Chapter 208 The Female Supporting Character's Obsession 6

Just as Jingyuan was about to lose her temper, Ali stood behind Jinglian and said, "I sold that red fox to a hunter at the foot of the mountain."

I suppose it's time to make it into a scarf.

However, Ahri didn't say that.

Upon hearing this, Jingyuan seemed about to jump up and down. He pointed at Ali and said, "I never expected you to be such a vicious woman, with no kindness whatsoever!"

Jinglian narrowed her eyes and called out coldly, "Junior Brother!"

Just then, Ah Li suddenly said, "However, I've had someone give you the money from selling that red fox."

Jingyuan glared at Ah Li instantly, "When did you give it to me?"

Ahri said, "You forgot? That shouldn't be the case."

At this moment, Jingyuan remembered that someone had indeed brought a bag of things over in the past two days. He was in a hurry to find Red Fox at the time, so he didn't even look at it before letting someone take it away.

Before taking it, the man said, "Didn't you say a while ago that you wanted to buy some things for your room? I'll use this money to buy them for you."

Thinking of this, Jingyuan glared at Ali again, but was blocked by Jinglian.

"Good, you're all very good!"

Jingyuan flicked his sleeves and quickly left.

As Ah Li watched Jing Yuan leave, she muttered, "This is supposed to be a holy monk, but he can't compare to Master Jing Lian at all."

When Ah Li looked up, she saw Jing Lian quietly watching her.

Ah Li looked to the side, then back at Jing Lian, and said, "Thank you so much, Master Jing Lian, otherwise I was worried that this person would hit me."

Jinglian said, "With me here, he wouldn't dare."

Ah Li asked with a smile, "Master Jinglian, have you eaten yet?"

Jinglian shook her head, "Not yet."

"Then I'll cook you vegetarian noodles, okay?"

"Okay, thank you, Miss Ali."

Soon, Ah Li cooked a bowl of vegetarian noodles and placed it in front of Jing Lian.

Jinglian took a bite and said, "Miss Ali's cooking is excellent."

Ah Li was delighted to hear this and said, "Then Master Jinglian, eat more. If it's not enough, I'll cook more."

Looking at the plain noodles in front of her, Jinglian said, "This bowl is enough to fill me up."

"That Master Jinglian is really easy to take care of," Ah Li joked with a smile.

Jinglian blushed slightly. "Miss Ali, please don't joke around."

Ahri had other things to do, so she said, "Then you eat first, I'm going to do my work."

"Okay, go ahead."

Seeing Ah Li busy in the dining hall, Jing Lian slowly ate the vegetarian noodles in front of him.

After finishing a bowl of noodles, Jinglian even helped Ali wash the vegetables.

Just then, Jiekong rushed over in a flurry, saying, "Have you heard? Jingyuan got into a fight with the hunters at the foot of the mountain!"

So, when Jingyuan arrived at the foot of the mountain, he couldn't find the red fox at all.

He then inquired about the whereabouts of the red fox from the people around him.

He soon learned that someone had indeed bought a red fox, just a cup of tea's time away.

Jingyuan angrily questioned the hunter, "Why did you sell my red fox?"

Jingyuan was a holy monk, and many people knew him.

The hunter was suddenly confronted by Jingyuan and yelled at like that, so he didn't look too happy.

He said, "That red fox eats meat. Master Jingyuan is a holy monk. Does he also eat meat?"

Jingyuan was furious when he heard this. He didn't want to argue with this person and only wanted to find his red fox.

As he turned to leave, he noticed red fox fur in a cage.

He recognized it immediately; it was the fur of a red fox.

She's shedding so much!

Jingyuan smashed the cage with a single palm strike and carefully collected the fox fur.

The hunter objected, insisting that Jingyuan compensate him, saying, "Even if you are a holy monk, you cannot destroy other people's things at will!"

They even grabbed Jingyuan, preventing him from leaving, and insisted on going to the temple to find the abbot to reason with him.

In a fit of anger, Jingyuan beat the man up.

When Ah Li heard this, she felt that the male protagonist had completely lost his mind, doing such a thing for a red fox.

Jinglian also looked disapproving, saying, "Where is he now?"

"They should be heading up the mountain by now."

Jie Kong stroked his chin as he spoke, then looked at Ah Li and asked, "Miss Ah Li, would you like to go and take a look?"

Ahri shook her head and said, "No need."

However, Ah Li didn't want to go, but the abbot sent someone to fetch her.

When Jinglian saw that Ah Li was involved in this matter, he went along with her.

As soon as the hunter saw Ah Li, he said, "This is the girl who sold me that red fox."

Ah Li wasn't guilty at all, and said, "It was indeed me who sold it to this hunter."

Jingyuan stood to the side without saying a word, his face full of anger.

The abbot then asked, "Then why did you sell the red fox?"

Ah Li said, "That day, the red fox was carrying a pheasant that it had killed and almost bumped into the Queen, so I caught it."

"I thought it was just a wild fox from the mountains."

The abbot continued, "Then why don't you release it back into the wild, instead of selling it?"

Ah Li thought for a moment and then said, "May Buddha have mercy. I saw that the red fox was very ferocious. The pheasant that was bitten to death died a miserable death. Even the palace maids around the Empress were afraid when they saw it."

"In order to prevent other creatures in the mountains from being harmed by the red fox, I brought it to the foot of the mountain and sold it to this hunter."

Jingyuan remained silent at this moment. He refused to believe Ah Li's one-sided story. His little fox was so cute; how could she do such a thing!
