Chapter 204 The Female Supporting Character's Obsession 2

Jinglian pointed to the herb with small purple flowers in front of her and said, "Everything in the world has its counterpart. I saw this herb in my master's handbook. It can counteract miasma. You only need to put a leaf of the herb in your mouth."

Ahri looked delighted. "Really? That's great!"

As Ah Li spoke, she picked a few leaves and was about to put one in her mouth.

Jinglian was even faster, having already picked up a piece and put it in her mouth.

"Master Jinglian, what's wrong with you...?"

“Miss Ali, let me try first. If nothing happens, you can try it then.” Jinglian said, then closed her eyes.

Ah Li smiled and put a piece in her mouth as well, saying, "Master Jinglian, it's no use trying it like this. You have to go into the miasma to see if it works."

After Ah Li finished speaking, she walked into the miasma with the herbs in her mouth.

However, although the herbs were useful, their efficacy was not high and they could not ward off miasma for long.

"Miss Ali, how are you feeling?" Jinglian asked from behind Ali.

Ahri came back, slowly spitting out the herbs, and said, "It's alright, I don't feel any discomfort."

Jinglian also spat out the herbs, saying, "These herbs don't taste very good either."

Ah Li walked towards Jing Lian and said, "However, something is better than nothing. When the time comes, I can take the herbs with me and go for a walk around the neighborhood to see if there's anything to eat."

Jinglian said, "Then I'll have to trouble you, Miss Ali."

Ahri turned to look at the cave. "I've cleaned up that cave. Let's go in."

Jinglian blushed and put her hands together, saying, "Amitabha, Miss Ali, you've worked hard."

She wanted to hug him again.

Ali picked up Jinglian and went into the cave.

After Ah Li put Jing Lian down, she said, "Master Jing Lian, let me check your broken leg and see if it can be reattached."

"Miss Ahri, you can even set broken legs?"

"Yes, Dawang from our temple broke his leg last time, and I was the one who set it."

After Ah Li finished speaking, she saw Jing Lian looking at her with great surprise, "Miss Ah Li is really amazing."

Dawang is a big black dog kept at the temple. It stays in the kitchen area every day and rarely goes outside.

Ah Li smiled but didn't say anything. He started touching Jing Lian's broken leg, and then, using skillful force with both hands, he snapped the broken leg back together in a few quick movements.

Jinglian bit his lip until it bled, his face was pale, and his forehead was covered in fine sweat.

As soon as Ah Li looked up at him, he forced a smile and said, "Thank you, Miss Ah Li."

Ahri said it was okay, and added, "Don't move around right now. I'll go find some big logs to stabilize you, and I'll also find some food."

"Alright, thank you for your hard work, Miss Ali." Jinglian clasped her hands together and said to Ali.

Ahri took a piece of herb, put it in her mouth, and then went outside.

Jinglian quietly watched Ah Li, then closed her eyes and began chanting sutras.

After Ah Li left, making sure that Jing Lian wouldn't notice her, she took out an antidote pill from her spatial storage and swallowed it.

Then they started looking for food everywhere. Jinglian was a monk and couldn't eat meat, so she could only look for wild vegetables and the like.

Ali also discovered some bamboo shoots and several bamboo baskets where they had fallen. Some of the baskets contained bamboo tubes for holding water and several small hoes.

Ahri checked them and found they were still usable, so she picked them all up and took them back.

They also found a few suitable long pieces of wood to take back and fix Jinglian's broken leg.

When they returned to the cave, Ah Li found that Jing Lian had fainted and had a fever.

Jinglian noticed that Ah Li had returned, so she half-closed her eyes and smiled gently, "Miss Ah Li, you're back."

Ah Li patted Jing Lian's head and said, "You have a fever."

"It's okay, I'll be fine after a nap."

With a faint smile, Jinglian drifted off to sleep again.

Ah Li didn't call out to him anymore. After he fell into a coma, Ah Li fixed his broken leg.

After his leg was secured, Ahri went outside and gathered a lot of dry grass, which he then used to make a place in the cave where he could lie down.

Ahri also collected a lot of wood and boiled a pot of water outside the cave. The pot was taken out of Ahri's system space.

To prevent Jinglian from finding out, Ah Li was placed outside.

Back in the cave, Ah Li saw that Jing Lian was still asleep, so he took apart two bamboo baskets and laid them on a pile of dry grass.

After doing all that, Ah Li carefully moved Jing Lian onto the haystack.

Then, after quietly observing Jinglian's appearance, Ah Li walked out of the cave and went outside to fetch some cooled water.

Fortunately, I just found a few bamboo tubes inside the bamboo basket that can be used to hold water.

Otherwise, it would be inappropriate to give someone water at this time.

Ali fed Jinglian water and also mixed in a fever reducer.

The fever reducer was bitter. Even in her drowsy state, Jinglian's eyebrows were furrowed, and she murmured, "Bitter."

Ah Li fed her some warm water, and Jing Lian seemed to feel a little better and fell asleep again.

Unidentified insect chirps and bird calls echoed outside the cave. Ah Li was right next to Jing Lian, and he lit a fire to keep out mosquitoes and also to make her sweat.

Outside the cave, Ali casually made some wild vegetable soup, adding some bamboo shoots and mushrooms.

When Ah Li heard a noise coming from inside the cave, she went inside.

Jinglian looked at Ali with some difficulty and said, "Miss Ali, I need to use the restroom."

Ali blushed as well, and said, "I just went to where we fell and found a few bamboo baskets and tubes. You can use them for now."

There were originally three bamboo tubes. One was given to Jinglian to hold water, and she wanted to use the other one herself.
