao towards the edge of the water. Shen Miao was cautious and dared not approach.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck, her vision went black, and her body went limp as she collapsed.
The Qingzhu Sect beastman muttered a few words to the unconscious Shen Miao, then bent down, picked her up, and threw her into the water.
After an unknown amount of time, Shen Miao slowly woke up.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she realized her current situation. Her entire body was submerged in water, and in front of her, a pair of eerie, blood-red eyes were staring intently at her.
It seemed ready to pounce on her at any moment, tear her apart, and devour her.
The scene was exactly as she had foreseen.
Shen Miao didn't waste a second and immediately retreated at lightning speed. As soon as she moved, the thing moved with her, and it was very fast. It was clear that it lived in the water.
Shen Miao was greatly alarmed.
How could a land-dwelling human fight against a water creature?
She was completely powerless and unable to use her powers. She felt a sense of bewilderment, wondering if she was going to die here today.
The thing with a pair of blood-red eyes was already approaching.
Shen Miao used all her strength to dodge, but her speed slowed down, while the thing became more and more ferocious, its open mouth revealing a dense array of teeth.
The other party is tired of this chase game and is ready to devour her whole!
"Help! Is anyone there? Please help me!"
Shen Miao let out a deafening scream.
No sooner had she shouted than a figure descended from the sky and launched several attacks on the blood-red ghostly thing. Enraged by the attack, the thing turned around and charged at the expert.
The two sides then started fighting in the water.
Shen Miao breathed a sigh of relief and quietly swam to the shore. Over there, the expert, seeing that Shen Miao had reached the shore, unleashed a powerful attack on the thing and quickly retreated.
The creature chased the two to the shore, but was forced back by the powerful figure's abilities. It could only glare angrily at the two before diving down and disappearing in the blink of an eye.
Having witnessed this thrilling battle, Shen Miao asked with lingering fear, "Where did it go?"
"It's hidden," the expert said.
Shen Miao breathed a sigh of relief. Hiding meant it was no match for a master, but she was still puzzled, "Why didn't you kill it just now?"
The expert looked at Shen Miao and shook his head, saying, "Because I can't kill it, I can only force it to retreat."
"Oh, I see." Shen Miao understood and solemnly bowed to the orc whose age was hard to discern, saying, "Thank you for saving me, sir. If it weren't for you, I would have died here today."
The orc waved his hand and said, "It was nothing."
He paused, then asked suspiciously, "How did you get here, and how did you get entangled with that thousand-year-old corpse fish?"
Shen Miao asked blankly, "Those are corpse fish? I don't know. I was brought here by the people from the Green Bamboo Sect. They knocked me unconscious, threw me into the water, and made me food for the corpse fish."
Upon hearing this, the expert was somewhat indignant: "The actions of the Green Bamboo Sect are truly despicable."
"That's right, they've done many more despicable things. By the way, expert, could you help me rescue my companion?" Shen Miao suddenly asked nervously.
"Do you have any companions? Where are they?" the wise man asked.
