Chapter 364 Taking Action

Frostflower was even more puzzled: "Where did this little beastman come from? If you are a little beastman, why are you stopping me? Letting me take a look won't cost you a piece of flesh. Honestly, am I not your daughter anymore? You really have the heart to push me away."

The old orc had no choice but to let Frostflower in, but warned, "Don't make a sound. He just fell asleep and is still injured. Don't scare him."

"I know," Shuanghua replied perfunctorily, glancing at the small figure lying on the bed.

Upon seeing this, they exclaimed in surprise, "Isn't this Shen Miao's little rascal? What's he doing here?"

The frost flowers were filled with doubt and uncertainty.

The old male beast quickly asked, "What, you know him? Whose son is he?"

Shuanghua glanced at her father and suddenly smiled: "Dad, how would I know him? I just feel sorry for him because he's so young and has such a bad injury."

The old male beast had no doubts: "I see."

Then, looking worried, he said, "This little orc fell off the cliff and broke his head. He doesn't quite remember his identity now. We'll send him back when he remembers."

Upon hearing this, Shuanghua's heart skipped a beat. "He can't remember anything?"

"It's not that I don't remember anything, it's just that it's fragmented and I can't quite put my finger on it."

Frostflower's eyes darted around, and she smiled radiantly at the old male beast, saying, "Father, go heat up my food. I'll stay here and watch over this little beastman for you. I'll wake you as soon as he wakes up."

"you?"

"Dad, hurry up, I'm starving!" Shuanghua pleaded.

The old orc had no choice but to leave. Before leaving, he told Frostflower not to disturb the little orc's sleep.

Frostflower readily agreed, but as soon as the old male beast left, the smile on her face vanished. She walked to the bedside, looked down at the little beastman on the bed, and sneered, "I never thought you would fall into my hands. I wonder if you're lucky or unlucky."

"You have memory problems, right? Well then, I'll give you another hand."

Frostflower stretched out her right hand, her five fingers forming a claw, covering Da Bao's head. Da Bao, in his sleep, seemed to sense the danger and uneasily shook his head.

The old male beast heated up the food and called Frostflower to come out and eat. Frostflower ate slowly and deliberately, quite unlike her usual wolfing down of food.

He couldn't help but feel a little puzzled and asked, "Shuanghua, what's wrong with you again?"

"What? What happened?"

"Why aren't you in a hurry to go out today?" the old male beast asked tentatively.

Shuanghua gave an "oh" and said slowly, "Dad, I don't plan to go out these few days. I'll stay at home and keep you company. Are you happy?"

Old male beast: "..."

He didn't know if he was happy or not; he just had a strange feeling in his heart.

Frostflower didn't care about the old male beast's feelings, and ate her meal by herself, her legs shaking incessantly, looking quite pleased with herself.

"Frostflower, the little one is awake!" the old male beast suddenly called out from inside the house.

Shuanghua put down what she was holding, wiped her mouth, and walked calmly into the house.

Inside the house, the old male beast said anxiously, "Little one, think again, who are your parents, and how did you fall?"

"I don't have parents; I grew up on my own." Da Bao said coldly.

Shuanghua had just reached the door when she heard this, and an unrecognizable smile appeared on her lips.

The old male beast was skeptical. "That's not right. Does this mean that after a good night's sleep, my memory is actually worse? I clearly remembered some of it before."

“Dad, Zai Zai is all better now. Everyone said that if there’s only one person, then his parents must have abandoned him. What’s so strange about that?” Shuang Hua interjected, then said to Zai Zai, “Don’t be afraid. Now that we’ve saved you, you’re family. We’ll face any difficulties together.”

Da Bao's expression softened a little after hearing these words.

For some reason, he felt an inexplicable urge to get closer to this young female beast.

Once Da Bao's head injury had healed a bit, he followed Shuang Hua around every day. Shuang Hua treated Da Bao very well, at least on the surface. She even put on an act in front of Da Bao, saying that she was being bullied by the snake beastmen family, and that they had forced her to stay inside the house. The snake beastmen often harassed her.

Upon hearing this, Da Bao flew into a rage and said with a stern face, "I'll avenge you and kill them."

"You?" Frostflower looked touched. "No, thank you. It's enough that you have the intention. You can't kill the snake beastman. He's very powerful. I'll just avoid him from now on."

Upon hearing this, Da Bao became even angrier. He rushed to the snake-beastman's house without a second thought, and before he could react, he killed the snake-beastman, his female beast, and his cubs.

Then he went to Frostflower and told her that the enemy had been dealt with.

Shuanghua was overjoyed and hugged Dabao, praising, "Baby, you're so amazing! Whether I'm bullied or not now depends on you."

Da Bao was very happy to be praised, feeling that he had done the right thing and could finally repay his savior in a small way.

What he didn't know was how strange Shuanghua's expression was when she turned around, out of his sight.

Shuanghua knew that Shen Miao was searching for Da Bao everywhere, and was still somewhat wary of him, so she didn't let Da Bao out of her sight. But Shen Miao still managed to find him by relying on the Gu worms.

Upon seeing Da Bao, Shen Miao was overjoyed and cried out as she tried to pounce on him.

Da Bao's expression was extremely unfamiliar and indifferent. He stood still, and his gaze towards Shen Miao was devoid of any warmth, as if he were a complete stranger.

Frost Flower gave him a gentle push from behind, and in an instant, Da Bao's expression changed.

It became incredibly ferocious, as if it wanted to devour anyone it could.

Shuanghua took a step back, watching quietly, a hidden, cold smile playing on her lips.

She had been waiting for this day for a long time.

A mother and child killing each other would be very interesting.

As Da Bao saw Shen Miao approaching, he immediately unleashed a wind blade. Shen Miao was startled and somewhat bewildered, seemingly not expecting Da Bao to attack her. She was completely stunned.

Qingchen, who arrived shortly after, shouted sternly, "Get out of the way!"

Shen Miao suddenly awoke from her reverie and quickly dodged, but Da Bao's wind blades followed one after another, each one a deadly attack.

Da Bao's strength should not be underestimated. Although he is no match for Shen Miao, his wind blades are very powerful. In addition, Shen Miao only dodges and does not intend to fight back, which puts Da Bao in a very passive position.

Several times, because I didn't dodge in time, my clothes were torn to shreds, and some even injured the skin underneath, causing blood to seep out.

Even so, she never thought of fighting back.

Frost Flower secretly channeled her spiritual power, forcing Da Bao to unleash his ferocity and lose all reason, seemingly determined to kill Shen Miao before he would stop.

Qingchen was both angry and anxious, and shouted, "Chen Miao, fight back!"
