Ahri nodded, but she found it strange.
Because the Gu worm between this person's eyebrows was asleep.
Furthermore, this Gu worm is harmless to its host; in fact, it is a Gu worm that can protect its host from all poisons.
Ah Li asked Bai Shisan to prepare silver needles, as she wanted to awaken the Gu worm.
Bai Shisan quickly brought over the silver needles, and Ah Li used them gently and precisely to approach the sleeping Gu worm.
But that's not right.
Ahri immediately stopped; this was not how the Gu worm was awakened.
Do you have a drum? A snare drum will do.
Ah Li put the silver needles back, then looked at Bai Shisan with the paper in her hand.
Bai Shisan nodded and said, "Yes, my brother has a very exquisite little drum."
Ah Li thought, "Sure enough, this person knows I have Gu worms on me."
Bai Shisan bent down and took out a delicate little drum from the person's bedside, saying, "This is it."
Ahri took the small drum, brought it close to the man's brow, and gently tapped it with her fingertips.
The small drum wasn't very loud, but the Gu worms were gradually awakening.
Its body began to tremble slightly, and what should have been a speck of cinnabar turned into thread-like strands that spread outwards from between the man's eyebrows.
Bai Shisan stared wide-eyed at the scene before him in disbelief. "What's going on?"
Ali returned the small drum to Bai Shisan and wrote with a pen, "[This is a Gu worm from Southern Xinjiang; it can protect people's safety and health.]"
As the Gu worms roamed around, the man's face began to regain color.
Seeing this, Bai Shisan slowly leaned closer and whispered in the other person's ear, "Axin, wake up."
Ahri didn't stop them; people who have been sleeping for a long time should be woken up by someone.
Ah Xin seemed to be struggling in his sleep. Suddenly he woke up and grabbed Bai Shisan by the neck.
Bai Shisan didn't struggle, but let A Xin pinch him, his eyes showing a hint of surprise, "It's good that you're awake."
Ahri didn't stop them; instead, she retreated.
Murong Xin quickly regained his senses. He withdrew his hand and looked at Bai Shisan apologetically, saying, "I'm sorry, I just dreamt about things from the past."
Bai Shisan didn't blame him and said, "It's alright, I'll have someone come in and take a look at you."
"No need, I'm fine."
Murong Xin picked up the small drum and rhythmically tapped it.
As the drumbeats grew more urgent, he suddenly coughed up a mouthful of black blood, his face turning ashen.
Murong Xin then put down the small drum and weakly said to Bai Shisan, "The people you found are also from the Southern Frontier?"
Otherwise, how would they know that the Gu worm between his eyebrows needed this small drum to be awakened?
Bai Shisan then realized that Ah Li was no longer in the house.
Bai Shisan had someone invite Ah Li in, and Ah Li entered quickly.
Murong Xin was now able to sit up. As he drank the water Bai Shisan poured for him, he asked Ah Li, "Are you from the Southern Frontier?"
Ahri shook her head, writing, "No, I'm not from Southern Xinjiang."
Murong Xin was somewhat skeptical, but Ah Li lowered her head and continued writing, "Why did you send people to hunt down Zhu Yu?"
Upon seeing the words, Bai Shisan said to Ah Li, "What nonsense are you talking about? Ah Xin has been unconscious the whole time. How could he have someone chasing after Zhu Yu?"
Ahri continued writing, "You'll have to ask your good brother."
Murong Xin put down the water glass in his hand and tugged at the corners of his lips, which had just begun to brighten. "It seems you know a lot."
Ahri held the calligraphy brush and slowly wrote: "Sometimes, hiding things from each other doesn't solve the problem. You have to say things face-to-face."
Murong Xin's expression remained unchanged. He said, "I never expected that in the end, it would be you, the mute girl, who would say these words to me."
"Ah Xin, what are you talking about? What are you hiding?" Bai Shisan asked Murong Xin.
Murong Xin looked at Bai Shisan and asked, "Do you really want me to say it? Even if it might change the relationship between us?"
Bai Shisan hesitated, then said, "Then don't say anything. I don't want to know."
Murong Xin suddenly stood up, took a deep breath, and forcibly suppressed his emotions. "Then I must say it."
Bai Shisan clenched his fist and pressed it to his lips, suppressing a laugh. He knew Axin would react this way.
Ahri stood quietly to the side, watching the interaction between the two, indicating that she had seen through everything.
Then she and Bai Shisan listened together as Murong Xin said, "If you hadn't suddenly said you didn't want to continue being emperor and wanted to leave, I wouldn't have done these things."
Bai Shisan is not actually Bai Shisan; his name is fake. He is the emperor of this country, Murong Yan.
The three characters "Bai Shisan" together form the character "Huang" (皇).
Why would they hunt down Zhu Yu?
It's because Murong Yan no longer wants to be emperor; he wants to leave this place.
Murong Xin did not want Murong Yan to leave, so he arranged for someone to pretend to poison him.
Once he falls into a coma, Murong Yan will stay with him forever, to accompany and protect him.
However, there is a miraculous doctor named Zhu Yu in this world.
Before falling into a coma, Murong Xin left a message: if this divine physician Zhu Yu was truly confident that he could revive him, then kill him.
Ahri stood to the side and silently complained: This guy is a madman.
Bai Shisan—no, it was Murong Yan—walked up to Murong Xin and asked with a puzzled look, "Why did you do this?"
Murong Xin suddenly became hysterical, "Isn't it all because of you!"
"Because of me?"
"right!"
Murong Xin grabbed Murong Yan's shoulders, as if he had nothing to lose, and shouted, "Do you know? I haven't had any family for a long time. You're the only one who's good to me, and you even gave me the name Murong Xin."
